Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on whether we should republish or unpublish our children's book helpful. Be sure to find me over on Instagram & TikTok, so we can connect there as well!
Thank you for this informational video Eevi! I am actually working towards re-publishing my very first book for it's five year anniversary next year, so this is extremely helpful!
Although I have no plans to write another book, I'm so glad I still tune in to your generous expert advice. I had resigned myself to the idea that I'd have to be satisfied with the fact that my book, SAMANTHA JEAN'S RAINBOW DREAM - A Young Foster Girl's Adventure into the Colorful World of Fruits & Vegetables was just a passion project, a labor of love, inspired by and dedicated to Samantha. However, I haven't been able to let go of my disappointment that I wasn't able to help families easily add more nutritious food to their diets in a fun way. That was one of my reasons for writing Samantha's story. After listening to this week's video, I realize there just might be a way for me to add a few pages to demonstrate how to use my 3 SIMPLE TOOLS to easily add more nutrient-dense foods to your family's diet - one fruit & veggie at a time! Thank you Eevi for all you do! Appreciatively, AJ (aka Ali)
MnIt's very interesting but I know that my first book, "The world of all things lost needs to be revised not because of negative reviews but because it was poorly structured and needs to be revised. A second edition, I believe is necessary. When I wrote it, I was inexperienced and didn't know the principals of writing that should be adhered to, so rather than leave it as it is, when I get the chance, I will be working on a new edition which will include illustrations ( it's a middle grade book) and a change in the storyline for 😊 some parts of it. It's true that sometimes our first book is not the best and we would want it to be improved. The second half is fine with a few changes but the first half needs some drastic changes. A second edition is badly needed.
@@EeviJones I appreciate you as well. I recently purchased your book “How To Self - Publish a Children’s Book” thank you for living out your dreams, learning from your journey and sharing your knowledge and experiences with all of us. Be well my friend. Michael #TOGM
I'm happy to hear you enjoy the videos! The answer would depend on the option you are choosing. If you are simply uploading an updated updated file to your already existing book, then the publication date will remain the same. If, however, you are publishing a new edition of your book (new ISBN), then the new edition would show the date you are publishing the new edition. I so hope this helps.
EEVI< what if my book was published with a company that does not allow advertising from a marketing company. Can I yake my book from that publisher and republish it myself?

Hello Eevi, great content. I have a question - will republishing a book change the publication date? Thank you!

Hi Judith! That would entirely depend on your contract with that publisher. So I would reach out and ask them.
