This is fucking amazing work! This my good sir is a marvelous approach and should be shown to every machinist who needs covers... This is what, 40 minutes at max with proper equipment and cost you less in material than a decent endmill would... If i ever get to upload my own stuff and have any following, be sure that i will credit you for this design for it is brilliant... For this vid alone you should have a fucking million subscribers... One of those cost around a thousand dollars to buy... Fuck-a-me but you just reinvented the wheel my friend...
I wonder if you could lay teflon tape across each section, and align the edge of each adjacent section over the teflon tape and then put silicone along the edge of each section and onto some of the teflon tape and then when it cures, remove the teflon tape and you're left with a silicone wiper on each of the sections
Those turned out really well. I'm currently trying to make some covers on my machine so it is more like a gantry router style.

Really nice work, this has filled in a lot of blanks for me as I build my way covers. Thanks for the great vid and description
Nice work. Could you tell me what kind of "bearing" you have used in your scissor? What can I use to keep it stable over a long time?
