The first video in a very long time that I've watched from start to finish. Your presentation was easy to listen to and well informed, and outstanding!
I got the 2023 Tiger 900 Rally Pro also. I've added...just a TON of mods and accessories and did literally a year or more, of research on all of them. From skid plates, to top boxes to panniers, to grip puppies to upper and lower crash bars, to tires to fork protectors to phone mounts to Pivot Pegz to mirrors and on and on LOL. I LOVE the bike.
I like the heat coming off the radiators. I stick my hands in there when it is cold and rainy and it dries them out. And also can confirm the new upper guards are much better than the old ones. Put a hole in my radiator and just received the replacement from a salvage lot int he UK. There were none available in the US - new or used.Display setting 4 is my favorite. Lol. Great Moto! Love riding it.
To each their own setup that they “like” but majority bar risers change geometry of rider input. These bike come factory with an under 25 degree rake. Which us why factory tires are wayyy more street oriented. If you riding off-road changing the preload settings will dramatically improve feel. Fyi, it is about 100 1/4 turns to get max preload on front.
I've had a GT Pro for about two months. After riding Harleys for over 30 years, getting used to this motorcycle took a while. I use mine as a touring bike, as I have no desire to take it off road. It just eats up the miles with comfort, power and agility. Every motorcycle is a compromise, but the only thing I can find fault with is the goofy screens on the TFT. I still can't find one that I'm happy with, but that, along with having to let the dealer reset the service light, are the only complaints. I considered a BMW 850 GS before I bought the Tiger. I really like the display they use, and wish Triumph had gone that route--especially with the tach. Great job on the video. Take care, and ride safe.
is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? this is better than ktm 890 for my purpose ? I only drive on public roads/highways... it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use.
@@petroosabdollahian1648 I would think it would be a great bike for commuting. It’s certainly an excellent touring motorcycle, in my opinion. The KTM is geared more toward off road riding, I believe, so if you’re plan is to stick to paved roads I don’t think you’d be disappointed with the Tiger.
Hi, for changing rider mode on the fly, on my GT Pro, all I have to do is select the desired mode and then releasing the trottle & pulling the clutch lever all the way in simultanously, and voilà, you're done!
Great review! As far as the center stand bouncing around just upgrade the spring to a stronger one, I've seen two other you tubers do it and it's an easy fix.👍
I'm pretty sure you can change between the road modes (rain, street, sport) on the fly, but to change into the Rider or offroad modes you have to stop the bike completely and I think they did this as a safety precaution, in case someone accidentally went into offroad mode and locked the rear tire in a bad spot or something. I think it's so dumb. I wish there was an option in the menu where you could check a box that says "I'm not an idiot and I take full responsibility for my riding" and then you could change between all the modes on the fly 😅
I think the vibration comments stem from Tiger 800 owners. The normal firing order triples are like a turbine compared to the 900 motors. As a multiple Triumph triple owner I noticed it but it's not a noticeable until past 7000rpm. I don't notice the engine heat in my local 25°C average year round temperature. Good review on the whole. I love mine. The sound is addictive.
You can start the engine without waiting for animation on screen ends. 5 seconds and You can go. The tires are joke: true. Quickshifter: I still have a problem with changing gear from 1 to 2. Switching off a cruse control on highway should be easier because for now you can only use clutch, brake or close the throttle to turn it off and then the motorcycle brakes quite hard. I open the throttle and slightly brake the same time. This is the only method that keeps me away from hard braking on the highway. And yes. If you turn on cruse control there is no option to hide this icon. Only if you turn off ignition. There should be the turn off button. Like in cars. Changing mode from road to off-road should be easier and faster. Now you can only switch modes while you ride only if abs and traction control does not change (off/on). So you can switch between road, rain, sport. But you can't change from road to off-road. But other then that, I love this bike. And support is amazing. You go to service and You feel like You meet old friends. I'm slowly become a Triumph fun.
Good evening. I am picking up my wife's new Tiger 900 Rally Pro Aragon Edition tomorrow. With this new edition you get the new upper crash bars as standard together with the lower crash bars, and they have also improved them as they now attach to the frame at the same place as your aftermarket crash bars. I myself ride with KTM 1290 SAR (2019). I have also specced it with Barkbusters as the standard hand guards are just glorified wind deflectors. BTW, getting it at the same price as the current model variants.

Best review out there. I'm selling my 2022 Speedmaster because I'm moving to a country with terrible roads, so I need a dual sport ADV. You convinced me to buy the 900 Rally, but maybe not the Pro. Sounds like I can just do my own mods instead of paying premium for theirs. I love my Triumphs, and also own a BMW f800gs. Love it, not a direct comparison, but I think the Triumph is better value. Thanks!
Hi from London, England. Congratulations on an excellent review of the bike. I have the 900 GT Pro and I love mine too. Great review!. Covering many topics. My wife is telling that there two moments of happiness within men's live: when buying a bike and when bike is sold ;-) so I would be grateful for reliability update once honeymoon will end. I have 3 bikes on top of my wish list, Triumph T900RP is one of them. Base on the "first impressions" I would take KTM 890 ADV but due to reliability issues, this one gone. That is why I prefer to see owners reviews rather than "first impressions". BTW, I heard about some engine mod's done by Triumph because of many users complained for vibrations. For 2023 model vibrations are not the case anymore.
I have this bike. The factory seat makes me cry after 30 minutes. Not sure how it's so comfortable to you sir, but I'm happy for ya. $800 later, my aftermarket seat is comfortable up to 90 minutes before the tears come.
Hello mate, great review, just ordered the 900 Aragon, I saw this mention in the manual regarding riding mode change during riding the bike ""Motorcycle in Motion Within 30 seconds of selecting a riding mode the rider must carry out the following simultaneously: ▼ Close the throttle. ▼ Make sure that the brakes are not engaged (allow the motorcycle to coast)."" Great review! I've put 7500 km on a 2023 Rally Pro. Electronics could be better, cruise smoother, range calculation more honest, and the on/off-road mode switch is almost dangerous as it forces to stop suddenly when running into unexpected terrain-in the wrong mode. To compensate for all, the triple is so good. Sad that the Arrow exhaust is no longer available. I have an F 850 GSA, and the Tiger does most things easier, if not better.
The review I have been looking for. Thank you for your honesty! I'm definitly going for a test ride one of these days. Sellling my Panigale for a more comfortable bike, I have to know exactly what I'm getting and be at least as excited to ride it. Tiger 900 seems to be the number one option at the moment...
Nice and complete revieuw, my personal experience is more or less similar, altough... I rode this bike for 7500 Km both on and offroad in the last year. The center stand...you are right. It's what i noticed to. There is an easy solution: .just put an easy release strap to it towards the pillion foodpeg.
Hey, I do agree with all the positive points you've mentioned, riding my own 900 GT pro for almost 10,000KM since 18 months, however I have a bit of a problem with engine vibration above 4500rpm (120kph or 75mph) especially on the right side of the handle bar. not sure it's the nature of a 3cylinder or there is something wrong with my bike. Read online that could be due to valves being too tight. Keen to know if you've experienced the same thing?
Currently thinking of buying Honda Africa Twin 1100 or Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Only two things keeps me away from Tiger. 1st - what about Dealer network in remote areas of the world (South American countries, North African region and similar), there is bigger chance to find Honda dealership. 2nd - crash bars. They mounted directly to engine. You go higher speed, biger impact and you have a hole or big crack in engine. And nobody talks about this issue. Except of these two points, Tiger 900RPro is realy attractive bike... and has more to offer directly from factory than Africa Twin. So I'm still thinking what to buy :( Wait for supercharged Africa Twin in 2024? Dashboard electronics - same issue on all bikes. Just try to use smart phone while you drive, you will end up in "grave", I hope no one will end up there. Electronic suspension - yes it is good. But I had on Yamaha MT-10SP, it is amazing, but if you will crash and damage it, price difference between mechanical suspension and electronic will be 3x higher :( And if you have electronical failure, forget all suspension on ofroad. So only good mechanical suspension on motorbikes, for highways - yes, please use electronic, but not for offroad.
Good one .. Thanks for sharing Honest Experience. I was planning to buy BMW 850 GSA here in India. But felt really heavy even at dry showroom condition. I have been riding RE Interceptor 650 & middle weight bikes, but this one really felt heavy & legs swings far away for me than Tiger. Still bit dicy between BMW, Triumph or Honda..
Don’t usually comment. I’ve got 2100 miles on a 23 Gt 900. The comments here are spot on. It’s a great bike! Gt is slightly different but much the same.
The advanced mode of the indicators means that if you push once then it’s three times indicators and if you push and hold then it’s three times +160 m I think
Thanks for the review. A good and reasonable one 👌🏻 what about the extension of your front wheel mud cover, it seems that you have a longer one than the stock one, right? Would you please share the details? I would like to get one for mine.
Hey! Greetings from Brazil! I've recently bought a T900 Rally Pro and watched your video until the end. It's impressive how easy-going is to understand your point of view on each aspect of the bike. Congrats! There is something I would like to ask you. At that flashback you show the bike going to the ground in a trail, there was a very nice and well fitted tank bag in the bike. What brand and model is that bag? Can you tell where I can find it to buy in the US? Thanks a lot!
Really good review, it’s simple and rich in details, thanks for sharing. Well, I agree wit you about the poor quality of the stands (noises from parts makes me crazy), as well the non senses tires and crash bar, that’s is unacceptable for a premium model. Considering those things plus the fact that a $18k bike doesn’t come with a electronic suspension I’m changing my mind to buy a Tiger 900 Rally Pro and buy a BMW F850 GS instead. Unfortunately I have seen many companies CEO mistakes like those you have been pointing here and that have making companies pay a high cost for the bad decision, look what happens to Target and Budweiser lately. I love many things on Triumph Tiger 900, but what they are taking as a sales and company budget strategy is an offense to me, sadly.
Had my 600 mile service today on my 23 Rally Pro. Def need set bar off set risers (6 ft). Did Barkbusters, Altrider rear rack and oem uppper crash bars (updated stronger mountingNoticed a little lower leg heat the other day but not really a big deal. Live close to you in GA. Meet up?
Have a Cardo system Bluetooth installed on my 900 RP and have never been able to get My Triumph to work properly. Eventually gave up and use my iPhone 13 for everything. Naturally it would be nice to have all those functions on my screen. Any tips or advice?
I’ve got a ‘21 RP900… About 13k mi so far. I’m a little odd sized, 6 foot tall, a 31.5 inch inseam, with loooong arms (think 35” sleeve dress shirt). Waiting to a set of Voit Moto Teknik Risers. Up 30mm, back 25mm. Also put Pivot Pegz in low/rearward setup. Got my seat on the high setting, it’s actually more cushioned in that position, and since I ALWAYS wear boots, it’s not a big deal. I’ve got my sights set on some MABDR in a couple weeks, and SM500 if I can grab a riding companion who’s looking to camp, not credit card tour. I’m In Gatlinburg, if you’re ever in the area, give me a shout, would love to compare thoughts… Oh, stock tires came off immediately, have run two sets of TKC70/Rocks combo. Sketchy front, awesome rear traction but at 6k miles the tires were toast. A friend of mine recommended Trailmax Missions. Just put them on, and so far pleased. RD
Hey RDTN , Geo here. Have a new 23 Tiger RP. 600 mile service today! Thanks for riser shout out. I live in GA and ride a lot in North GA- Into TN. I am likewise a tour camper. Ever want to hook up just notify.
I’ve got a friend who has Tusk’s on his “Vindalu Scooter” (Himalayan) great dig in the dirt and wont break the bank… I’ll be up in New England end of the month… but give me a shout out if ya wanna do lil sm500 moto-campin…
Kewl! When do you think you’ll be there? I’ve been refining a (mostly) dirt road run to Maggie Valley and if the weather’s not too foul, I could swing by there Sat.
I did a test ride on one last week. Really liked it but the heat coming out was way hotter than I cam take I think. 6'2" and my knees are to close and there were on fire lol. Think I'm going to hold out for the new Transalp 750 that coming.
Probably the reason for only one headlight on instead of two is due security reasons. If two lights are on, in pitch dark the bike could be recognized as a car from a far distance. Only one light does not and is better seen as a motorbike.
Hey, thank you for the review. I have a question about the seat height. I dont know how tall you are but I am 6.4". I could see your feet touch down flat foot while sitting on the bike. With my height would I be comfortable enough on the 900 Rally Pro?
hey there, doing much better thank you. As much as I love the 900 rally I won't be getting another. I did get a 1200 Scrambler and will more than likely be getting a 24' Africa twin
What is your handguards? Anyways, i just got a tiger 850 as my first street bike. I’m a 20 year vet of dirt ktm riding, before that was jap bikes. Never wanted to ride street until now. After getting used to riding in traffic and adjusting i want more power. So been looking at the mt-09 and bikes like that. Got an option for a new rally pro but its heavier than my 850 but has 10 more hp. Still not sure it has the power I’m looking for. BUT..the tiger platform is soooo comfortable and fits me well. My 850 is a dream to ride. So I’m looking into the gt or rally. Curious what their fueling maps are like vs my 850. I have put a dnk map on and it did open second up but still not a great wheelie machine. And are you sure you cant go between modes riding? My 850 will let you toggle through rain or street on the fly. It has a mode button. Thanks for the vid..
Ride mode can be changed on the fly by shutting off the throttle after selection, EXCEPT OFF ROAD mode which is really annoying! I don't get the center stand rattle!
Very interesting review. I currently own the Norden 901 and it's a great bike but it just doesn't have the striking looks of the Tiger Rally Pro. I am curious how it handles off road and does it have 21/18" wheels? If anyone here has ridden the Norden and has the Rally pro I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
The Tiger has 21/17". I currently have a Norden as well but test rode the Tiger when it came out. Quality of the triumph is miles ahead of the ktm/husky. But got the Norden because of the fuel tank design and weight. Also the engine is more fun albeit not as nice for relaxed riding. As soon as the Norden acts up and I lose trust I'm going to switch to the Tiger.
I have to agree with you there. I would have bought the Nordern, rather the my GTPro if there had been a decent dealer anywhere near me in the UK.@@darrylpaterick3108
Hiya! Hope your really enjoy the bike, I wanna answer a simple thing you say about the headlight :D Yes, the single headlight looks goofy but it's specially made so that you do not blind drivers on the left opposite lane in the mid of night Usually they make it less bright but since the headlights are LEDs, they decided to simply have it off as a normal mode :) Hope that helps understand the beautiful goofiness of our great bike

I thought your video was thorough and balanced. As far as the tires and the suspension I'm wondering if you ever checked out the Harley Davidson Pan America special? It is a couple of grand more than the Triumph but has everything you would want on an adventure bike. Anyways, I do really, really, like your bike. Also, I'm a new subscriber to your channel... Take care.
The one head light is down the the EU motorbike rule that a motor cycle cant have 2 drive lights, because the people who make the rules dont understand
Triumph does really stupid stuff with their GUI interface and how you have to switch ride modes....its a big turn off. I'd rather have the Norden 901. But I'm glad you like the bike...I did demo days with the 900 GT and scrambler 1200. Loved the Tiger over the scrambler and so did my wife.
Im sick of electronics, auto shifters and rider aids. I dont want or need any rider modes, traction control, wheelie control, quick shifters. All I need is control of the throttle and a smooth gear box. I can do all that myself. Do riders not miss and enjoy shifting with no clutch themselves.... Without a quick shifter. Actually having to know what you're doing... How about down shifting in a corner just right and sliding the back end? Nothing like it. I want a new bike where I can literally turn all that garbage OFF. ALL OF IT!!!! I agree on the displays. Get rid of that garbage and just show us the instrument panel.
Easy on that stance. Squeeze that tank with the knees and ass back, prepared to handle sudden stops without becoming a member of the over the bars club. 😉
Good vid. Thanks. I don't get why you Yanks are so keen on cruise control and quick-shifters. Maybe take more entertaining roads in order to get to your destination. The gearbox is super slick on the KTM 890; I don't need any help, and as I'm not racing, I'm not looking for a split-second advantage.
When I see a tittle like this “Honest review”. My first thought is “yeah, because you usually lie in your reviews”………. I immediately loose any interest.

Ur not going there w tht bike
I agree what an awesome motorcycle.
You can select on the fly. Select rider mode, role off the throttle. Done
Great review! Well done sir.
Honda NT1100
Don’t usually comment. I’ve got 2100 miles on a 23 Gt 900. The comments here are spot on. It’s a great bike! Gt is slightly different but much the same.
Thanks for the vid. What rear panier racks are you using?
This would be the perfect bike for exploring NZ where our back roadare very rough and there are miles ofoff the radar gravel road to explore 😊
The advanced mode of the indicators means that if you push once then it’s three times indicators and if you push and hold then it’s three times +160 m I think
Very informative thanks.
Thanks for the review. A good and reasonable one 👌🏻 what about the extension of your front wheel mud cover, it seems that you have a longer one than the stock one, right? Would you please share the details? I would like to get one for mine.
How does this weight sit (top heavy vs. low center of gravity) compared to the standard africa twin or trabsalp 750.
Great review, I’m considering this bike. My biggest question… would you buy it again?
Had my 600 mile service today on my 23 Rally Pro. Def need set bar off set risers (6 ft). Did Barkbusters, Altrider rear rack and oem uppper crash bars (updated stronger mountingNoticed a little lower leg heat the other day but not really a big deal. Live close to you in GA. Meet up?
Heck yeah, I actually went to GA (Douglasville) to pick this bike up, lol

Oh and I have the trailmax mission on my Himalayan and like them a lot
I’ve got a friend who has Tusk’s on his “Vindalu Scooter” (Himalayan) great dig in the dirt and wont break the bank… I’ll be up in New England end of the month… but give me a shout out if ya wanna do lil sm500 moto-campin…
Will be up at two wheels this Sat!
Think I'm going to hold out for the new Transalp 750 that coming.
ah man, I was really excited about the Transalp, but man honda really dropped the ball on that bike.
Probably the reason for only one headlight on instead of two is due security reasons. If two lights are on, in pitch dark the bike could be recognized as a car from a far distance. Only one light does not and is better seen as a motorbike.
That will have to be a very slim car…
Hey, thank you for the review. I have a question about the seat height. I dont know how tall you are but I am 6.4". I could see your feet touch down flat foot while sitting on the bike. With my height would I be comfortable enough on the 900 Rally Pro?
Are you still happy with the tiger? I'm a Honda guy but thinking about the tiger because of the weight difference
How are you doing now after your crash I hope OK I just bought me 900 rally pro just wanted to see if you are going to get another one
hey there, doing much better thank you. As much as I love the 900 rally I won't be getting another. I did get a 1200 Scrambler and will more than likely be getting a 24' Africa twin
You can switch to rain, sport, and Road on the fly.
off-road, off-road Pro. You must stop to adjust.
You talked about the heat coming from the radiator fans. Can you compare it to the Ktm 890 in that regard? Thanks
The 890 is a goddam furnace. Didn't notice any heat during any tiger test rides. 890 catalytic converter throws off an insane amount of heat.
Just put deposit on same bike today.
What manufacturer are the crash bars and skid plates you have installed?
I would be glad to know.
heed
@@adventureundone Thank you so much !!
17:09 yes you can switch rider mode while driving. Just release gas when confirming your choice.
I have tried this many times. Are you sure about this (while in off road, or rider mode)
Or maybe not to offroad I realize
Did it the other day from rain to road but let me try to change to the other modes next time I’m out for a drive
Can’t go for road to off road, you can between rain , road and sport only
What is your handguards?
I think they are Bark Busters.
Looks are obviously subjective, but to me the Norden is a much better looking bike.
I have to agree with you there. I would have bought the Nordern, rather the my GTPro if there had been a decent dealer anywhere near me in the UK.@@darrylpaterick3108
Hiya!
Hope your really enjoy the bike, I wanna answer a simple thing you say about the headlight :D
Yes, the single headlight looks goofy but it's specially made so that you do not blind drivers on the left opposite lane in the mid of night
Usually they make it less bright but since the headlights are LEDs, they decided to simply have it off as a normal mode :)
Hope that helps understand the beautiful goofiness of our great bike
Very cool, I didn't even think of that. But I went off the mountain side and totaled the bike :(
@@adventureundone Oh damn ! I hope you're alright ! Bike is material, what's important is yourself. (even tho it's a pricey material) :(
Nice bike the T 900. However, the BMW 850GS just gives you that little bit more I feel.
Nicely done
# Very useful, sensible and helpful review. , is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? this is better than ktm 890 for my purpose ? I only drive on public roads/highways... it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use.
Any way great video
Be safe
Great bike for commuting. But maybe go with the GT version if only on roads
@@adventureundone Thanks for your response and message, I have made a test ride appointment next week at a Triumph dealer nearby
Take care.
Heat is not better than atas ?
I am atas dct owner and your decision is making me dubious 😂
I am so glad I got rid of DCT
@adventureundone why don't like dct?
The previous 800's just look so much better at the front. Specs and reviews aside, just don't know if I can get past the ugly front end on this one.
Keep an eye out for broken rear spoke’s people
Im sick of electronics, auto shifters and rider aids.
This bike breaks a lot but there is no international youtuber talking about it, only users in forums, why???
I don't really hear many issues with them
Easy on that stance. Squeeze that tank with the knees and ass back, prepared to handle sudden stops without becoming a member of the over the bars club. 😉
Now everyone copies Suzuki's beak from their rally bikes
Good vid.
A full 2.5 minutes of self justification before you actually start talking about the bike?! No thanks🙄
I hope you finally have found peace with your decision.
He will be back to the Africa Twin
