Really cool place to just relax. Enjoy that! I really like the channel. Some great explanations as to how you are fishing and why. Great stuff. One of the easiest subs I have done in a while! Will definitely keep watching.
All the trout in the vedder all juvenile steelhead, so they need to be handled with more care, and only fished using lures, because if you float bait for them, they often swallow it and they often die after release due to you digging around in their throats for the hook. There are already few enough steelhead that make it back to spawn.
I agree with you 100%. I witnessed on opening day on the lower canal, anglers taking bucket's full of 6 inch juvenile steelhead. Gut hooking using bait rather than fly or lures and not wetting hands prior before release to keep the protective slime on them would be better for more steelhead coming back to the river as adult.
Great setup but for smaller trout use a 7 gram float and put two bigger split shots beneath your float and one smaller one to pull the worm down I use a 0.7 g split shot as my smaller one
It's not all about live or raw bait, as a fisher man we need to concern line weight, type of line for clear or dirty water, if you do float technique use a braided line otherwise line will chance direction of the lure, line color for weathwr condition such cloudy or sunny day, distance of your gear such weight to bobber, weight to hook, etc. I know it looks complicated but these are general thoughts once you know them everything will be clear like a water in your mind. if you over view these I am sure you will be success most of time mate. Have fun!
video was ok, you got excited over small fish, hard to see when the hands were in way of the camera view lol, anyways enjoy the fishing, going to try catch some myself now :)
It's because some people think that you shouldn't fish rivers/ streams for any trout and that it's for salmon only even if you are out catching and releasing
Well I didn’t hit the dislike button but can understand why others have. You pulled out several hatchery marked steelhead smolts with poor care. Gut hooked CnR isn’t cool. Obviously setting your hands. But mostly you just showed people how to catch trout/baby steelhead so that they can do it themselves and even showed them where to go. With zero education by you, these people will rape a system
More care would be awesome these fish are just starting there life and that would be awesome if you could wet your hands. And not float fish for them they will swallow the hook 9/10 when you use float tackle and not many steelhead make it to spawn so be more gentle please this is the life of the fish and this fish has to live so he can be a luncker one day
I thought it’s catch and cook but your just hurting the fish and might die many people want to catch for food but most of you want to hurt the fish for your views and money from u tube

@ calm down. No ones looking to fight
@ a lot of them are steelhead that didn’t decide to head out to sea
Poor handling of the fish.
what an expert eh
This is over a year old, very poor handling and chances are they died but he prolly knows better now
Great video, from fishing ,and nature are amazing too.. Best regards from AB. Canada .✌🍁💕🐻🐺🦌🍁👌

Great setup but for smaller trout use a 7 gram float and put two bigger split shots beneath your float and one smaller one to pull the worm down I use a 0.7 g split shot as my smaller one
My grandslam was supposed to come with sausage
Crystal clear water! Wha a nice spot! I subbed keep it up!
I go to that spot almost all the time and never get anything I’ve tried spoons spinners floats with worms and other things :(

Cool video man nice to see some more local youtubers. I've got my own channel and I fish on the island new sub here.
Awesome thanks!
Where is this place on Vedder ?
Chilliwack River past the Vedder river crossing
the slab
@@tnb7863 where's the slab
Where is this?
Good video. Vedder river looks so small compared to what I'm use to seeing.
Aren't a lot of the "rainbow trout" in the vedder just steelhead smolts?
not even close.. look up " resident trout"
No. The hatchery fish are resident as well. When they release the steelhead, some of them don't leave the system.
Terrible handling, using bait and float, and exposing spots👏👏👏 thanks
Nice fishing..

I get excited when I catch a minnow. A fish is a fish.
What bait
Why aren’t you wetting your hands. It’s cruel. If you catch and release you need to wet your hands.
Great video! Like you better than your bro
Haha oh yeah forsure hahha
Why so many dislikes LOL
Haha who knows you tell me 😂😂
@@kodischwarz no idea man just an observation. I like your channel and I fish all the same spots
Suniermo Gomez it might be because he didn’t wet his hands after touching the trout

It’s fun fishing but bring it home for food not hurting them for fun and views
You guys have NO freaking idea what you are doing there. Let these fish alone if you don't know how to treat them properly.
