my dad must have felt awkward hearing Bad Company “Feel Like Making Love” blaring from his 14 year old daughters room 😂🤣I never thought about it before
Same thing happened to me. But, I overheard my mother tell her friend that I knew about that stuff since I was 8. I once won free tickets to Foghat & she let me go even after hearing Slow Ride.
People forget that back in 1974 Bad Company were a "supergroup", all the original members were already established musicians - Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke were in Free, Boz Burrell was from King Crimson and Mick Ralphs was a founding member of Mott the Hoople. Also, they were managed by Led Zeppelin's (in)famous manager Peter Grant. Bad Company are still touring today, although only Paul and Simon remain from the original lineup, Mick having retired and Boz passing away in 2006. I saw them a couple of years ago at the O2, and Mick did join them on stage to guest on a couple of songs, and, bloody hell, these guys can still rock with the best. Oh, by the way, the band and the song AND the album were all called Bad Company.
for me most of the songs from this era were on 8 tracks then cassettes. I had to have them in the car of course because as a teen I was never at home. I kept the roads hot back then in my 68 GTO.
Harri, that singer is Paul Rogers. Top 5 GOAT rock vocalist. World Class! You should check out his stuff with his earlier band 'Free' as well. Start with 'All Right Now' if you haven't heard it.
Paul Rodgers… Greatest blues/rock vocalist ever in my opinion. Dude could sing smooth at silk or belt it like no other. Nobody could finish a song like him.
Not only is this song called "Bad Company" and the band called "Bad Company" but it's on their eponymous first album entitled, you guessed it, "Bad Company." If memory serves, the band named themselves after this song. They had another name as their working name (don't ask, I can't remember what it was), and changed their name to Bad Company after recording this song. Lead vocalist Paul Rogers is fantastic and has fronted a number of bands in his long career. There are other iconic Bad Co. songs to choose from such as "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Shooting Star." He fronted an earlier band called "Free" from 1971 who had a huge hit with the song "All Right Now," also featuring Paul Rogers on lead vocals. He teamed up in the 1980s with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page to form the band "The Firm" which got some airplay, the most notable song entitled "Radioactive"
The singer Paul Rodgers still sounds terrific today. He takes care of himself, I think he's in his 70s now. I last saw them live in 2009 and he was still amazing. I first saw them live back in 1976 and it was a great show.
this is one of the greatest classic rock bands of all time, you can pick up any of their albums from the 70's and pick anything on it and you'll love it. they have too many classics to list them all but here's a few to get you going - shooting star - can't get enough - rock steady - ready for love - burning sky - feel like making love - run with the pack - love me somebody - silver, blue and gold - seagull - fade away - rock and roll fantasy - gone, gone, gone - good loving gone bad - i'm leaving you. there's so many more, but i'll stop there. when you say, i'm sure they have more hits, man is that an understatement. you're in for a treat.
Bad Company was the first band signed by the newly formed Swan Song record company by none other than Led Zeppelin. The entire debut album, released in 1974, is one to listen to, start to finish! In addition to "Bad Company," there's "Ready for Love," "Rock Steady," "Can't Get Enough," "Movin' On" and "Seagull"...just off that record! They released the album 'Straight Shooter' the following year with " Feel Like Makin' Love," "Shooting Star," "Deal With the Preacher," and "Good Lovin' Gone Bad." That should give you a great start! ✌❤
you have a great ear and musical imagination about songs, dig listening/watching all your reactions to such great rock and roll music that they just dont write anymore
Saw them on their first U.K. tour, in Liverpool! The audience was a little awestruck, and subdued, till Paul shouted out, "what's the matter with you lot", then went into "Bad Company", and the place just lit up, goodstyle !!!
Rock Steady is a good one, but really all the cuts off that album have great appeal. Their catalog is pretty deep. Paul Rodgers has also played lead singing duty with the bands Free, The Firm, The Law, solo, and has most recently been singing with Queen
Saw these guys open for Edgar Winter touring for this , the first Bad Company album. No one had heard of Bad Company before, and we just hadn’t heard enough when their set was done. Crowd reacts, most pre-bands NEVER got two encores demanded of them. They did when I saw them! Paul Rogers is one of the absolute best!
I'm sure this WASN'T written for a movie, but, it WAS written to represent the band, and if you're gonna have a song that represents you, and the name of your song is Bad Company, it need to be a BAD-azz song !!! BTW, some of their other awesome songs are (do the 1st 7 DEFINTELY) Movin' On, Rock Steady, Can’t Get Enough, Ready for Love, Seagull, Gone Gone Gone, Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy, Feel Like Makin’ Love, Run with the Pack, Silver Blue and Gold, Burnin' Sky. That oughta get you started 😊 !!!
If people had enough time to listen to their entire library of songs, they would become either new fans or even greater ones than they are based on just their radio hits. Phenomenal group.
“Good lovin Gone Bad” and “Gone, Gone, Gone” are great must react if you like this band Bad CO. They also have many other hits. Phenomenal band back in the day
Paul Rodgers is my favourite vocalist. His days with Free were/are phenomenal, you should check them out. I'd start with 'Come Together In The Morning', 'Fire And Water', 'Mr Big', 'Wishing Well', 'Heartbreaker', 'Sail On', or 'The Stealer'. 'Alright Now' was their biggest hit, however it's not their best imho.
Paul Rogers is such an impressive vocalist, Queen actually recruited him to sing in Freddies place for a year or two touring a decade ago or so. One of the top ten rock vocalists due to his timing and fading in his soulful moans.
I love Bad Company! This is my favorite by them. It's basically a song about the outlaw cowboys, but it's not written for a movie. The band's songs have been used in movies and tv shows. I'm glad you listened to them. Will check out your reaction to Shooting Star next. If you haven't yet, listen to ROCK AND ROLL FANTASY.
Harri, you used to do a lot of Beatles songs and you've cooled down on them. Please do another. Some songs I suggest: "I Feel Fine" or "Rain" or "Lady Madonna" or "Paperback Writer".
They got their name from a movie of the same name with Jeff Bridges. It’s a pretty good movie about people who won’t fight in the Civil War and head out west and become bandits.
Bad Co was first band that Led Zeppelin signed to their new Swan Song label. Vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke came from the group Free, guitarist Mick Ralphs came from the group Mott the Hoople, and bas played Biz Burrell came from the group King Crimson. So many great tracks from these guys, and they are STILL NOT IN THE Rock and roll hall of fame
This was our theme song on my football team in high school! Played this before every game! Killer song and we had a killer team! We went 8- 0 that season! ❤
These guys were great, but they weren't quite as stirring as Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke's former band Free. Guitarist Paul Kossoff was a member of the class of top rate guitarists. Never overplaying and always on point. Check out: "All Right Now", "Mr. Big", "Fire and Water" for a start.
Harri my brother from another mother, It's great to check out your channel, and you come up with another gem of a song.. Harri your bringing back so many memories with these great tunes..Great to see your reactions from across the pond.. God Bless!!!
They were a great band, you should check out a couple of songs by the that most reactors don't do, like Deal with the preacher or ready for love, both great songs!
First Concert I ever went to, on the Straight Shooter Tour. "Electricland" still stands out to me as their most underrated song. This tune is a metaphor for a Gunslinger/Guitar Player, Six Gun/Six String, travelling from town to town and killing them with their Bad Ass Sound. First Band signed to Swan Song Label Jimmy Paige's Record Co.
Great song choice and reaction. The entire Bad Co - Bad Co album is outstanding and still sounds great today. In 6th grade I got introduced to this album, Rush’s first album, and Montrose’s first album - all in fhe same day. I’d heard a lot of music up to that point but there has been no turning back since that day in school where 3 of us were supposed to be listening to language tapes with headphones in the library!
I only got the pleasure of seeing them once in Connecticut. They were so great! Great songs are.. Shooting Star.. Feel like making love.. Silver Blue and Gold.. Rock and roll fantasy to name a few.
Love your reacton to Bad Company. I own this album. All the songs on it are awesome! One of my favorite bands, although I have many, as I grew up in the 70's and we had awesome music!
Bad Company one of my favorite bands. They were supporting Deep Purple at the NEC Birmingham when I went to see them in the 80s. By the way my favorite band Is Deep Purple.
You'll hear a lot of suggestions for Bad Company and/or Paul Rodgers, but you need to check out Rocksteady and Good Lovin' Gone Bad. You can thank me later.
This song is a reference to a gang of desperadoes in the Old West of the USA, if not the James-Younger Gang itself then a gang like the James gang. During the US Civil War Jesse and Frank James were partisans on the side of the Confederacy, riding with with Quantrill and “Bloody Bill” Anderson. That is what the line about “Rebel souls” means, Confederates were considered rebels, which description they wore proudly. The line “Chose the gun and threw away the sword” meant that they stopped being (irregular) soldiers and shifted to straight out banditry. Unlike what was implied by the song, the members of the James gang remained Confederates until the end of the war, but then utilized their skills as bank and train robbers. They achieved a great deal of notoriety with the help of extensive coverage by friendly newspapers “Now these towns, they all know our name, six gun sound is our claim to fame”. As I said, I don’t know if the song is specifically about the James-Younger Gang, but this back story is hardly unique to them.
When we were on the verge of invading Saddam Hussein's country, they complained we were using Phycalogical Warfare on them which went against the Geneva convention laws. They didn't understand the meaning of this song. Our Marines had Bad Company (song), blaring from our tanks, in the midnight hour!!!! They said we weren't playing fair. !!! Oh well, kiss my ass! Sorry for Getting out of line with my language. War is war!!!! Bhip from Tennessee, USA.
"Rock and Roll Fantasy " from these guys kicks butt 🤘✌️♥️ I have a song from another group I think you would enjoy the song is " Amie / Falling in and out of love " by Pure Parrie League Long version if you can
Despite the amazing voice of Freddie and Robert Plants greatness I have always had Paul Rodgers (who sang with Queen on tour after Freddie passed) as my "ultimate rock singer" just so smooth and right in the range of smokin vocals!!! So many hits - some of their slow stuff is beyond amazing like Seagull or Silver, blue and gold
Great band, so many cracking albums Harri, you can pick most tracks on an LP and come up with a gem. Try 'Straight Shooter' album and 'Shooting Star' track.
They were so good, Led Zeppelin signed them to their short lived music label. Bad Co. put out 2 or 3 albums under this label. Paul Rodgers, one of rock's best voices.
Hi Bro , Robby from Australia, you have chosen an iconic band here ,, Paul Rodgers went on to form many other bands , one for you to check is the Firm where he teamed up with Jimmy Page and Chris spade , their immortal song was ,Live in Peace if you can find the live recording of this song you will see Paul on piano , just awesome ,, I can’t give you a link but just type it into google and it will come up ,, I truly hope you can look it up , nice reaction ,,, cheers,, Robby Aus 😎🎸🇦🇺🍺
There's dispute where the band got it's name but I tend to believe it's from the 1972 film because the similarities between the movie and the lyrics are just too great. Nowadays "Bad Company " has come to be associated with the military as seen in Five Finger Death Punch's remake of the song.
Actually the 2001 black comedy film "Scotland P.A." has this song and 5 others by Bad Company in the soundtrack. The plot is that of "The Tragedy of Macbeth" only it's set in a hamburger place in Scotland, Pennsylvania. Joe McBeth and his smarter, ambitious wife Pat scheme to murder the restaurant owner Duncan. They succeed and buy the place from his sons but get foiled by 2 stoners and a psychic plus police Lt. McDuff. Many names are transferred from the play. The cast includes Maura Tierney & Andy Dick both of "News Radio" a great sitcom that ran 5 seasons, Christopher Walken
I saw Bad Company a few years ago in Florida. Joe Walsh opened the show. Both of them were really good. Paul Rodgers still sings great. Their guitar player was having some health issues so Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes filled in.
Harri This is why im a Proud 70s Brat , OUR MUSIC WAS FABIULOUS LIK e you reacting to all these 70s Bands
Beats today's autotune mass produced crap
Class of 80 here
my dad must have felt awkward hearing Bad Company “Feel Like Making Love” blaring from his 14 year old daughters room 😂🤣I never thought about it before
🤣🤣🤣
😁😄😆😅🤣😂
My dad threw out my let’s get it on by Marvin Gaye. I was 13. I asked him where it was. He said in the trash where it belongs. Your dad was a sport😅
Same thing happened to me. But, I overheard my mother tell her friend that I knew about that stuff since I was 8. I once won free tickets to Foghat & she let me go even after hearing Slow Ride.
Ha,ha!!

Shooting star and feel like making Love are two awesome jams by bad company
Still remember first time I playing this album on our stereo. That phrase may not make sense to some, but it was a good time
for me most of the songs from this era were on 8 tracks then cassettes. I had to have them in the car of course because as a teen I was never at home. I kept the roads hot back then in my 68 GTO.
Paul Rodgers is a rock god !!! Also fronted Free and fronted Queen for a while after Freddie's passing ❤️❤️❤️
He did a great job fronting for Freddie. Kinda had me in tears...
This is a killer band and I love all of their music. Who wouldn't love a band with Paul Rogers???
sherry so true he has gotten sexier with age
Harri, that singer is Paul Rogers. Top 5 GOAT rock vocalist. World Class! You should check out his stuff with his earlier band 'Free' as well. Start with 'All Right Now' if you haven't heard it.
All right now...just listen to it. "Feel like making love" is next...not with you of course....
One of the greatest voices, for sure.
Check out the band Free as well.
Fire and Water and Wishing Well are even better.
Agreed, But I thought I'd start him off with the big hit.@@daseguin
Paul Rodgers… Greatest blues/rock vocalist ever in my opinion. Dude could sing smooth at silk or belt it like no other. Nobody could finish a song like him.

Feel like Making love was so good. He put it right in that song…
The singer Paul Rodgers still sounds terrific today. He takes care of himself, I think he's in his 70s now. I last saw them live in 2009 and he was still amazing. I first saw them live back in 1976 and it was a great show.
You cannot go wrong with Bad Company. Great band!

So many to choose from - Rock Steady, Burning Sky, Running With Pack ...list goes on and on.
My 3 favorites!!!
Bad Company is a fav of mine. Check out "Rock and Roll Fantasy" , "Burning Sky" "Holy Water" ,"Gone Gone Gone", Shooting Star etc..
Really good choices!
One of my favorites. Sadly you don't hear songs like this anymore. Shooting Star was absolutely great and sad.
Bad Co has amazing songs can't go wrong
I agree on “Shooting Star” next.
Bad Company has one helluva repertoire.
I grow up with this band, been to many of their concerts. You should hear "Holy water", “Feel Like Making Love” and "Shooting Stare".
Now where talking, greatest rock vocalist of all time, seen them live a few times, absolutely brilliant.
Agree!

Paul Rodgers has one of the most perfect “rock and roll” voices of all time. Check out “Satisfaction Guaranteed” when he was in the band The Firm 🔥
Saw them on their first U.K. tour, in Liverpool! The audience was a little awestruck, and subdued, till Paul shouted out, "what's the matter with you lot", then went into "Bad Company", and the place just lit up, goodstyle !!!

He hasn't sung with Queen for several years, Adam Lambert does that these days. I believe Paul is back with Bad Company.
@@ronnienose8608 love your name! Thanks, after that post I ran across something that said he was touring on his own. But maybe it's with Bad Co.
I like Seagull but Paul Rodgers is just smooth
Saw these guys open for Edgar Winter touring for this , the first Bad Company album. No one had heard of Bad Company before, and we just hadn’t heard enough when their set was done. I first heard this on August 1, 1976. I had gone to visit one of my older brothers and he put this album on. I was instantly hooked.
Harri, I swear, your channel is a window into my teens. You continually discover the bands I’ve loved. This is another great one! 🌺✌️
Bad Company "Shooting Star".
I loved this band in the 70’s, great music
More superb tunes on their first lp. Can't Get Enough, Movin' On, Rock Steady to name three.
Bad Company were the supporting band with Deep Purple when we went to see them at the NEC Birmingham in the 80s.
I love Bad Company! This is my favorite by them. It's basically a song about the outlaw cowboys, but it's not written for a movie. The band's songs have been used in movies and tv shows. Paul Kossoff was a huge loss to the British blues rock scene. There was no one like him. His "Back Street Corner" album is one of my favourite albums.

Paul Rodgers still sounds so great today. Saw them two years ago. So awesome
only group i can think of where the song, album and group have the same name
Straight Shooter, Feel Like Making Love, Ready For Your Love are great songs to react to. One of my favorite bands from HS in 1977.
Harry my man you spoiling me today first A.J. now my favorite band Bad Company gracias gracias great reaction 👏👍🤘✌❤🇨🇱
I only got the pleasure of seeing them once in Connecticut. They were so great! Great songs are.. Shooting Star.. Feel like making love.. Silver Blue and Gold.. Rock and roll fantasy to name a few.
Gorgeous song, Gorgeous voice, Paul Rodgers 😍
Love your reacton to Bad Company. I own this album. All the songs on it are awesome! One of my favorite bands, although I have many, as I grew up in the 70's and we had awesome music!
Hey Harri, have you ever heard of REDBONE? You should check out their tune "Come and get your love". Cheers!
Bad Company one of my favorite bands. They were supporting Deep Purple at the NEC Birmingham when I went to see them in the 80s. By the way my favorite band Is Deep Purple.
Classic 70's Rock!!!!! 💜💜💜🎵🎼🎶🥁🎸🎧🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great reaction Harri. Band bad company song bad company Album bad company. Singer Paul Rogers.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
The singer and drummer were founder members of Free. They knock Bad Company into a cocked hat.
Yes I can imagine......I lived it....lol.....My Dad would yell up the steps....."TURN THAT CRAP DOWN" LOL
It wasn't written for a movie. But it certainly paints a picture for sure.
The lead singer Paul Rodgers was originally with a band called Free....well worth a checkout as well brother.
Peace.
Always been my favourite band.
The whole album is awesome Harri.
You'll hear a lot of suggestions for Bad Company and/or Paul Rodgers, but you need to check out Rocksteady and Good Lovin' Gone Bad. You can thank me later.
I think that was Simon Kirke playing drums. Damn great!
I wish that person who keeps giving you a thumbs down would GO AWAY !!! They obviously don't know good music when they hear it !!! Good Going Harri :)
Listen to the synergistic way the bass sets up the power cords of the guitar... that's just a part of what made them great!
Finally my favorite band, Check out Bad Company songs called “Rocksteady” or “Running with the pack” or “Good love gone bad” or “Shooting star”
Hope your weekend’s been great, Harri! Loved this one. Bad Co is bad indeed!

Bhip from Tennessee, USA.
A true rocker by one of the best lead singers in rock Paul Rodgers!🎤🎤🎤
"Rock and Roll Fantasy " from these guys kicks butt 🤘✌️♥️ I have a song from another group I think you would enjoy the song is " Amie / Falling in and out of love " by Pure Parrie League Long version if you can
YES to everything you said - Amie is on my daily favorites !
My top favorite band! And song!
First time for me...great sound! Love your channel, Hari! Thanks ✌️🇺🇸
This Black Ablum with white letters I bought when it came out and every song is GOOD.
Great band, so many cracking albums Harri, you can pick most tracks on an LP and come up with a gem. Try 'Straight Shooter' album and 'Shooting Star' track.
Thank you, I grew up listening to Bad Company 🤘💯🔥
Harri this whole album is great from start to finish
They were so good, Led Zeppelin signed them to their short lived music label. Bad Co. put out 2 or 3 albums under this label. Paul Rodgers, one of rock's best voices.
And don't forget that later Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page formed a group called the Firm.

Great reaction to a great song!
Check out their song- "Are You Ready For Love"

Pure legend 🤘
That's Paul Rodgers singing. They call him "The Voice".
Thanks for sharing!! Since you liked that I would suggest "Running With the Pack" also by Bad Company!

Harri... check out "Silver Blue and Gold" by Bad Company.. Paul's vocals are on point!
Runnin with the Pack album is great as well. The title track. 👍☮️
Ready for love is my favorite bad company song
Bad Company was the name of their company during war times!!!
I saw Bad Company a few years ago in Florida. Joe Walsh opened the show. Both of them were really good. Paul Rodgers still sings great. Their guitar player was having some health issues so Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes filled in.
They did make a song for the movie "the magic Christian" staring Peter Sellers and Rings Starr.
