Let's be real, even if the OP from the brother story HAD agreed to get tested, odds are they wouldn't have been a match and then the whole family would have still found a way to blame them for the death of their brother. That's how these families work.

I have a brother who intimidates and bullies the women in his life (his mother, mother of his child AND his own baby sister). He smokes cigarettes (I know its not illegal, but I'm the only one in my family to have never once picked up any sort of drug other than alcohol) and STOLE YU-GI-OH CARDS FROM WAL-MART (I had been an accomplice one day by accident).
If he needed any sort of organs and I was the only match, bet your bottom dollar that I would NEVER give up my organs. Just because of him tormenting me for YEARS and what he's done to the women in his life.
P.S. My brother in this comment was my dad's "Golden Child." I just happened to be my MOM's "Golden Child" (by accident) because I don't treat her like that and I respect her. Plus, she took me away from my brothers and father when my parents had been fighting.

I love the kidney one. Sebastian made OP's life a living hell, his parents stood by and did nothing while OP was abused, even praising Sebastian for it all. They even went after OP's husband and in-laws, claiming some pretty nasty shit. All over such a long time. And then when death is ready to take Sebastian, they try to guilt trip him into giving him a kidney, using shit like they owed him for his existence and he has a duty to family. I *LOVE* how OP turns their own words back on them, asking where their duty was when they kicked him out and always took Sebastian's side over his and made him feel like shit. Truthfully, I'd have done the same thing. I'd have looked Sebastian dead in the eyes and said "I may be a match, but I'm not going to do anything for you. After all you did for me...why should I help you?" and then look at the parents and asked "Also what have you done for me? You kicked me out of the house just for being gay, you sided with him constantly and made my life hell. And you have the audacity to think I owe you anything for just existing. I never asked to be born with you scumbags as my parents. I may be your flesh and blood....but you are not my parents, and this waste of organs laying there is not my brother. You're all dead to me!" and walked out, flipping them off on the way home.
OP, you did NOTHING wrong there. This was overdue revenge and you should feel good about it

Honestly, if the Story is even Remotely True (so many "victims" nowadays, it almost feels like it's Trendy...kinda like being Trans/Pro-Trans (I don't really care either way...I'm not "Pro-Trans" or "Anti-Trans", I like the "Live and let Live" Doctrine, so as long as I'm not asked to do things or forced to pander to anyone of a Specific "Category" (Gender/Race/Sex, etc...) or "Community" I couldn't care less!).
But there's not 1 Day (probably not even 1 Hour) where we don't here about Racism this, Sexism That and that everyone is either Transphobic or are Completely in Love with Trans People...Both Extremes...Which only lead to Division because people believe the News and Only Hear about the Bad Things and None of the Good Things....
***And if the story is true and that's how Sebastian was actually Raised, then No Wonder he acted like that! He was Praised for it All the time since a Young Age!
His Parents are the Real Cause of His Suffering since they made the Twin basically become a Monster through "Teaching"...It's not himself that chose this, he was just never told that any of those things are Ok (though to be honest, everyone of my Friends who had Older Brothers were Fighting and getting Roughed Up, so I have a Hard Time understanding why you had Hatred towards your BROTHER...As in, I don't understand why you would blame the Brother when it's the Parents that are really at fault and they are also most likely the reason you hated your brother so much, because you were Jealous of all the attention and Love (though it doesn't sound like it's the case for Love...but maybe OP thought they did...but they were probably Narcissists or at the very least "Cluster B Personality Disorders" which creates immense problems for interpersonal (Family) communication and trauma/abuse is not at all uncommon...).
I'm well aware people are gonna hate on this comment because I said what everyone is thinking out loud...
Think of it the same way you think about the Jehovah's Witnesses & Mormons Door-to-Door Harassment...I have Zero issues with their Religion...getting woken up at 9am on the Weekend by them is Completely Different...
I also don't care what Orientation people are, but if they are annoying me when I've clearly said No, that could turn bad if they keep at it...
I really don't like Discrimination, but I hate those who will let someone Walk All Over them because that person is a Different Race/Sex/Gender than you and you "aren't supposed to react" or "can't get mad" or whatever that person thinks would be inappropriate...(It's not Hard...Put the same situation as if the person was a Clone of yourself! If you'd Punch Your Clone, then it's your Natural reaction, not being Racist/Sexist/Anti-LGBTQ, etc...)

My brothers were the exact same way. My brother died In May if this year. People looked at me like I was a fucking monster because I showed no emotion that he was gone. If he wanted to be a brother I could shed a tear for, he should have started about 38 years ago. My mother also passed a month before him and had the same emotional lacking. I gave up on any of them years ago. I have the only people in my life that matter to me. My understanding, lovely wife and my 3 awesome children. I turned out fine without them and often wonder if we would have been close, would my life have been so different that I wouldn’t have what I do now? Probably not. I would probably be laying fave down in a gutter somewhere dead. Don’t relish on the past. You can’t change it, so just keep moving forward. They abused you, mentally and physically. Those memories are better left in the past. Congrats on your choice and just remember this. People that have never been in the same situation can never understand what it’s like. I looked at my brother and mother like they were just strangers walking down the street. I always said that I could care less if they died tomorrow, and I was wrong. My brother's dad (my step father) was abusive to us, our mom, and an alcoholic. Ended up voiding his subscription to life, and my brother was so happy that he was on cloud 9 for days.
Me personally? Was like "Meh, good for him for learning how to swing from a rafters. But - 20 points for forgetting that it wasn't Halloween. So he was making himself a prop out of season."
      Our mom?
Tried to kill me, for asking to call us by our preferred name. Was assaulted by her, called a "lazy, ungrateful, crazy motherfucker", and when we tried to leave the car. Stepped on the pedal, and if we would've been even a second slower, we could've died as our feet hit the pavement (this happened a year ago).
Ever since then. She's been ignoring that she did that. And trying to be a part of our lives, even though we've told her to fuck off and never talk to us again. (And this is just one instance in a long line, of evil BS she's done to us over the years.)
And when she dies. We'll be relieved, but also probably past the point of giving a fuck.

To top it all of on the bully brother, the fact that once he realized that the brother wont donate his kidney to him, he knew he was going to die. So theoretically, if they knew all the stuff the OP did, then it’s also on all those mutual friends to tell the thief’s wife as well. Why couldn’t any of them have spilled the beans instead of OP? Why couldn’t all of them had an intervention with her? And if your argument is that “they didn’t know,” then why didn’t OP share this with them? Sure, they would call out OP for not sharing it sooner, but don’t they have a right to know what kind of “friend” they supposedly had? I’d never want a friend like that personally.

I bet the parents probably wanted a star athlete to come out of the family to live their narcissistic fantasies thru, and OP wasn't that, so they preferred his brother.

As someone who had an abusive brother, I feel for OP. I cut all contact from my brother a couple years ago (and mother, who enabled him and was abusive herself) because talking to him was too painful for me, keeping in contact with my biological family constantly triggered my cPTSD & PTSD. So I cut contact, and my life became much more stable!
He had a kid this year and he reached out via my adoptive sister, so I congratulated him on fatherhood. It took all of 2 fucking days for him to return to his usual behaviour, which was telling me how to behave, gaslighting, bullying, laughing at my for fighting against homophobia and claiming that I’m a “bully” for standing against homophobia (I’m literally bisexual), and then tried to weaponise my disabilities against me, which he constantly did when I did have contact with him. He was the golden child so he got away with treating me like that when growing up. As an adult I wasn’t gunna accept any of that and told him. According to him, an uneducated man with no medical knowledge, I’ve “never to his knowledge” been diagnosed with cPTSD and PTSD... I got diagnosed in 2016, which he was told in 2016... he then changed this to claiming I “flaunt” my disabilities, where in his opinion, talking about invisible disabilities and living with them online to normalise and destigmatise mental health and any invisible disability (because I’m 90% bedridden with nerve damage) is somehow “flaunting” being disabled as opposed to “talking about disabilities that affect my every day life, so of course I’m going to talk about these things you fucking plank”.
So I cut contact. I don’t get nuclear revenge, sadly, but should anything ever happen, there are hospital reports from my teenage years when I lived at home from the times he physically attacked me, where he knocked me out and gave me concussions. So should anything happen there’s literal evidence that’s over a decade old, in my medical records, naming him as the cause to bruising around my neck, head and face, and concussions suffered.
It fucking sucks coming from such cancerous families, but the family we choose ends up being a stronger bond. Just because I’m blood related to my biological brother and biological mother doesn’t make them my family, your family doesn’t sit idly by as you get abused and ignores it, gaslights you, blames you for getting physically attacked by your own brother, mocks you and tries to control you for years as an adult because you dared to leave and escape. So I’m blood related, but they’re not my family. My brother really solidified that this year with how he behaved towards me despite having no contact with me for years, you’d think he’d have learned. But he didn’t.

@@kitdoesstuff_official I’m okay now, thank you! I’m a lot more mentally stable, still struggle with PTSD but I live with it for the most part, trigger dates being the worst. Because I’m from Scotland we have the NHS so I have a wonderful medical team for my cPTSD & PTSD and nerve damage, I’m medicated, have received PTSD specific therapy, and a doctor I’ve been seeing for over a decade now and really knows me. This has all massively helped, and I’m extremely grateful to the NHS because I dunno what I’d do without it!
My adoptive family is my childhood best friends family who unofficially took me in as their 4th child, and to me they’re my family, they’re the people who showered me with love and support, and they’re the people I’d do anything for!
Revenge wise there are possibilities because I’ve fantastic documented messages from my brother being abusive about my disabilities, unsure what I can do with them, but I can play the waiting game before sending them off wherever they need to go? I wouldn’t do it this year because he’d know it was me and would lie... but he is also extremely stupid and arrogant and seems to think he can tell people I’m lying. “For [brother] friends who are stalking me, here are documented posts I’ve made previously with his lengthy abuse against me. He isn’t innocent”
One of his idiot friends reacted to my post where I spoke about the entire 2 days of contact and him trying to weaponise my disabilities. It would appear neither my brother or his friends have a singular fucking brain cell. Like if you’re gunna stalk then don’t get caught!

Revenge 1: OP managed to help the girlfriend dodge a missile. That much insecurity is dangerous to everyone else.
Oh, and last bit is satisfying, minus the old man having to deal with those two leeches for the rest of his life.
Revenge 2: You know what they say, "What goes around, comes around" If Sebastian wanted his life saved, he shouldn’t have done all that harm to OP and Sister. The parents were also punished since they clearly were playing favorites and shoving OP away. Oh, and it appears that all of the relatives involved minus Sister appear to be toxic. F them!
Revenge 3: If he didn’t want his wife to know how much of a terrible person he was, he shouldn’t have stolen OP's medical marijuana and deny it.

To the second story…it is possible that one of them could have been a match but been too entitled to donate. The first person told that they’re a match is the donor in private and they get to choose whether they want that info known or not…if not then they can just say “sorry…not a match” so we don’t even know if any of them were telling the truth.
Why would the parents do this if it means their “favorite” son would die? Again…entitled. Also as a way to force the OP into this situation, where they know he’d be a guaranteed match, because twins.

Even if the brother were nice, that still wouldn't mean OP owed him a kidney. OP would have probably at least considered it, but dialysis would have still been a thing if he chose not to. Hell, a nice brother probably would have accepted it if he turned him down. "I'm sorry, I don't think I can go through with it." "I understand... You got an awesome husband and it'd suck if you had to leave him behind." "Is there something else I can do?" "We could probably just spend some time together while we can. I'll hang in there." "No problem." That probably would have been how it went down if the brother actually cared. But then again, if he didn't prioritize his own comfort by abusing drugs, he wouldn't even be in that situation.
