I was surprised in how good you could feel the difference in power and torque. This is also by far the best power mod you can do on these engines. All there is left to do now is get a better exhaust and install a chip, this will have to wait until later as I have other plans at the moment.

Great video like the content , quick question why do you use 10w60 ?
It can handle the heat a lot better, which is what I need for hard track driving. The only downside is that it takes longer to warm up so it's good for your engine to drive small distances

Hi I have M52b28 on my E38 728, planning to get M50 mani mod, is that suitable for daily drive since you said it has less torque on low rmp ? I also did M54B30 intake camshaft upgraded
I would recommend a remap if you do the intake swap, this way you will keep the low end torque

Thank you! I use a Canon 800D for most of the filming and a GoPro Hero 7 Black for the action parts

Im thinking to buy a m50 manifold... arround 300€....
U Feel less power in low rpm?
Arround 2000 to 4500 this manifold drops less troque
Yes less torque in low rpm, but you can fix that with a chip. But on higher RPS's its faster
thinking about doing this on my 530i with the m54 i was told i can gain 20-30 hp and not loss any low end because the vanos will be tuned
Are you also going to do S52 / Schrick cams?
Not planning on any engine mods for now
What headlights are those? Remind me of the euro spec w123 diesels, looks great.

I actually installed them like they came, didn't change anything.

I watched some dyno tests of M50 manifold swap on youtube, it should gain more 20 hp power. Did you
get any chip tune for it?
I don’t have a chip for it yet, I’m sure that will gain some hp as well

I'm planning on doing an M3 exhaust aswell. Also without cats, so it should make some more power then
I had one of these with the m50 inlet, full e36 m3 exhaust , cda ''carbon'' airbox and a remap at ppE making 241hp 310nm, went well for what it was and sounded so sweet.

I can imagine, don’t need a 3,2 at this point, focusing more on making it handle good and getting a lot of track time
Bit of a no brainer 3.2 with bigger cams vs 2.5 with 228° cams... terrible comparison

Not the crank, pistons, rods, just cams.
