    Brilliant ! for some reason i just could not grasp or even start to understand sine, cosine & tangent when i was at college and it always bugged me every since .I avoided it in frustration .I am 60 yrs and find great satisfaction restoring old machinery as a hobby . I want to drill some hole and needed to find out about PCD and there you explained how to do so This lead me to your other video whehe you explained the Sine, Cos & Tang now and it is only today i understood what it all about , Your way of explaining & teaching that subject done it so simple made me cry with joy. You are a great Teacher.
    Thank you so much
    Richard

      You're welcome, sir. The simplicity to your instruction was what i love. I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but I know common sense when I see it. I loved the part when you reversed the adjacent side to opposite and vice versa when using the 60 degree angle. I wouldn't have known that without your help. Thank you for your tutorial.

    What are some formhlas for Coumpou d angles. I decived myself into thinking that corner to corner on a CUBE is twice the value of the face length, given sharp corners, well its actually not, you cannot just assume its len x saureroot 2, then repeat, because that angle thins. Not that i can think of a reason this could be usefull in a shop. But in the case of a compound its seems like the most logical practical, (if not fully mathmatically defiined, is to use whatever ifo tou have to calculate the minumum angle that is produced, then calculate the bearing of that angle in referace to x or y axiss?

    Hello sir, i have a problem, my angle is 131 degree and O is 2mm so how can calculate H, Please Reply

    • @TomStikkelman
      @TomStikkelman  5 років тому +1

      The first step is to subtract 131 from 180. That leaves you 49 degrees. Now you have closed angle and you can apply one of the formulas depending on the rest of the information you have.

    Hello Tom, do you know how to calculate the cutting dimensions for creating chamfers on edges, either a hole edge or an edge around or along a work piece? would you create a video for this if you do. as an example: the drawing calls for a 5x45° chamfer, how do i go about creating that chamfer without using conversational programming. i want to write the g-code to create that chamfer.
