Is it just me that likes how open Clare is about her pregnancy? It's not something people should have to talk about if they don't want to, and that's completely okay, but it's great to see how far she's come after/while having a fear of being pregnant. I'm super proud of her!
I personally have a really strong fear of pregnancy (called tokophobia) to the point of panic attacks, I never want to be pregnant and I really resent the whole process. This would be great if I was childfree but I REALLY want children. Watching Clare go on this journey so honestly and optimistically is really inspiring to me that maybe one day I can do it too, and it won't be as bad as I'm building it up to be.
maternity clothes will always be useful, whether you save them in case you have another baby, whether you give them to your friends when they get pregnant, or donate them

Yes, I agree 100%! I'm the same age as Clare and single & loving it, yet I find myself enjoying her talk about her pregnancy and baby stuff 🥰 especially about coming to terms with a changing body, which tends to happen to most people even without a pregnancy. Hey Clare! I have some advise for the dogs and the baby. After you have the baby wrap them in a blanket and before you leave the hospital, have Ali bring the blanket to the dogs so they get used to the scent. It will make it easier for them.
You should order some bra-clasp expanders! They saved me during pregnancy from having to buy a bunch of new bras that would just be too big in a few months. Lindex and H&M have them and they're really cheap for a two-pack. Also, get a balconette-bra to wear with that green asos-dress, it shouldn't be visible due to the shape of the cups. The buttons, cut them off!
As someone who has been in the Big Tiddy Committee for many years, the struggle of fitting to your chest (whilst not swimming in the rest of the outfit’s material) is always A Struggle™️. Tbh it’s part of the reason why I took up sewing so I could buy to fit my chest and tailor the clothes to the rest of my body

that’s a good point! But I’ve been pregnant and you gotta keep in mind that all these growths vary between people still. Some might not have it at all and some might have other changes as well. I do think they should have actual pregnant woman, but unfortunately I don’t believe it would help with sizing

Plus-sized people don't tend to have the same defined features as thinner people, nor do they tend to have the exact same proportions. It's why there's an actual secret trend of taking a thin model and putting them in a fat suit for plus-size clothing shoots. Likewise, pregnant bodies come with a lot of changes--and ones catalogues may not always want to display. If you take a model that has the exact body you want and just strap a fake belly onto it, you can get the look you want without any of the "hassles" of a real body. Fashion catalogues, as a general rule, are filled with casual lies.
I think modeling while pregnant isn’t exactly an easy job to do for both the mother and child, and it would probably be hard to find qualified candidates within certain time limits. Someone may be scheduled to model a month or so in advanced, and then they have a premature birth. They need to be showing enough, which could be about 2/3 months in, so they have a 3-4 month window (or less) to search though and hire qualified candidates because I’m sure they don’t want to risk hiring someone past 6/7 months for safety reasons. They also need to plan the photo shoot, and the models bodies will definitely fluctuate, so their measurements will not be the same the next time they meet for the shoot. I know there a lot of other factors, but just envisioning all of them makes me understand more and more how it’s better for everyone involved to just use fake baby bumps/lesser pregnant women.
Here is my list of colors that would look good on you (just my opinion based on skin, hair and eye color) * Chocolate brown * Carmel * Forest Green *literally all shades of blue * Lilac * Plum * Berry ;) I think your color pallette is more winter/ spring but the darker hues better suit your tones. But most importantly, wear what you want to wear, if you like yellow... then WEAR YELLOW!
from working in retail, the vomit smell on clothes often comes from cheap dyes that they use. i’ve found they typically leave a chemically sort of residue on my hands, you’re definitely better off not trying it on lol ❤️ love you
Yess, at work we have the option to be without mask, I keep wearing mine because of this exact reason. Some clothes just stink and I still smell it but not as bad without a mask lol

there are some online boutiques that focus more on maternity wear. i did a quick google search and found pinkblush maternity, seraphine, and motherhood, and even stitchfix. not sure of the shipping availability for the uk but it’s worth looking into.
even the clothes that were a big NAY looked SOOOOO amazing on clare. clare can pull off anything i swear, in her color pallet or not. edit: i also think the flowy dresses looked so beautiful on clare

People grow, and change and learn. We keep getting to know ourselves throughout our whole life and it’s truly wild and an amazing part of growing older. Sometimes fear comes in the way of what we truly want in life and sometimes we don’t let it. I think it’s amazing to see Clare wanting to be a mom despite her fears in the past. It couldn’t have been an easy journey. I am so glad she’s here and getting to experience something she was very scared of

Clare at one point you talk about seasons and that’s armochromia (color analysis). There are some experts you can go to and they’ll tell you which season you are and therefore the color palette that suits you (it’s stupidly expensive imho but my sister loved it). Armochromia is based on contrasts (between skin, eyes, natural hair) and warmth of your tones. To break it down: summer is low contrast and cold tones, autumn is low contrast and warm tones, winter high contrast and cold tones, spring is high contrast and warm tones. There are subtypes of each season but this is all I know lol. I might be wrong, but I’d say you are summer! You were blonde, you skin is fair and your eyes are a light color, and I’d say you have cold tones. That’s why you really suit cold blond hair or grey, silver jewelry, light blue and white dresses and so on (and that’s why you don’t like that warm yellow on you). Again I’m not an expert so I might be wrong in something here!

I mean she says being with him did, but she was with him when she was saying how she didn't want to be pregnant, so I was just hoping for a more detailed explanation if she felt comfortable doing so just out of curiosity.
@@bequietplease I think one of the things she mentions are hormones (even do there of course are more reasons behind such a decision). When you are 30-35 years old is isn’t uncommon to change your mind about having children. There is a hormone rush there. After 35 years of age a woman’s fertility drasticly drops, some faster then others. The hormones are a way of your body telling you that you really should start having some children and that it soon will be to late. But that dosen’t mean that all women changes their minds about having children, but some do.
JEWEL TONES!! You suit jewel tones so much which is a combination of deep winter and deep autumn! I thought abt that when you said you didn’t suit pastels but when you put the tan dress on and said forest green and dark blue or wine thats when it became really obvious!
Speaking as someone who has three kids, that anxiety is perfectly normal during pregnancy, and if you don’t feel ready to talk about stuff that’s totally fine, nothing to feel guilty about or need to apologize for. It’s exciting but can also be really scary. Best wishes to you! You look excited!

When I was pregnant and nursing I just ended up buying XL bra's, and lived in them for months. All got milk stained eventually and chucked but I was hella comfy. Still wear my maternity pjs 16 months later. No regrets. Congratulations on the baby x

Just like you I’ve held off buying maternity clothes but now it’s gotten to the point that I NEED to buy some because absolutely nothing fits me! And I’ve had enough of baggy T-shirts, especially in this heat! 🥵 my underarms need to breathe 😅 Asda George have been a life saver honestly, I highly recommend their maternity clothes. I’m also struggling for bras, primark nursing bras felt so uncomfortable on me (under the boob/rib area like you mention too) but a normal T-shirt bra with a strap extender have been a more comfortable fit somehow lol 🤷🏻♀️💕
Clothes from Shein are actually 98% yay for me! You can find cotton pieces, but the very cheap ones are also great and last fairly long for me, im always surprised everytime i buy from them (i know it's not eco friendly and i try to buy in person, but most big companies are not great either, and it's so expensive in my country, so Shein is my fav place to buy from)

I really liked the look of the sage dress and the long one as well, but it's important that the person wearing it is comfortable. Also material has a huge impact! And it's always difficult to go up in size, regardless of reasons for it.
I just wore sweats, leggings, & big giant tee shirts. 😂 I was sick throughout my whole pregnancy so I didn't feel like dressing nice. But you're looking so good Clare! Your bump is soooooooo adorable. ❤️Can't wait to see the little creation you & Ali had made!
Same! I had twin boys my first pregnancy, and a girl my second. Both times i wore leggings, sweats, and big tees/sweaters (both winter pregnancies, even though most of it felt like summer in the tropics! LOL)
Hey Claire just found a dress you might like it’s called maternity khaki frill midi dress, on river island, it’s 100% cotton so it should be super comfy and it’s good for the environment as you said, it’s khaki green, which would look really good on you, it’s not too showy around the chest, it’s just above the knees, where you said it would suit you, and it’s only £25! Clare! You definitely have cool undertones, so it's either gonna be summer or winter. I'm not sure how red hair plays into this (if it's your natural), but I think you could either be Light summer or more likely Clear Winter (especially if your real hair color is more brown then red or dark red). Clear winter colors look very well on you - only a few people can wear colors like that and they definitely suit you! Hope this helps! :)

Mad props to you for being so open about something so sensitive to you. As a mum of a 2 yr old, I still have that fear and am coming to terms with it being the normal amount of worry that parents have for their kids. The same level of worry that makes you sickly scared and also so angry when they do something silly and almost hurt themselves. It made me appreciate my own parents and the level of concern they had for me as a child. Parenthood is a lifelong wild ride. You may not be holding your son in your arms yet but you are already a mother. Even if things don't go to plan, you still deserve to know and remember this special time that you're spending growing and chilling with your little dude ❤️
I'm so excited for you guys! I remember watching one of your older videos and then I kept watching and saw one of the videos of you explaining you don't want kids and etc. As I grew older watching your videos and seeing your prospective on relationships and your personal issues growth inspired me. I struggled with not great parents and not so great social enviromint at school. When watcing your videos(and other stong female youtubers) and my own struggles helped me except that everyone grows and changes differently and you have to love and cheirsh the small things in life. Though I personally am to young right now to have kids, I still have some more issues within myself to heal from, but I do feel less crazy for feeling a conflict on problems that others mat see differently then me. So, thank you for being one of my strong female role models for me!

I'm so happy for Clare and Ali, Clare is absolutely gorgeous and she has such a radiant pregnancy glow as well. I discovered this channel years ago but started watching more in the past year and a bit and watching Clare develop more into this absolutely amazing and inspiring woman has been such an amazing influence, I have PCOS and a few other severe health problems that unfortunately has meant at 21 I've had to make the tough decision that I will never be able to carry a child of my own in fear of my health problems being passed down even though growing up I was sure on wanting my own biological children. Although I won't be carrying my own child/children watching Clare being so open with at first not wanting kids and her fears of childbirth, caring for a child and whether she'd be a good mother or if she was ready for a child, to now seeing how excited she is now for the life her and Ali have created is so heart warming and I'm sure there's still underlying fears or worries there of course but watching this channel for a year, seeing how she genuinely cares and adores her family, her pets and everyone in this community I can tell she'll be an amazing mum alongside Ali being the amazing husband he is and soon to be dad they're going to do amazing To Clare and Ali: It may not always seem easy, there will be tears, anger, laughs and lessons and you may not feel confident in yourself or in your parenting style all the time but just know that no matter what happens you'll always have each other for support and at the end of the day there is no "correct" way to parent, as you raise your baby boy to become who he will become and as he learns and grows, you'll learn with him. It's one step at a time but you're both amazing and have such open and pure acceptance of everyone no matter what. Never let a day end in anger or sadness but instead with a hug or an "I love you" and remember that in the end you have each other, you have your families who love and support you and you both have amazing communities who will always care and support you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess😪 Hey, if you're not planning on having *anymore kids any time soon, probably donating your outfits to friends, family, or even woman based charaties/shelters might be a good home for them *after you give birth-- Since your initial concerns was that you'd only need for a few more months + post-partum. You don't have to if it makes you feel uncomfortable, but it's an option. This might be so weird to type, but people barely notice my comments anyway-- But like, I feel like the universe is trying to tell to something. So like, Clare's pregnant, UA-cam has been recommending me mommy/pregnancy channels (not sure why, but I role with it because babies are cute--That behavior makes it worse btw, because now my algorithm is screwed up), and for the past few months I've just been having the urge to be pregnant😭 I'm no where close in life (imo, y'all can do whatever you want) to have a baby, in college, no friends or partner, the only thing I got going for me is my hormones working well enough to make it happen if I let it. I know the fear of something happening, I know that's real and the fear to comming back to a place with everything is set up for a baby that will not be there.. but something I learned after I gave birth to my daugther (she was born without any complications and is a now 1 1/2 year old), is that even in the case of something happening she existed in me, she is and was real even inside my bump. And there's nothing to hide of that, and nothing to forget. The changes in our bodies were, and still are, real. The love we felt and feel for our babies before they born is real.. and that's why even in a sad place (that saddly can happen) you will come back to this memories later on, of felling them alive inside us, of expecting them with so much love, and with everyone aound us loving them aswell.. Still, is beautifull to see you so happy Clare! and I wish for you a great delivey and life..

If you feel anxious or nervous about something just let yourself feel it and work through it at your own pace and no one else. The baby bump looks so good on you and you look happy. I love how you let us all take this journey with you. I was never able to have children and always wanted many of them. For so many years I smiled and was there for everyone that was pregnant while it hurt inside that it wasn't me. I had to work through my feelings at my own pace. Enjoy ever second with your growing family (meaning you hubby, puppies and baby)
Be picky about fast fashion 👏👏👏 I’m finally learning to be picky about the clothes I buy and it means I actually wear them! Even if you love to shop, I’d recommend learning how to style yourself and know your colors/styles before buying clothing. It has saved me so much time and money. When I still feel like shopping, I enjoy window shopping or researching to find the best of the things I need in my price range. 😄
Just a hot tip, if you happen to see this Clare - the best way to find your color palette is either a written quiz and a mirror or a look through your favorite clothing. Method one doesn’t have the variation of lighting that a filter will take into consideration. And method two, which I feel like is the most reliable, relies on the clothes you buy, keep, and wear. The clothes we wear regularly tend to compliment us! Especially in color and shape. I am a deep autumn, and those royal gem colors that you were mentioning are the ones I wear continually. I’d say you could be an autumn with your red hair and with platinum or blonde - a winter. The fact that your hair color changes can make it more confusing, but also more fun!

that’s a good point! But I’ve been pregnant and you gotta keep in mind that all these growths vary between people still. Some might not have it at all and some might have other changes as well.

Plus-sized people don't tend to have the same defined features as thinner people, nor do they tend to have the exact same proportions. It's why there's an actual secret trend of taking a thin model and putting them in a fat suit for plus-size clothing shoots. Likewise, pregnant bodies come with a lot of changes--and ones catalogues may not always want to display. If you take a model that has the exact body you want and just strap a fake belly onto it, you can get the look you want without any of the "hassles" of a real body.
Fashion catalogues, as a general rule, are filled with casual lies.
It’s probably because they think clothes automatically look worse on pregnant women and they want their clothes to look as best as possible.
I think modeling while pregnant isn’t exactly an easy job to do for both the mother and child, and it would probably be hard to find qualified candidates within certain time limits. Someone may be scheduled to model a month or so in advanced, and then they have a premature birth. They need to be showing enough, which could be about 2/3 months in, so they have a 3-4 month window (or less) to search though and hire qualified candidates because I’m sure they don’t want to risk hiring someone past 6/7 months for safety reasons. They also need to plan the photo shoot, and the models bodies will definitely fluctuate, so their measurements will not be the same the next time they meet for the shoot. I know there a lot of other factors, but just envisioning all of them makes me understand more and more how it’s better for everyone involved to just use fake baby bumps/lesser pregnant women.
Because if anything happens to you while you're working and pregnant, it's gonna be a bigger headache for those that are your employees.

I think your color pallette is more winter/ spring but the darker hues better suit your tones. But most importantly, wear what you want to wear, if you like yellow... then WEAR YELLOW!

from working in retail, the vomit smell on clothes often comes from cheap dyes that they use. i’ve found they typically leave a chemically sort of residue on my hands, you’re definitely better off not trying it on lol ❤️ love you
Yess, at work we have the option to be without mask, I keep wearing mine because of this exact reason. Some clothes just stink and I still smell it but not as bad without a mask lol

there are some online boutiques that focus more on maternity wear. i did a quick google search and found pinkblush maternity, seraphine, and motherhood, and even stitchfix. not sure of the shipping availability for the uk but it’s worth looking into.

Clare at one point you talk about seasons and that’s armochromia (color analysis). There are some experts you can go to and they’ll tell you which season you are and therefore the color palette that suits you (it’s stupidly expensive imho but my sister loved it). Armochromia is based on contrasts (between skin, eyes, natural hair) and warmth of your tones. To break it down: summer is low contrast and cold tones, autumn is low contrast and warm tones, winter high contrast and cold tones, spring is high contrast and warm tones. There are subtypes of each season but this is all I know lol. I might be wrong, but I’d say you are summer! You were blonde, you skin is fair and your eyes are a light color, and I’d say you have cold tones. That’s why you really suit cold blond hair or grey, silver jewelry, light blue and white dresses and so on (and that’s why you don’t like that warm yellow on you). Again I’m not an expert so I might be wrong in something here!

@@bequietplease I think one of the things she mentions are hormones (even do there of course are more reasons behind such a decision). When you are 30-35 years old is isn’t uncommon to change your mind about having children. There is a hormone rush there. After 35 years of age a woman’s fertility drasticly drops, some faster then others. The hormones are a way of your body telling you that you really should start having some children and that it soon will be to late. But that dosen’t mean that all women changes their minds about having children, but some do.

Speaking as someone who has three kids, that anxiety is perfectly normal during pregnancy, and if you don’t feel ready to talk about stuff that’s totally fine, nothing to feel guilty about or need to apologize for. It’s exciting but can also be really scary.

When I was pregnant and nursing I just ended up buying XL bra's, and lived in them for months. All got milk stained eventually and chucked but I was hella comfy. Still wear my maternity pjs 16 months later. No regrets.

Just like you I’ve held off buying maternity clothes but now it’s gotten to the point that I NEED to buy some because absolutely nothing fits me! And I’ve had enough of baggy T-shirts, especially in this heat! 🥵 my underarms need to breathe 😅 Asda George have been a life saver honestly, I highly recommend their maternity clothes. I’m also struggling for bras, primark nursing bras felt so uncomfortable on me (under the boob/rib area like you mention too) but a normal T-shirt bra with a strap extender have been a more comfortable fit somehow lol 🤷🏻♀️💕
Clothes from Shein are actually 98% yay for me! You can find cotton pieces, but the very cheap ones are also great and last fairly long for me, im always surprised everytime i buy from them (i know it's not eco friendly and i try to buy in person, but most big companies are not great either, and it's so expensive in my country, so Shein is my fav place to buy from)

I really liked the look of the sage dress and the long one as well, but it's important that the person wearing it is comfortable. Also material has a huge impact! And it's always difficult to go up in size, regardless of reasons for it.
I just wore sweats, leggings, & big giant tee shirts. 😂 I was sick throughout my whole pregnancy so I didn't feel like dressing nice. But you're looking so good Clare! Your bump is soooooooo adorable. ❤️Can't wait to see the little creation you & Ali had made!
Same! I had twin boys my first pregnancy, and a girl my second. Both times i wore leggings, sweats, and big tees/sweaters (both winter pregnancies, even though most of it felt like summer in the tropics! LOL)
Hey Claire just found a dress you might like it’s called maternity khaki frill midi dress, on river island, it’s 100% cotton so it should be super comfy and it’s good for the environment as you said, it’s khaki green, which would look really good on you, it’s not too showy around the chest, it’s just above the knees, where you said it would suit you, and it’s only £25! Clare! You definitely have cool undertones, so it's either gonna be summer or winter. I'm not sure how red hair plays into this (if it's your natural), but I think you could either be Light summer or more likely Clear Winter (especially if your real hair color is more brown then red or dark red). Clear winter colors look very well on you - only a few people can wear colors like that and they definitely suit you! Hope this helps! :)

Mad props to you for being so open about something so sensitive to you. As a mum of a 2 yr old, I still have that fear and am coming to terms with it being the normal amount of worry that parents have for their kids. The same level of worry that makes you sickly scared and also so angry when they do something silly and almost hurt themselves. It made me appreciate my own parents and the level of concern they had for me as a child. Parenthood is a lifelong wild ride. You may not be holding your son in your arms yet but you are already a mother. Even if things don't go to plan, you still deserve to know and remember this special time that you're spending growing and chilling with your little dude ❤️

I remember watching one of your older videos and then I kept watching and saw one of the videos of you explaining you don't want kids and etc. As I grew older watching your videos and seeing your prospective on relationships and your personal issues growth inspired me. I struggled with not great parents and not so great social enviromint at school. When watcing your videos(and other stong female youtubers) and my own struggles helped me except that everyone grows and changes differently and you have to love and cheirsh the small things in life. Though I personally am to young right now to have kids, I still have some more issues within myself to heal from, but I do feel less crazy for feeling a conflict on problems that others mat see differently then me. So, thank you for being one of my strong female role models for me!

I'm so happy for Clare and Ali, Clare is absolutely gorgeous and she has such a radiant pregnancy glow as well. I discovered this channel years ago but started watching more in the past year and a bit and watching Clare develop more into this absolutely amazing and inspiring woman has been such an amazing influence, I have PCOS and a few other severe health problems that unfortunately has meant at 21 I've had to make the tough decision that I will never be able to carry a child of my own in fear of my health problems being passed down even though growing up I was sure on wanting my own biological children. Although I won't be carrying my own child/children watching Clare being so open with at first not wanting kids and her fears of childbirth, caring for a child and whether she'd be a good mother or if she was ready for a child, to now seeing how excited she is now for the life her and Ali have created is so heart warming and I'm sure there's still underlying fears or worries there of course but watching this channel for a year, seeing how she genuinely cares and adores her family, her pets and everyone in this community I can tell she'll be an amazing mum alongside Ali being the amazing husband he is and soon to be dad they're going to do amazing
To Clare and Ali: It may not always seem easy, there will be tears, anger, laughs and lessons and you may not feel confident in yourself or in your parenting style all the time but just know that no matter what happens you'll always have each other for support and at the end of the day there is no "correct" way to parent, as you raise your baby boy to become who he will become and as he learns and grows, you'll learn with him. It's one step at a time but you're both amazing and have such open and pure acceptance of everyone no matter what. Never let a day end in anger or sadness but instead with a hug or an "I love you" and remember that in the end you have each other, you have your families who love and support you and you both have amazing communities who will always care and support you. Hey, if you're not planning on having *anymore kids any time soon, probably donating your outfits to friends, family, or even woman based charaties/shelters might be a good home for them *after you give birth-- Since your initial concerns was that you'd only need for a few more months + post-partum. You don't have to if it makes you feel uncomfortable, but it's an option.

So like, Clare's pregnant, UA-cam has been recommending me mommy/pregnancy channels (not sure why, but I role with it because babies are cute--That behavior makes it worse btw, because now my algorithm is screwed up), and for the past few months I've just been having the urge to be pregnant😭

I know the fear of something happening, I know that's real and the fear to comming back to a place with everything is set up for a baby that will not be there.. but something I learned after I gave birth to my daugther (she was born without any complications and is a now 1 1/2 year old), is that even in the case of something happening she existed in me, she is and was real even inside my bump. And there's nothing to hide of that, and nothing to forget. The changes in our bodies were, and still are, real. The love we felt and feel for our babies before they born is real.. and that's why even in a sad place (that saddly can happen) you will come back to this memories later on, of felling them alive inside us, of expecting them with so much love, and with everyone aound us loving them aswell.. Still, is beautifull to see you so happy Clare! and I wish for you a great delivey and life..

I love how you let us all take this journey with you. I was never able to have children and always wanted many of them. For so many years I smiled and was there for everyone that was pregnant while it hurt inside that it wasn't me. I had to work through my feelings at my own pace. Be picky about fast fashion 👏👏👏 I’m finally learning to be picky about the clothes I buy and it means I actually wear them! Even if you love to shop, I’d recommend learning how to style yourself and know your colors/styles before buying clothing.
It has saved me so much time and money.
When I still feel like shopping, I enjoy window shopping or researching to find the best of the things I need in my price range. 😄
Just a hot tip, if you happen to see this Clare - the best way to find your color palette is either a written quiz and a mirror or a look through your favorite clothing.
Method one doesn’t have the variation of lighting that a filter will take into consideration.
And method two, which I feel like is the most reliable, relies on the clothes you buy, keep, and wear. The clothes we wear regularly tend to compliment us! Especially in color and shape.
I am a deep autumn, and those royal gem colors that you were mentioning are the ones I wear continually.
I’d say you could be an autumn with your red hair and with platinum or blonde - a winter. The fact that your hair color changes can make it more confusing, but also more fun!

I’m so glad you found a few things you like that make you feel nice. I really really struggled mentally with shopping for maternity clothes with all my pregnancies. It made me feel so sad so it makes me so happy to see you be more successful with it. Also you look beautiful. The second dress and the last dress were my favorite.
