    I have used the green Garnier miscelar water every day for a month after wahsing my face and I didn't know it had to be rinsed off. But something I can say it's that it traps every lint left my cloths and towels, facial hair or extra dirt on my skin before applying my serums, sunscreen or makeup. And it does work wonders for me so I'm going to continue using it that way.

    I love the Garnier Micellar Water Original Formula! I use it several times per week.
    One trick that I like to use which I saw in a video is after saturating the cotton pad with the micellar water, blow on one side of the cotton pad until it foams up. Then wipe as usual. I swear it makes the product work much more effectively!

      Yes, it's an excellent product! :)
      Yeah, I saw that it can bubble up a bit when using a cotton pad. Thank you for the tip🥰

      I am unsure if anything really helps, maybe a routine with retinol in low strength, but since it is mainly caused by genetics, food, or lack of sleep, that would be the first to take into consideration.

      Try coffee it helped me! First take half cup coffee (a small cup) then put little of water in the cup so I can be watery and easy managed and put it under your eyes! The longest it stays under your eyes it’s the best. I should recommend maybe 2-3 hours each day pfor a week then you’re gonna see difference! If you don’t have so much time, then try at least to do it for 30 min every day for 2 weeks or more weeks! Another thing to do if one day you don’t have time to do the coffee one then take some ice and anoint it around your eyes. Coffee helped me more!

    Thanks for explaining but i want to know that after cleansing our face with micellar water when we wash our face it's necessary to rinse off with water simply or we can use facewash or any face soap?

      Hey! :) Well, you could double cleanse, yes. However, depending on what you are trying to remove from the skin, rinsing the micellar water off with water can be enough! :)

      If you can remove your sunscreen with your regular cleanser, then there is no need to double cleanse. However, if that isn't the case, use an oil, balm or micellar water as your first cleanse before using your regular cleanser.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  4 місяці тому

      It depends on the mineral sunscreen. Sunscreens like The Ordinary's offering do not come off that great when just using micellar water. However, something like Good Molecules Sheer Mineral SPF probably works. I'm not a fan of oil cleansers either; I prefer balm cleansers like The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser or Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm.

    If people need a video for this we need more help in education than thought 😂

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  Рік тому +5

      I am confident that we need more help in education. Cleansing videos are the most watched on my channel, and most comments I get are related to washing the face. So it is a huge problem; just look at all the nonsense available in skincare, which is also the case in most other niches.
      The confusing part is that they see people online misusing the product, now if that person has a lot of influence, they copy it, end up doing it the wrong way, and as a result the skin often gets irritated. Or they do not speak the language and do not understand what's written on the bottle, so they cannot follow the directions, are visual learners, or have no education because it was unavailable. So, all in all yes, we do need a lot more education 🙂

    Heyy!! You recommended me some face products and you helped me a lot. I have been using these products for months and my face has improved. But, I have a question, I’m 15 years old and can I use ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG? I heard it’s good for the eyes, so since I have lines under my eyes, can I add it to my skin care routine?
    My current routine:
    AM
    CeraVe celanser
    Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2%
    PM
    CeraVe cleanser
    Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
    Ordinary Retinol 0,2% (every two days)
    Thank you :)

      Hey! :)
      I'm happy to hear that you enjoy your current routine! :)
      Are you just referring to fine lines under the eyes? If so, I'm not sure if you can really do something about it other than using a Retinol eye cream or your low-strength Retinol serum on the eye contour. I wouldn't use the Caffeine Solution for such a concern :)

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  Рік тому

      It depends on the mineral filter used and its concentration. Generally, from my experience, they are removed well with a regular cleanser. Just the heavy mineral zinc oxide sunscreens are difficult to remove, and you may need to use an oil or cleansing balm.

    Hello, I'm a male with combination skin type
    Before using micellar water this was my routine
    AM: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel moisturizer, Hybrid spf 55 Sunscreen (Photostable Gold)
    PM: wash my face two times with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.
    Now after buying Bioderma Micellar Water (pink one),
    PM: pour some drops of Micellar water on a reusable Bamboo cotton pad and wipe it on my face and eyes, then rinse my face with water, then wash my face with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.
    I did this for 2 days, I noticed some kind of small acne type (or you can call it a rash) just below my eyes(under the eyes).
    Now my guess is either micellar water is stinging my eyes or the cotton pad is causing that reaction.
    So from tonight, I transferred some micellar water into a small spray bottle, and sprayed it on my face and neck, then wiped it using my clean fingertips for about 1 minute. Then I rinsed my face with water, followed by CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.
    Should I continue doing this or is there something wrong with my routine. What if I get irritated skin under my eyes? What do I then?
    Kindly please advice.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  11 місяців тому

      Hey! 😊
      How did your new technique work? Was it effective in breaking down your sunscreen and/or makeup you may have worn? If so, and no sensitivities happened, you can continue doing this. However, sometimes Micellar Water can irritate the eyes (I'm not sure why). When I use micellar water too often, my eyes start to burn. That's why I personally prefer to use a balm cleanser such as from Beauty of Joseon or Geek & Gorgeous, and/or I just simply use a makeup-removing washcloth (the microfiber ones which are reusable and very soft).
