I like that they've doubled down on its intended use, so to speak. Now that they have the Stance skis in their line, the QST can lean even more towards freeride performance, which I think is awesome.
I suppose you have to say it's happened over two years since they changed the QST 98 and Blank last year, but yeah, I think it's fair to say they're pretty significant changes overall.
I expect we'll see Emily pick up a pair of the QST Stella 106, actually. She likes wide skis and has a pair of the previous version already. She tested that ski too and in general prefers the new shape. She has other skis too, I reached out to get a full list of her quiver of skis.
Hahahaha I love this comment. She very well could be. Skis fast, very direct down the fall line, never afraid. Pretty impressive commitment. I'm more timid, I'll be the first to admit that!
I'm a guy , 140 Lbs, good skier , about 5'6 and wonder what the diffence is bettween the women Lumen and the mens qst. I'd ski the 169 lengh, I think the lumens come in 168 but looks like all the specs are the same... is there a difference other than the color and 1 cm? Thanks
It's a nice difference--the 2023 version is more rounded so it's smoother in softer snow. The build is slightly altered, with a double sidewall included, making it more smeary in the tips and tails while keeping the underfoot grip intact.
Great video and perspective. It will be nice to get Emily’s feedback, especially on these gender neutral types of skis. Get more reviews of women’s early in the season so us guys will know what to get our wives and girlfriends. It looked like some of your filming was at a different location. Were you at Sugarbush for part of this? Again great job by both of you. Ski Happy!
Yes! Emily spends most of her time at MRG and Sugarbush, so we thought we'd head to her neck of the woods to film. We actually filmed her on 5-6 different skis on that same day, so you'll see more from Bush.
More with Emily. Knows whats it´s about. Good review. So energetic.
Nicely done, both! You really had it going on in the bumps, Emily. Thanks for bringing a fresh perspective to this wonderful forum.
Thanks James! We're psyched to have Emily involved!
Go Emily!! You're talking at the bottom 50% of your air capacity the entire time, take more breaths throughout and try to stay above 50%. Great job!
Oh boy Emily is great !
Excellent review…Salomon is coming hard with the QST line.

Great job, Emily! Pretty significant changes in a single year for a line of skis, no?

what does emily ski on now? you didnt bring it up, but does she like them enough to actually buy a pair and use them instead of what she skis on now?

Is Emily the hardest charging skier on Essentials? People are saying.

No difference other than color, and I would venture a guess that they'd measure the same cm if you pulled a tape. Same mold.

Is there really much difference between the 2022 and 2023 QST Lumen 98?
