Definitely appreciate the content but this timeline is wildly optimistic if someone is looking into doing PL. It took me almost 30 days just to get samples from 3 different suppliers. 2 weeks for contracts to be drafted and signed/stamped. Another 30 days to have my product manufactured. Another 40-60 days for Ocean Freight. Just in case anyone needs a bit of a reality check.

@Josh, great video but you should state that some categories in JS do not exist or match for Amz Canada for your Canadian viewers.
It is hard for Canadians to use the tool if they're trying to sell in Can or Can + US because the products may have different sales analytics. This will save some money and time for people getting started. You should maybe make a video using H10 if possible, even if you prefer JS.

No problem! Yes, I always take my own photos. Unless you're listing your product on an existing listing, you'll be required to upload at least one photo.

My attorney put the wrong mark on the Brand name when they did trademark application and I want to change the name. Is there a way to do that and will it affect my reviews or ranking? Another database I wish I could have is, one that shows you new products released every day/week (no later than a month); this way, you'll get first pick of products to brand and sell on Amazon.
See....any bet the real databases that you can "think" of are the ones not available mainstream cause it'd actually work where the very few or secret owners/users won't tell or want you to know about (more competition for them).

At what point do you get your GS1 barcode and then Generate from Amazon the barcode that you will send to your supplier across seas for them to then put on your products.

Great video Josh! Quick question, would you recommend me to ship directly from supplier to amz? I'm starting off with a small budget which means I'm not gonna be branding it or creating a trademark just yet. I will let amazon handle the logistics so I don't really see the point in having to pay the shipping twice (from supplier to me, from me to amz). I know there is risk and I know you can't guarantee anything but it would be great to hear your input! Thank you for helping fellow sellers!
Hey Filip, this is a great question. If you’re planning on going this route, I’d pay for a 3rd party inspection of your goods just to ensure quality assurance. A lot of people send straight to Amazon so it’s not like this is a bad idea.
I started off by first sending to me and then to Amazon but that’s only because I choose to differentiate myself from my competition by adding extra goodies to my product.
Something I’d do is once your goods get to an FBA warehouse and are available to sell, place and order and experience what your customers are experiencing, it’s a huge insight on how you can improve your business processes.

Yes, your brand application will be rejected. It's the #1 reason why people get rejected.
Im trying to be an Amazon seller I am an international seller I chose unique products to buy so I could not sell them under anyone else's listing so to sell them I heard about private labeling so kinda confused with what to do. Looking to trademark with the uspto office but I'm not sure if that's acceptable. I have MS so I really don't have all that money to hire a lawyer could I get a relative who lives in the US to file my trademark in their name? Confused not sure what to do.
Thanks for the video! I have 8 keywords I plan to use with about 11k total search volume. However, the 90-day trend across the keywords is trending -30% to -75%, should I be concerned about launching this product? It is not a seasonal item
Hey matt based on your context seems like you have JS or Helium 10. If your item isn’t seasonal and your google trend average is around the 50+ bench mark for the entire year then I think you have a potentially good product on your hand.
Now it’s a matter of testing those 8 keywords in campaigns separated into Broad, Exact, and Phrase match type and gathering data.
In the meantime while those campaigns are running you the helium 10 extension to find what other keywords your competitors are using.

Does FBA require ship and sold by Amazon? If that is true, then when customers return the product, do they send to Amazon or to owner? What is it called when it is shipped by Amazon and sold by owner?
I know this is somewhat off topic, but I have a question about product development since that's what stage I'm in. All the specs of my hand drawn custom product are ready to go and I'm ready to start reaching out to suppliers and ordering samples. The only problem, is a hand drawn sketch won't get me very far. What are the next steps in order to create a 3d render of my product? I have no experience with that and am just wondering if there's an easier way so the final samples are done correctly. This is a completely custom product designed by me. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you'll need a CPC or at least a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Ask your supplier for it or join our Patreon group where I can help you one on one to find a lab to do this work

That would be amazing. The difficult part would be gathering data from an external source that predicts successful Amazon products.
