The tunes are played by the 2nd South Carolina String Band from their CD "In High Cotton" from 2002. In order they are Cripple Creek, Old Joe Clark, The Girl I Left Behind Me, Old Joe Clark (again), Cripple Creek (again), Old Joe Clark (again), The Girl I Left Behind Me (again), and Old Joe Clark.
Is this the abe lincoln in Springfield Illinois? Looks like the entrance for the mary todd dress exhibit in the back. This virginia boy might have had to show you the reel for real if i was there lol. When i did southern civil war reenacting i the late 80s early 90s we would have dances after all the spectators left. Some of the funnest parties of my young life.
Everyone should be an athlete. No excuses. Handicapped oK, but every whole person should be an athlete first, and their job second. They'r not doin too badly for their ages.
Working a mid 1800's US military site, we had a period actor come out and hold a dance for the field school. This dance was the so much fun to do.
Learned this in middle school, most awkward days of my life holding a boy's sweaty hands.

This IS the Eightsome Reel, a dance from Scotland. We dance it in every ceileigh in Scotland!
Such a top notch group! Thank you for helping me enjoy these great times!
This is beautiful and so well choreographed.
What a nice tune! It would have been nice to live in the 1700's/1800's I'll bet.

@Anachel Loughney This is located in Springfield at the Lincoln Museum. We are going to learn how to do it soon!! :)
This is so funny and nice dance! I practised this first time today, and we will dance this in our prom c: Music will be little bit different
There's definitely better music that could be used.
I had to learn this in school. It was pretty fun, but it was in middle school, so it was also awkward lol
Looks like the "Haymaker's jig"...
I did this at my school. It's a cool dance.
It's pretty lively; not sure what you mean about it being slow, but most people who aren't athletes wouldn't be able to move any faster than this!
