With all the problems with invasive species, especially in FL, I don't understand why any gov't agency would allow such an import into the US. It's beyond baffling to me!
I agree 💯. The owner is young & ignorant. This invasive species will escape again. Next time it will probably be a PREGNANT female, then they'll be. ALL over Florida.
Why even allow private ownership of invasive species?!? Surely the US has enough already to deal with (e.g. hogs, pythons, iguanas, asian carp, snakehead, etc)!
That was cool. Different for sure. Him getting out the way he did is why you should have double gates when owning certain animals. One you walk through and close before you open the one into their enclosure. Glad you caught him so they didn't have to put him down..
This is great that I came across your channel. I was a big fan of your IG page but have since banned myself from social media. Hope your boys are doing good.
@@ItsAWildLife1because they are extremely important for the environment and it’s natural homeostasis. That is their home and they deserve to be there too. They are what’s called a keystone species. It has been proven that killing them and lowering their numbers has had a significant negative impact on their natural environment. I’m not anti hunting, I’m anti destroying environmental homeostasis. Animals were here before us and they will be here far long after we are gone.
I used to have a pair when I was a kid. They really are not that smart. They are scared of everything. They have eating mode and flight mode. I'm pretty sure they need to smoke a joint and chill.
