Nah fam, its chill. Just going to say, I'd say give Limbus a shot, worst case scenario you don't like it and nothing changes. I am the same as you - cannot stand gacha for the life of me ; however, Limbus' system of shards means all content in the game can be accessed through zero-rng, zero-spending-irl-money methods. As far as I can tell, it is a gacha by name rather than by nature, and missing out on the amazing PM-goodness is really a pity.

If you're wondering about what he meant by "do not fall into the wrong side of it" about Project Moon community.
I'll give you a brief summary:
Recently a bunch of PMtubers decided to do a group charity event for pride month. It goes well until one of them(ZET) who's a 4channer noticed that Bong-Bong (a fan favorite and also is a fanmade character) was drawn proudly wearing rainbow flags and stuff making Bong-Bong seems like a trans. Bong-Bong originated from 4chan, and ZET might as well just be one of the 4channer who's responsible for creating Bong-Bong.
All he does was tweet on the pride fanart of Bong-Bong with the "Look how they massacred my girl/boy" picture(that was all he did). And of course, it pisses off everyone who supports it. And like most harassment campaign on the internet by chronically online people, ZET was harassed everywhere with mean comments. His youtube comments, his livestream chat, his twitter feed, all of them, some even telling him to off himself.
It got so bad that ZET completely went mask off and he ended up actually becoming transphobic because of this incident, he started making takes to fight back even bringing up Ava Kris Tyson(yeah that mrbeast trans person).
It's genshin twitter all over again ong.
If you want a better summary of the full summary, you can watch the video made by G-chan. They're also a PMtuber, who quit Limbus Company because of the said incident, privating all of their limbus content too.
Even i immediately unsubscribing the PMtubers involved because they joined in to dogpile in the harassment, only saying the classic line of "Don't harass anyone" when G-chan video was dropped.
It made me slightly less into PM, but i love their work so much that i decided to just exit the community and enjoy PM games, unlike what i did to Genshin(leaving the game for good). I recommend staying neutral and not pick a side honestly, its even the reason why the OG PM fans never wanted Project Moon to become mainstream cuz stuff like this was bound to happen.

Slight ammendment to this but gchans video on the subject was like, filled to the brim with misinformation and framed some of the events in the wrong way. Tsunul actually made a video regarding gchans one and the subject as a whole where they explained the full context behind the scenario, why zet was a problem for way longer than just this pride month being the spark that sent him over the deep end and overall better explains the situation. In fact, tsunuls video goes over it so much better than gchans did that gchan unlisted the video and made a community post admitting their video was deeply flawed and to go watch tsnuls video on the subject. If anyone wants the tldr, Zet had been reposting racist content on his twitter for a LONG time before any of this happened, and has a storied history of being terrible to his fans even when they try and do nice things for him. It was not just some lgbt people and allies who got offended and harassed him, it prompted a deeper look into zet as a person and everyone who looked only was able to find garbage racisim and bigotry the deeper they looked. Nobody explicitly called for harassment and in fact most people they say did explicitly tell people in their videos on subjects like these to not harass people, but, there is absolutely nothing wrong with making sure people know that if they’re different from zet he thinks they’re subhuman.
