Simply Woodworking - Pigeon vs Bird Feeder

It looks like my bird feeder (last week's video) is pigeon proof. And here IS the proof, with one poor pigeon (I named him Reg) trying and failing to get at the precious seed. Just a little bit of fun, and only six pigeons were hurt in the making of this video. #RSPB #Birdproofbirdfeederachieved

This is genius. I have been looking for just such a design. The steep angle of the roof precludes sufficient grip. The small height of the opening. What was the roofing exterior. Slate?

@@SimplyWoodworking Thank You. I am formulting my design from bits of scrap wood as I type. Need to get a bit of Felt or Slate to nap to shape. Easier said than done no doubt . But your idea has inspired me. Thanks.
