I feel like the c3s are using the announcements a lot more. Besides the crew on train #2703. What other crews know how to work the announcements.

How does the crew turn on the auto announcements. Do they have to like press a button to get them to work.

I have heard it is very easy to set up, but it's kind of annoying to use because they have to play each announcement manually.

Actually it's been set up to update via GPS finally.

Do you think trains #655 and train #668 on the port Jefferson branch always have working announcements.

Depends if the ASI works or not. And don't forget there's no GPS so they must be run manually

I really wish the c3 trains used the announcements more often. I was on a train and when it entered Jamaica I saw a patchogue train with the red signs on. I never know where the diesels are going because the announcements do not usually work. Do they used to always work. When did they stop working and start back up more often.

They have to be operated manually. I know a few Engineers and Conductors that know how to do it. It's very easy.

Does train #2703 always have automated announcements working just like train #655 and #668 does. Also have you ever been on train #2703 or just a particular c3 train with automated announcements working.

I know the engineer running this. He programs it as long as it works correctly. Sometimes it does work sometimes it doesn't
