Still liking your F-150 ? I bought a 13 5.0 about a year ago to take my 90 off the road for a little while. Good truck with decent fuel economy. Had to replace the Y fitting on the cooling system because it was leaking. It’s so common I think Ford should have recalled it lol. Good video.

For a while we couldn't even get those upper radiator hoses because they were on backorder! Now aftermarket ones are available so it's a bit easier to get something.
I like this little pickup just fine, but it's getting awfully rusty and isn't really as capable as I would like since it is only a v6 RWD model

@@Krankie_V It was a much easier job than I expected. Took about an hour and a half to get it all finished. This is the first 4x4 truck I’ve ever owned and it’s been very nice off-road but I’ve yet to get to try it in snow.

@@TheDeafMechanic I work as a mechanic and I couldn't even tell you how many of those hoses I've replaced haha... One of our accounts is a water department with a lot of 5.0 F-150s

I'm glad none of the studs broke flush. it doesn't look too easy to get in there

That would have been awful. Nobody wants to drill a cylinder head!

I put those same NGK TR55GP in my grand marquis. I pulled the original plugs out at 116K miles. Still running fine but they were very worn out! luckily they all came out easy.

Oh yeah you gotta watch it with some of those 4.6 modular engines. Some of them only have a couple threads for the spark plug and they strip out easily. This truck went 158k on the original plugs and now has 206k. I pretty much only changed them because they were so rusty. That and I had got them pretty hot while warming up the manifold nuts on bank 1. I'd rather replace them now than to find out later that I cracked one.

@@Krankie_V Yeah mine is one of the engines with only a few sparkplug threads. Never blown one out and the threads seem nice and smooth. Not overly worried about it at this point. I've noticed a red/maroon grand marquis in some of your videos, what year is it?

@@MattsRageFitGarage that red grand marquis is a '98. Still in pretty good shape. The car came from Virginia. My parents have had that car since 2011ish

@@Krankie_V Mine's a 99. Picked it up off a car lot that my neighbor does wholesale work for. About as spotless as it gets for an old car. The underside of the car isn't even dirty. Some old guy had it for like 16 years, must have been an oil change freak because looking through the oil fill cap it's bright and shiny like brand new. I wish he would have changed the coolant a couple times though, that was nasty.

@@MattsRageFitGarage you guys have the best cars out your way. You don't really get rust or sun damage. It's perfect lol!
I've been looking on and off for a first gen Ford escort GT (not seriously ready to buy one) and some really freaking clean cars keep coming up for sale in Washington state.
