Yep! On a coastline with a great deal of sunshine, no less! This was my first Ys game and I absolutely loved it. The series predates FF/DQ for those that may not be aware; often overlooked! Other good tracks I have handy on phone (and know the title of): A Waterdrop in the Dark, A Footprint in the Wet Sand, You'll See Out the End of the Tales.

I have no musical know-how but I thought you'd like it since it sounded quite "drummery" to me and it's just an energetic blast of a track to hear, especially considering it's the first music you hear once you start your adventure ingame. Its so funny you mention Sonic, Ys is my favorite series of all time and in this case I completely agree, it always reminded me of sonic adventure 1, the coastline level. Hope you checkout more of the series in the future, they have some really awesome bangers.

Ys is a very long lasting rpg series like final fantasy tales and co though I hated what thez did with the story,ending for part 8 still a great ost with The Sibylline Road one of mz alltime favorites mfg Olli
