Hello dear thanks for this video but I have a question, so while I was applying for my student visa I was engaged so I wrote it on my sop that I had a fiance, but 3months after my application we did court marriage, with the plan of doing church wedding and trad after school and that was when my visa came out as well. so , while in school I was still using my my father’s name and everything, but I’m done with school now. I want to apply for my PGWP. And also use it to apply work permit for my hubby cox he is still in Nigeria, but my question is should I choose the option of being married,/common-law what are the requirements they would ask from, I don’t know if choosing never/single would have a bad impact on his application if I want to apply spousal open work permit for him after getting my PGWP. And also bear in mind he has a VV application running we are still waiting for decision though. Please what do you think would be the best thing to do.
Hello Prisca, You are now married and this should be reflected in your new application. Note that your registry certificate is what IRCC recognizes. Furthermore, should your study not be a masters or phd program, your spouse might not be eligible for open work permit considering government updates.
