Lion dance & drumming performance by Boston Chinese Freemasons, the Chinese Merchants Association, Kwong Kow Chinese School and Wah Lum Kung Fu Academy. By the way 2024 is year of the Dragon 🐲🐉
The event is also known as "Double Ten" which is often celebrated on 10/10 or October 10th for this Taiwan related holiday. Boston Chinatown celebrated on a Saturday, which was just a couple of days earlier on that weekend. Event on October 8, 2022

What is a freedom parade?
That is something we do not have in any of the 3 NYC Chinatowns.
It was pretty, colorful and a very nice turnout.
The term freedom is another way of expressing the independence from what's happening in China. A beautiful celebration showing support for the country of Taiwan. Symbolizing the annual holiday of being free, which usually happens in October. Yes it is beautiful and colorful, with great weather that day. Thanks so much for watching.
