So for anyone like myself, Kim's age, or some even older, you need to have lived under a rock not to have heard of her!!

I remember buying Close as a 14 year old. We had travelled from Glasgow to Spain on a bus and it stopped off somewhere in France on the way there and I ran into this big music store and bought this album. It was stuck like glue to me for the whole 2 weeks. It went to the beach, to the play area, it went to the late bar with my parents and finally it sat next to me all the way back from Spain to Glasgow and then I got to play it. I am sure you all guessed what happened then! It was scratched to bits and I cried like a baby lol My mother took me to Woolco the next day to buy another copy just to shut me up. Loved that album and I still have both copies.
Incredible story! First time on summer holiday in France in 1988 and I also bought Close there! We got stuck in Paris for almost 2 weeks and I listened to that CD every day! Can't wait for the new album!
Strangely I was in France for the first time in 1988 too, but unfortunately I was not really into music much at that time. I didn't really start getting into music till 1992/3 around the time Kim released The Singles Collection. I was at a friend's house listening to some compilation cassette's he had done and You Came, Four Letter Word and Never Trust a Stranger were on one that we listened to. I was immediately interested to find out more about the singer, so he loaned me the Close album and I was a fan from then on.
The 80's was the best decade ever...

Love Kim Wilde (you came my favourite) remember her on stage on the Michael Jacksons tour in 88. Also met her when I worked at Wyevale Garden Centres Head Office in Hereford. Can't wait to get the album.

I always have a couple of tracks from Kim Wilde in my playlists that I absolutely enjoy listening to... Spotify does the rest of course, because quite a few years back, I had some vinyl records, cassette tapes and compact discs of Kim Wilde's career, that was knicked sadly !

I saw Kim 2 years ago and it was the badest concert i have ever been. The sound ingenieur did not a good job : she played 75 minutes and at the end she had to shout against the sound of her band.
It’s mad isn’t it. She couldn’t sing back then, so I doubt she’s any better now.
