FINALLY - here is the most awaited NEW ZEALAND BORDER UPDATE! The opening date has been announced: get ready to open up to the world, New Zealand! The New Zealand border is fully reopening in April 2022.
For the longest time, people have been asking "when will New Zealand borders open again?" We now have answer to this question with the announcement from the New Zealand Government on 24 November 2021.
The changes to the international border restrictions will mean people can freely travel in and out of New Zealand without having to go through managed isolation. It will be a 3-step approach:
➡From 11.59pm Sunday 16 January 2022, fully vaccinated New Zealanders and other eligible travellers can travel to New Zealand from Australia without staying in MIQ.
➡From 11.59pm Sunday 13 February 2022, fully vaccinated New Zealanders and other eligible travellers can travel to New Zealand from all other countries.
➡From 30 April, 2022, all fully vaccinated individuals will be able to travel to New Zealand, with the re-opening staged over time.
➡All travellers will still need a negative pre-departure test, proof of full vaccination status, a passenger travel declaration about their travel history, a day 0/1 test on arrival, a requirement to self-isolate for 7 days, and a final negative test before entering the community.

Hello po ano pong mga requirements ng bureau of immigration(BOI) manila sa mga travellers na given na ng NZ approved visitor visa: critical purpose … narinig po namin na some are declined by the Phil BOI just before boarding

Hi Nicky! Good luck. As long as you have evidence na genuine and stable ang relationship, you can try to apply for a partnership-based visa.

Hi Puavasa! The current advice on INZ's website is that offshore visa application is suspended until at least 5 August 2022. BUT, the suspension can be lifted if the border restrictions change.

Hi Rohith! Based on this border reopening plan, it looks like that would fall under Stage/Phase 3 so from 30 April 2022 (assuming that the overseas recruit is not considered a critical worker, some critical workers may be able to enter NZ now under the current border settings)

By full family nz visa, do you mean a resident visa? If it's a resident visa, then you can enter during Stage/Phase 2. Watch the 05:05 mark of the video.

Tanong lang po sa "Eligible Traveller", my wife is under Critical Purpose Visit Visa and we are included (husband, 2kids) as dependents. Our planned fly date to NZ is on Feb 28. Are we exempted po na sa MIQ or do we still need to secure one? Thanks po.

Hi Soon Well! Kahit naman po ngayon, anyone can choose to go home, pero at their own risk. Pero yes, when the border opens, particularly sa Stage/Phase 3, puwede na pong maka-travel more freely in and out of New Zealand. But travellers po should still be cautious siyempre. Let's wait for further guidance na lang po, nearer the date of Stage 3.
