    For some reason this is very satisfying to watch. I am renting pretty much the same set up to clear up a hill in my backyard and like to learn some before going at it.
    On this job it must be real concerning having both a road and walkway so close to where you are cutting. That girl that walked by was definitely in the danger zone.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 роки тому

      You definitely have to be careful for sure. If I'm next to a road like this I'll typically turn off the high flow. This makes the blades spin slower and not throw stuff as bad.

    That John Deere cutter dose fantastic job, chopping that brush and weeds down. Nothing Runs like a Deere, I personally owned a John Deere 310A it was fantastic h ok e, I put over 10,000 hour on it digging water mains and sewer line. When I work heavy Construction I ran a John Deere 500c it was a digging machine, never had issue with brake downs, ran that several years.

    As you hit the areas that have a lot of debris/dirt/stuff pop up, it would be great 👍 to have a little commentary as we watch what you hit. Or, why you leave certain parts of the lot uncut. To us it all looks like weeds or scrub brush that should be chopped down. Such as around 21:30, you left other patches unmowed that looked like that, but took that one down. At least it seemed like it. Just a suggestion.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 роки тому

      Thanks for the suggestion! At 21:30 there is a stump hidden in those bushes so I can really cut it all the way down, just have to cut around and on top of it.

    Just a thought, could you put wheels on the front corners of the bush hog to help stop some of the scalping and to save damage to the blades.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 роки тому +1

      Could but I don't know how really that would work to get them mounted. Damage to the blades is inevitable and they're not that expensive to replace, especially compared to teeth on a mulcher.

    I always watch these and think “that’s not the way I’d do it”, having zero seat time on a track loader with a brush cutter. I’m thinking why wouldn’t you just long run side hill on that hill halfway through the video rather than run your blades in the dirt so many times. I’m sure there is a good reason since everyone seems to do it the way you did.
