F0 is shorthand for referring to the pod formed on the mother plant from the initial cross pollination event. Filial generation is used to classify successive generations of the hybrid. You'll often see F1 referring to the first generation grown for the hybrid, followed by F2, F3, F4 etc. F0 (F zero) is not really an official term afaik, but often used as a shorthand reference.
