They must have thought it was a real baby. Then this would all be so wrong. I really can't think of any other possible reasoning. ;) So that has to be it.
Please Jackie make a video on how you hold the hair!! PLEASE also show how the fork needles work!! I can't get it to grab the hair. Thanks Jackie in advance!! I enjoy your videos!!!
Me to cant grab one hair, wish i could use this method, look how fast and how neat it is! All i know is if the needle isn't held correctly you wont root one single hair. Tell me about it lol !
Approximately, how far does each strand go into a silicone doll head and how does it stay? I've never brushed my dolls hair, but I see many who do and also wash it.
It's totally mesmerizing watching you do this....it's my absolute favorite part of making dolls, I don't seem to be able to get enough of it. I've learned so so so very much from you, thank you for all your tutorials, ...and your shopping trips are , well, a trip! Lol! Warmly, Babs
Wow look how quick you root that hair, you make it look so easy, i find it very hard to root one hair even from the middle with a fork needle, to do this from the end like you do is amazing, no doubt this is the best method if one can master it of course.
Wow Jackie the speed at what your rooting is amazing yet you are only grabbing one hair at a time through a bunch of hair. I noticed to you are aiming the needle straight and not slanted yet the hair isn't sticking straight up like it would if you did this on a vinyl doll.
I bought an Ashton Drake doll with the worst hair I have ever seen. It looks like a used up brillo pad. Can you redo it? Or do you do that. I love watching you guys together. I'm 70 and I'm constantly watching your channel. Thanks Jackie. My best to you both. Marcia
Jackie I think any kind of tutorial you do is mesmerising to watch so whatever you have in mind just go ahead and do it but I would love to know how to root a little sparse around the face and temples and have the rest of the hair thicker as I always do thick hair all over the head
I have a ivita silicone doll I am not able to afford a high end doll. I would like to get hair put on her and change her eyes. Would you be able to root her for me? How can I get ahold of you
Thank you Jackie. I would like to say I would like to see the needle and hair holding video if you wish to make one. I would certainly be watching. I played around with a needle and with a needle & holder and only a coulpe ways to hold the hair. also, I am interested in removing the needle and hair ... the routine you use. i felt I had to change the way I was removing the needle and hair. that is. the order in which i remove them. thanks for all the help!
Hi, I just find it fascinating to watch you. Do you find if you video it makes it easier for you to do it (rooting) or it doesn't matter? Do you cut Stephanie & Tambri's hair? 🤗🐽✌❤
I had finished commenting & sent & my wife (who has to get up early for work She should have been asleep) comes leaping out of the bedroom & starts whistling LOL 🤗🐽✌❤
Wow just wow your work is amazing! Is it possible that you can reroute and Ashton Drake dolls head? I don't like the dolls hair it's synthetic and turning coarse right away
Hey @heart2heartbabies - random question but how strong is the hair once rooted? can you brush/gentle pull on the hair without it coming out immediately? Thanks in advance!!
As long as it is sealed, a simple brush should be fine. If it's not sealed from the inside, the hair will come out no matter how gently you brush it. I hope that helps you ❤️❤️❤️
I've seen people say anyone that has a silicone needs to learn how to root so they can touch up areas where the hair is most likely to fall out. What do you think about that?
@Jackie Ortiz you do excellent work with your hair rooting. The reborns hair looked just like my sons hair did when he was born. Did you also make the reborn baby? If not, what is it called and where did you get him from. He is so Nice and Realistic!!!
Omg...So mesmerizing...I could watch the motion for hours on repeat. Wow, just wow Jackie! Do you plan to do a hair painting tutorial with this fancy new camera? What kind of camera is it?
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. And, yes! That is most definitely my plan - painting videos with the new camera. And, the camera is a Canon G7X
did you ever make the video showing the position of the held needle and hair promised in this video? It would really help. Also do you hold them the same on vinyls?
It's definitely not evasive. How will people know my labor price if they do not ask? hehehehe. Currently, I am charging $375 to root a newborn size head. The price changes as the baby gets bigger
Omg what a beautiful job I’m looking for someone to root my 2 full silicones babies I bought They are (2 inches the girl and 4 inches the boy) I will love to see mines just like this one!!! Can root their hair pls?
Kyla Fuller hi, yes I knew that mohair isn't human, but I was wondering do you buy human hair wefts to use on your dolls. Like a bundle of human hair for weaving, where you would use it for your dolls.
The hair is beautiful but it was those lashes that blew me away. I have never seen them done so well. Most look too long in the inner corner. Eyelashes are naturally shorter on the inner corner near the nose and then gradually sweep longer toward the outside corner. But I have seen 3k dolls that have eyelashes that are like soldiers lined up in a row from the inside corner to the outside and all the exact same length. The one thing that art can't capture (or at least I have never seen it in a doll) is the way the lashes clump together in sections that taper to a point. I see it in babies and some adults as well as fake eyelashes, but not everyone has lashes like that but it is a very pretty growth pattern, and I wish I could figure out how to make it happen. Still these are the prettiest I have ever seen. And not all human baby lashes taper in those clumps that I admire in real life these couldn't look more natural.
Thanks to sharing ! :) Please, what kind of hair is? With this technique, one hair by one hair is punched? You use a professional needle? What is the brand? Thanks! @^:^@
The hair can come out if you pull it out. That's why you have to be gentle. And, as a silicone rooter, I make sure I push the hair with the needle as deep as possible, so the hair doesn't come out so easily. I hope this helps :)
I don’t know how or why someone could fix their hand to give her a thumbs down! She did an amazing job on the hair!
LadyBehindTheScene they probably were so happy and into the video their finger accidentally hit the thumbs down 👎 accidentally!
They must have thought it was a real baby. Then this would all be so wrong. I really can't think of any other possible reasoning. ;) So that has to be it.
The Pet interview ad is an absolute hoot!
Yes please! Your my #1 idol in the reborn artist world I love your work 😍😍 let me be your apprentice lol
Please Jackie make a video on how you hold the hair!! PLEASE also show how the fork needles work!! I can't get it to grab the hair. Thanks Jackie in advance!! I enjoy your videos!!!

Hi Jackie. I really enjoy yours and Stephanie's videos. I watch every time a new one is uploaded. I love both of you and Stephanie's work. Amazing!
The expression on the baby, while you are doing that, is intense! lol
Right😂😂😂😂😂the baby looks like she in pain.. lmfao
Amazing, you truly are very talented .All of your work looks so realistic .x

Hello, what did you map the head with? The white lines? Thank you.
how much do you charge to root a silicone dolls hair?
Wow Jackie the speed at what your rooting is amazing yet you are only grabbing one hair at a time through a bunch of hair. I noticed to you are aiming the needle straight and not slanted yet the hair isn't sticking straight up like it would if you did this on a vinyl doll.
I LOVE the rooting job, I so wish I had your touch!

The job is good. Great rutting. But mold... Terribly scary
Absolutely beautiful rooting.
Do you use any glue in order to place the hair stronger, or that you could style it?
Awesome Jackie!!!
I have a question ... after rooting the hair do you put some glue on the hair or something like that so that it does not come off the head?
Hi, I just find it fascinating to watch you. Do you find if you video it makes it easier for you to do it (rooting) or it doesn't matter? Do you cut Stephanie & Tambri's hair?

Does the needle create a knot before the hair goes into the hole of the doll's head?
Isn't this like rooting a Lace frontal on a wig?
Olá Jacqueline... Não precisa passat nem um tipo de cola?
Hey @heart2heartbabies - random question but how strong is the hair once rooted? can you brush/gentle pull on the hair without it coming out immediately? Thanks in advance!!
As long as it is sealed, a simple brush should be fine. If it's not sealed from the inside, the hair will come out no matter how gently you brush it. I hope that helps you ❤️❤️❤️
@heart2heartbabies how do you seal it from the I side? I just ordered a full silicone doll. It's not one where the limbs and head are detachable..
Yes show us how you root and hold the hair and needle 😀
Can you root hair on my Ivita baby girl's head?
I'm having directional problems. What direction do you point the needle
So when you put it in is the hair like not easy to fall out or do you glue it un
Hi love this video was very educational
Yes please say us how you keep the hair in the head!
Katharina Unterberger with silicone dolls there’s no way to anchor the hair...in vinyl I believe glue is used on underside of head
Glue is put inside the dolls head to keep the hair rooted, and prevent it from coming out with brushing and combing.
Yes please I would love to know how to do it myself?
Please make the video please and how to keep the hair in. I have an Ashton drake silicone baby and her head soft but hard. Lol
I got a painted hair doll, I would like to have real hair. Would you take the paint off or leave it for guideline?
I've seen people say anyone that has a silicone needs to learn how to root so they can touch up areas where the hair is most likely to fall out. What do you think about that?
I am getting a 10 inch silicone baby doll with painted hair can you add hair to that baby doll as well and if so what is the running price for it?
Amazing work!
@Jackie Ortiz you do excellent work with your hair rooting. The reborns hair looked just like my sons hair did when he was born. Did you also make the reborn baby? If not, what is it called and where did you get him from. He is so Nice and Realistic!!!
Do you take in other reborns to fix their hair?
Phew ! great job but is there not a machine that could do all this ?
Love the how to videos , Thanks .

tracey mallard mohair is not human hair.

How do you hold the hair

you are amazing
Thanks to sharing ! :) Please, what kind of hair is?
With this technique, one hair by one hair is punched?
You use a professional needle? What is the brand?
Thanks! @^:^@
How do they not come off? No glue insiede like in vinyl...?
The hair can come out if you pull it out. That's why you have to be gentle. And, as a silicone rooter, I make sure I push the hair with the needle as deep as possible, so the hair doesn't come out so easily. I hope this helps :)
