They denied me 2 months ago because supposedly it wasn’t enough medical evidence. Like how much more information do you need ?? Remind you, I’ve been out of work since July 22,2024. I’m currently pregnant & high risk with high blood pressure & anemia & was pulled out of work by my OB because I do CNA so I’m not able to lift patients & run around for 8 hours. It was so frustrating because I submitted all my paperwork on time & everything & was even able to receive CT paid leave while waiting. The case worker that was assigned was awful I never was able to even get in contact with her it would always go straight to voicemail! They are the worse.
Hi thanks for your channel, so MET approved my case on January but they only pay the minimum of 100 dollars because I was getting state disability in california wich end on may, so now they supposed to pay me they are looking into my doctors so they can denied me, I have 4 dislocated disk with one sitting on my nerve, stenosis and arthritis had both knees surgery and shoulder due to arthritis, I take nerve, and pain med every 8 hours and anti inflammatory and muscles relaxers every day, most of them make me sleepy, to do something I have to really plan so I can drive and they are trying to denied me. By the way they only qualified me for 24 months for muscoletal.
I used to work for MetLife disability division 20 years ago, but what I do know is I was a mail teck and everything in terms of incoming mail was my job to distribute accordingly. But sadly, files have been either missing or stored on someone else's desk. I found the files eventually and still I got cursed out and still got pinked- slipped. Gee, wonder why I've been back in hospitality because it's better people than the ones that get eye strain and dyslexia (as I am as well) do not trust them. The list goes on.
I'm low vision blind and MetLife cancelled my LTD after offering me a lump sum that was not enough considering my age and condition. I received a denial for a condition that is permanent! How is it that documents were completed giving MetLife authorization to contact my doctor and because a caseworker doesn't make the contact with my doctor some how a blind man is responsible for the disconnect? It's been under appeal since Novy of last year with no end in sight....
I would agree with you. Not to mention, many policies have what are known as presumptive disability provisions that will automatically approve benefits due to certain conditions- with loss of vision being one of them. If the claim has been in appeal since November they appear to be well outside the allotted time afforded by the law to make a decision. Please feel free to contact our office if you would like to discuss your claim in greater detail.
