If you haven't dropped your grandchildren in a baby-strad dilemma that is.
Oooh insider
We've come full circle
Yooo we have the same first name!
“When has violin ever been the star of the party?” Cries in 2nd trombone
Violists, piccoloists, recorderists =cries in opressed
I've never know any violinist to be the start of the any party, though there are some viola players ... .
Seriously, parties with musicians (even including violinists and tenors) are much more fun than parties with engineers and scientists.
Person playing the triangle: should i cry as well?
A frat party or a party with anyone in general usually have 2 stars: A guitar, or the DJ
still cries in 1st trombone
Brett: "Nothing is perfect, guys."
Lingling: "Am i a joke to you?"
I mean technically he/she is a joke 🙃
@@malikkarim1791 A perfect joke.

The site finally shut down last year! Although I think the domain just expired. Cuz I remember first seeing it in 2011 and buying 10 years for a domain is normal. I wonder if it was real or the person just set it up as a meme and forgot about it.

"Lateral Associative Leaning." Shady website that doesn't check spelling. Sounds legit.
They're speaking of "The Gangsta Lean" (which isn't technically spelled correctly itself) but you get more respect (and "street cred") when you do it while holding your "Mastered Violin." Seems legit.

Damn I go to juilliard pre-college and when they said "when people fly across the world to go to juilliard or curtis" I started blushing lol
Good luck to you, internet stranger!
Sorry I’m late but congratulations 😁
Theoretically you can be trained to play something on a violin in a month if you have *_in combination:_*
1) Perfect pitch, to hear music in the most precise way;
2) Eidetic memory, to always remember what you've learned;
3) Ideal kinesthetic memory, to lessen amount of mistakes in motions;
4) An idiot teacher, who will "train" such a budding genius instead of genuinely teaching them.
But that will only turn you into a "playing apparatus", not a musician.
Great, I only need a teacher then
The term “apparatus” tho, damn 🙌🏻
Your not a musician, your just a stone cold calculator with a midi file stuck up your brain
In other words if you are AI
well i have eidetic memory. Too bad i am tone deaf
Love the conclusion of the video. It's easy to think Twoset brings us anxiety, frustration about being a musician, but in fact, they only teach us how to appreciate it despite the pain and the difficulties.
Yes we will cry, yes we will work so much hard but in the end, we will all become good musicians because there is not secret. There is no "musical borned geniuses" and no "30 day secret program", there is only practice and determination.
So keep practicing guys, we can make it!
Let's face it, they've inspired 100's to take up the violin (or other instrument). I like Eddy's comment: 'Surround yourself with people that are supportive so that you enjoy it and get the right mind-set'. So very true. I have 2 friends who are just that. They take a keen interest in my progress and applaud what I've achieved so far...
Yup. There is no shortcut. Practice, practice and practice 😙

I flinched because I imagined a flute player laughing while playing in like a concert🤣

Oh god it’s even worse with Guitar. All of these companies are like, “hey, wanna play guitar professionally in literally a week? Screw practice, buy this thing!”
Oddly enough, there's a well-known guitar book from the 1950s, 'Play in a Day' by Bert Weedon. But the only thing wrong with that book is the title.
@@cliptych yes he did change the title to play everyday it can take months just to play three chords cleanly
So what would you recommend for learning? I've been following Justin Guitar, and he's cool with taking time, I'm just wondering what else should I practice besides chords as a complete beginner, because I find chords insanely boring
@@skillvendor3905 Find a scale that fits the chords you've learned, then you can practise improvising and writing melodies. E.g. if you know C, F and G, the C minor pentatonic scale would allow you to play a lot of bluesy rock.
@@cliptych Yeah, I want to know something about scales. I'm sorry that this question sounds beyond stupid but, how do you actually play scales? Pick random notes from a scale or do they have an order? I know that question may have been confusing, it's just that whenever I see scales I see people playing them fully, how exactly do you improvise from a scale?
I just started taking (viola) lessons again after 12 years, and you can actually accomplish a lot in 30 days when you actually invest in a teacher, set realistic goals, and put in consistent practice (not even a lot - I can only fit in 30 mins after work each day). It's been officially one month since I started, and I actually left my lesson smiling (never happened as a teenager) because I could feel the improvement and the results of my work. Now that I'm just doing it for myself (no auditions, recitals, parent expectations), it actually does boost my self-esteem to have something to work towards and to be able to achieve what I set out to do!
*Internet sites trying to scam people*
Twoset: "I'm about to end this whole man's career"
...impress a partner....
*cries in single musician*

"Brett died because Eddy shredded."

I wish there's a tech channel here in UA-cam that's this honest about learning how to code, and open a community that helps each other. Most of what I see in the tech community are either suing, selling code interview packs, or ranting how bad it is in the tech industry. If you can suggest any non toxic youtube channel focused on tech and learning how to code, please let me know. Thanks!
You could make one.
Unfortunately I don't know any sorry
Program: "Learn the violin in 30 days!
Also the Program: "60-day money-back guarantee"
?????
Didn't spot that one!
this was a strangely inspiring video thanks for that little bit at the end of the video :') I'm a nursing student but I've always have had a huge love for music and play the flute and bass for a couple years. Your videos make me feel like randomly taking up a music theory class to learn more about music and so yeah just here to say I'm not a music major but I really appreciate your channel!!
I keep telling my daughter there is literally only 1 way to get better at anything.
Practice.
the secret is...
to practice for 40 hours everyday just like ling ling
It is wonderful that you made this video to look out for your more vurlnerable fans.
Dude, better to watch TwoSet and procrastinate than learning the violin from this.
It'll be much more helpful😂
y'all are a big reason why I keep practicing, despite being sooo lazy. thanks for that :D I'm slowly getting better as a violist
That is so true there's no shortcuts to learning an instruments no musicians can escape from practicing
so what is "lateral asscociative Leaning?" is that like downward dog while suspended in the air?
Brett: "Learn Despacito"
You mean... deSPICCATO
I suppose it would be possible to learn violin in 30 days, providing you don't eat, sleep, drink, or go to the toilet, but just played non stop for 30 days. You wouldn't be in too great a shape physically but you might be able to play twinkle twinkle little star perfectly by the end of it.
The last part really warmed my heart ☺️
I stopped playing the piano after 10 years of practice because I felt like everything I practiced for looked like trash, it was never good enough, and I couldn’t stand the process because I felt like a failure for not being able to play the pieces perfectly from the start. I loved my piano but the long sessions of tears I had to get through every time was just not worth the pleasure I could get in the end.
Bruh. There is an ad next to this video.....
Legend says it 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘰...𝘰𝘩 𝘣𝘰𝘺!
Oh God, I've never seen them this angry
This makes me feel so glad that i learned that music takes time to perfect. If i never did i’d end up the way i am with language learning. But now i’m on my way to learning songs like fantaisie-impropmtu
Edit: after learning fantaisie-impromptu i’ve moved onto liebestraum no. 3 which i’ve been practicing for a few weeks, hopefully it’ll be all doable :3
I just found this channel and have been binging all of your videos the whole week, and now I've just bought my first violin. Thanks for such great content and inspiration guys! Now, I need to practice
If it wasn’t difficult, learning the violin wouldn’t be special. I kind of enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when I worked at something and got better. I love music and the process of playing requires a personal investment.
To acquire ANY skill you need: a mentor who really knows what he is doing, the determination to learn the skill, and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. It takes two years at least to acquire a new habit so start practicing TODAY.
You know it’s bad when revolutionary is capitalized when it doesnt have to be

"Impress a Partner"
I can say that violin does not usually impress my girlfriend, it's too loud, and little string screeches kinda ruin it. Usually, she's the one impressing while playing ukulele, guitar, or singing.
Thank you for caring about your community so much ❤️❤️
We love you TwoSet!!

Only $4.95? You guys should use a 1-time credit card with only 5 bucks on it using a service like Privacy. See what ridiculous things you get access to. And make fun of them.
Also, editor-san, thank you for discontinuing the super long Marvel-esque intro cinematic.
ok
Btw guys it said “Brett ur an embarrassment to staying on screen”
I love how they make fun of those scammers. Also give people tips not to get fooled by those frauds. Salute.
Also Brett and Eddy's pep talk was amazing.
Ling Ling learned the violin in 30 days.
Eight months later he was born.
I’m just dying at the disgust in their voice reactions to the customer reviewssss!!!!!😂
My relatives say "Did you learn how to play violin ?" and when i say"not yet." they just go like "Oh maybe there is a problem with your teacher, you already playing for 1,5 year you should know how to play."
And i go like "Do YoU EveN KnOw What Is viOlİn ?"
No i just smile to them :'(
Aha, i know how your feel. Like my mom said to me "why can't you play violin better? You just repeat same sound for long time" if you know, that time i just learn violin for two months XD

Imagine Hilary Hahn seeing this.
Actually, I went to a birthday party once where someone pulled out an erhu (chinese "violin") and there was a male opera singer too. Not quite what I was expecting, but the performance was actually pretty cool!
"it makes Simply Piano look like a university" LoL!!
Hehe......I bet those scammers feel attacked 😂
To be fair to the "advertisement points" though, theatre kids (aka me and most of my friends, lol) are more likely to actually be receptive to people who play musical instruments at their parties, because they are actually into music. (the number of cast parties I've been to where like half of the time was spent just singing together as a group...)
The last cast party I went to, we played songs from The Greatest Showman and sang them all in the living room. It was awesome. The party before that was really bittersweet because one of the group's most prominent members was heading off to college and wouldn't be doing theatre with us anymore, so we all sat around and sang sad songs together.
In the community theatre I used to do plays at a lot, the "cool kids" were the ones who played piano and guitar. And there was one girl who played violin. (she actually played the part of the fiddler when we did Fiddler On The Roof, when she was like 15 or 16, and she did a spectacular job.)
So while the whole "earn respect" and "impress your friends" stuff wouldn't apply in most environments, they might apply if you are in the right group of people for it. :P
I love the fact that the happier Eddy looks, the more disgusted he is.
Brett's smile at 0:27 is the cutest thing ever
I work in credit card fraud for a major bank. You would be amazed how many people fall for scams like this EVERY SINGLE DAY and completely compromise their bank accounts 😭
I’ve been playing baritone for like 2-3 months. I just got into 8th notes XD
6:44 prince of violin
scammers make their ads/sites/phone calls etc so ridiculous so that whoever actually responds or signs up for these is gullible enough to pay them big bucks
At the end, hearing Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C Major: finale, just reminded me when I went on a music major for a day event for college and they made us sightread this piece at full tempo with the orchestra...I just got war flashbacks hearing the pizzicato in the background
Dudes... I’m watching your videos so much that I’m starting to think in your voices! My fucking inner monologue sounds like Eddy reminding me to do the laundry and go buy milk!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
When the site says i'll get respect if i play an instrument is not true. i played cello for my class and 2 people clapped, and one of those were my teacher.
8:36 Eddy u make my heart melt
2:44 Yeah, if a website isn't even HTTPS (which is free with Let'sEncrypt btw) that's an immediate red flag.
I saw this ad for learning a language in 30 days and I checked the privacy policy and terms of service and apparently they could give your details (which you had to enter to use the website) to third party companies and use your personal information for basically whatever they wanted, adding that you were agreeing to waive your rights to legal representation by using the site.
Basically, I got out of there pretty quickly. Reading the terms of service is a good idea
OMFG!!! Please please PLEASE buy this and do a full review/burn/rip-it-a-new-one!!!

You two are too funny and smart. 🤣 I am using your videos to motivate my 8 y.o. to understand he must practice every day! He started violin at 6 1/2.
"Yeah you should've stayed reluctant *mate* " got me I'm ded.😂
“Say goodbye to dull practice”

I thought they were going to use Yousician but wow it is a website. These guys never run out of ideas for violins. I love it.
Thanks for sincerely making this video, you guys. It's good to be aware of - or reminded not to fall for - scams like these.
Stay well!
0:08 I automatically looked for the x to close that brown box - looked shady from the beginning :D
When you don't understand what a website being 'secure' means.
11:20 - You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain
Istg there’s so many ppl uploading and I don’t know what to do!
You two should do a reaction video to the Morcambe and Wise Andre Previn sketch
I just would love the start phase to be faster, because I am so ashamed of my sound that I barely practice, which in result ends up in me not improving
I’d be interested in a violin/music class from you guys. How to hold the bow. How to hold the violin. How to roll up a towel for a shoulder rest. How to play a violin when you don’t have a working violin. That stuff. Lol.
I took this and mastered the violin, and i didn't even need a violin to do it. It works for the cello too, that's just a big violin you hold differently.
O yes, of course. I started to learn to play the violin because I wanted the respect I deserve. 🤪
NOT!
Omg the reasons the listed lmfao 😂🤣 ILY brett and eddy!
Oh wow, I was fast
Two set should come watch my high school perform Tchaikovsky 2 in San Diego CA
I don't know why the look down! I bought this Violin Program, and now I can play the Bass perfectly
I think when Eddy points to the ceiling he expects the editor to put a picture of the fastest violinist or the fake tv show
Need a part 2 where you actually buy it and critique the contents (if they’re not outright scamming you). I’m sure a lot of viewers are eager to see what kind of bullshit you get access to.
I love how the ad on the video is a Simply Piano ad.
:0 Tchaikovsky's Serenade! im playing that at school aha (the background music) and it is the finale too!
I just want to appreciate these vids because I myself wants to find a fast way to learn instruments. Thanks for insisting that practice is important.
Once I saw that dudes bow hold in the picture, it was OVER
If you try to join, it takes you to a clickbank that says "IMPORTANT!

NO WAY SIMPLY VIOLIN
I've never seen these two had fun roasting a website
You guys should react to Lang Lang and His Father at Carnegie Hall since you learned about the Erhu!!
I love how they scooter forward in their chairs whenever they were speaking profoundly and scooted back when they were done
It says non-repetitive.... like what do you think that the violin is? Sometimes it’s frustrating trying to get something right, you spend hours slaving over your music, but in the end, you get the pay off that you worked for. That feels amazing. But you gotta work for it 😂😂😂
please get one of these courses and go through it and make Ling Ling proud
An actual beginner should try this.
You mean watching TwoSet?
