    Good video. I'd like to see a test with the standard S22 and the fps indicator on UA-cam, Netflix, HBO GO and when nothing on display is moving to check if they optimize display refresh rate and what is the real minimum refresh rate. You can find that option it in the developer settings.

    Nice video! Can you test the screen refresh rate of the S22 and S22+? I saw on twitter that samsung changed the minimum frequency from 10hz to 48hz.

    • @Flash363
      @Flash363 2 роки тому +5

      If you go into any store that has them on display you can test them out yourself. That's exactly what I did at best buy, I went into Dev settings and enabled show refresh rate and the lowest i saw that it went was 24hz. I didn't see it drop below that but I also didn't test it out in every app. 24hz is still pretty low and should save plenty of battery since it switches very fast after interacting with the screen.

    I want to ask you a question, since Samsung ditched the 3D ToF sensor for the rear camera, the question is how important is the 3D ToF sensor for photographic results?
    And is it a good idea for Samsung to ditch that sensor?, Even though the iPhone has a lidar sensor, but I'm happy because there is still a microphone beside the rear camera.

    • @jamrug3472
      @jamrug3472 Рік тому

      Today the 3D ToF sensor has no sense at all, because basically it's just a very low quality camera (2 mpix or even less). We already have another much much better cameras on the back of the phone: the ultrawide and telephoto, that will help the main sensor even better than very cheap sensor dedicated only for this. Lidar is another story, it's just faster than using other cameras to calculate the distance, that's why it's still on the back of the iPhone.
      TLDR: there are better options and ToF sensor are typical for cheap phones just to bump up the numer of camera modules to appear to be more premium.

    • @clonkex
      @clonkex 10 місяців тому

      @@jamrug3472 A ToF sensor is not just a small camera. It's a laser emitter and sensor, so basically a very limited lidar.

      Just use a hair dryer and evenly apply heat so its hot to the touch. You don't need to do it for too long, since you can always apply more heat while your working you're way prying the back off. You can also use a suction cup tool to help you lift up on one corner or side to get a pry tool in.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому +5

      well people replacing a screen are not replacing a working screen, I gave the score based on the ease of doing a replacement screen repair. Since you can just pry the screen off from the front without having to take the rest of the phone apart, it saves time and is easier to do. Also a broken screen you don't care about damaging it more so you don't really need to be careful with it and can just pry the thing off even if it breaks or damages more etc. Hope this explains it.

    If I remove the sticker on the back case of my phone, does it become a transparent back case?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  14 днів тому

      Yes, but it might be a frosted glass due to the matte texture so it will be semi transparent if I'm not mistaken.

    when I put it back together again leave it as it was mobile the camera stopped working it says camera failed
    I just had to reboot it to safe mode and then start it normally, but it is strange that it was not fixed with hard reset and with safe mode if it was fixed, it is surprising.

    • @lifewithcats4907
      @lifewithcats4907 2 роки тому +3

      Would be the plus, because of the Vapour chamber. No vapour chamber cooling in S22.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому +2

      You're welcome. Yes as the other comment mentions, the S22 plus would be better since it has the additional vapor chamber.

    Hi Sir, how to replace front camera ?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Рік тому +1

      after you take apart the phone and have access to it, it has some glue around the camera holding it in place. You would need to use a sharp razor blade or knife to cut the glue and pull out the camera.

    • @zeljkoadzic1692

      I used a plate that heated the entire chassis to 70°C and removed the camera without problems.@@PBKreviews

      I'm not sure, there is a chance the connectors won't be exactly the same so it wont connect to the board.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому

      Yup it's soldered onto the sub board but the sub board is replaceable so there should be no problems. As long as its not soldered onto the main motherboard since they don't sell replacement motherboards. :)
