i don't understand why people think ravenclaw and hufflepuff are the two "weak" and "unwanted" houses. i mean sure the movies especially put a lot of emphasis on just gryffindor and slytherin, but hufflepuff and ravenclaw house have their own special histories and signifigances as well...
I think that Dumbledore should have been a Ravenclaw. Of course, he did some brave acts, but other Ravenclaws did so, too (e. g. Luna Lovegood). His main trait never was his bravery, but his wits and intelligence to the level of being a total mastermind and one of the most important "academics" in the wizarding world. He also fought some fights for himself like the duel with Grindelwald and the time when he faced Voldemort in the 5th book, but most of the time, he was acting from the background, creating the strategy for the people in the front line. I think that this is way more of a Ravenclaw approach than a Gryffindor approach. Also his friendship with Grindelwald and his strive for what he thought was the "greater good" which resulted out of some kind of "entitlement through knowledge" seems to be more of a Ravenclaw flaw than a Gryffindor flaw. It's pretty close to the weakness that made Voldemort influence Quirrell who was a Ravenclaw.
Ramcharan Arya True, but, it’s more about what the student values than the traits they have. Think about Neville, Peter Pettigrew, and Hermione. Hermione was one of the most intelligent characters in the entire Harry Potter series and yet, she was sorted into Gryffindor, not Ravenclaw. Neville and Peter weren’t brave from the start, but they both wanted to be brave more than anything else. I’m a Ravenclaw myself, and I both have and value Ravenclaw traits.
Crazy Potterhead maybe because Hermione was more a courageous mudblood rather than having a sense of humor like Ron and his brothers obviously have to go along with her intelligence.
Forever Humble Possibly, it just comes down to values. Dumbledore is one of the wisest and intelligent wizards, but since he values bravery more, he’s in Gryffindor. Also, some Ravenclaws are witty. Hermione’s very logic as well, while Ravenclaws are more open-minded.

Simply put, they do their own thinking for them and see things critically, rather than just blindly following a leader figure like Harry or Dumbledore or something like that. Instead, they are probably more likely to saw above the situation like the eagle mascot, and look at it from all different angles and nuances. I also think that it is possible that, while a Ravenclaw may fight in the battle of Hogwarts, they are not going to have a slavish devotion to Hogwarts like people from other houses might do. I really enjoy your videos, but I feel sometimes you could trim a bit of it away. Like when you talked about Flitwick. He was a master of charms and charms was the form of magic that he was best at like when he set up the defenses of the battle of Hogwarts the Battle of Hogwarts defenses which were charms which he was best at. Other than that great stuff.
I feel like Snape should of been in Ravenclaw. I mean he created his own potion book. A book that was way more easier to understand. And more affective in learning spells and potions. And Snape created his own spells in the book. And also giving himself the name The Half Blood Prince. That sounds like a Ravenclaw to me.
Slytherin just made more since for the movies idk about the books I didn’t read them but him being head of slytherin was perfect again for movies w/ his dark cloak and attitude it made him look like an enemy, the bad guy. I feel like him being ravenclaw which your right he could be more kinda would mess up the story since in the movies again idk about the books didn’t read them. There pretty much were zero notable ravenclaw actors so they had to make him slytherin.
A proud Ravenclaw here. Always wanted to talk to the grey lady about history, old magic, rare artifacts, rare books and secret libraries hidden across the Wizarding World.
Got a question for you. We talk about Tom Riddle/Voldemort being the heir of Slytherin and being the last known descendant of Salazar Slytherin. I’ve been wondering do the other founders of Hogwarts have their own heirs living today? I know there was Helena Ravenclaw, daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw but she’s the only descendant of another Hogwarts founder that I’ve been able to find other than Voldemort.
I know that Helga Hufflepuff had living descendants… At least in the 1940s with heaps of bar Smith. I wonder if Rowena Ravenclaw had other children? We are not told, but it wouldn't surprise me if she did. And if that's the case, she probably does have living areas. I wonder if Goldrick Gryffindor had the time to get married?
These are really cool. Obviously it might be a bit too judgemental of characters, but what about doing top 5s based on each house's defining character trait? I.e. Top 5 most brave Gryffindors, top 5 most loyal Hufflepuffs, Top 5 Smartest Ravenclaws, and Top 5 most ambitious Slytherins or similar? (or just top 5 of everyone of the character traits associated with any house). Or a top 5 of people that had strong tendencies towards other houses (like Percy's ambition for example, Peter's cunning and self-preservation etc)
Yeah, that would be fun. I have written about that to myself. Here's what I think. Flitwick and sprout - get along like a house on fire. Flitwick and Cybill - well I have actually shipped them before. So I think I'll just leave it there. Flitwick and Snape - fight like cat and dog. Flitwick and McGonagle - would be okay, but I think sometimes McGonagle and her unyielding sternness would probably sometimes rub Flitwick up the wrong way and there would be a little bit of friction there. Flitwick and Dumbledore - I get the feeling that Flitwick, being a raven claw, would be able to see right through Dumbledore and his chest games, and his Machiavellian manipulation of people. I get the feeling that Flitwick would hate Dumbledore for it, but it would not necessarily break out into open hostility. Rather, Flitwick would be coldly civil to Dumbledore, but that hatred of Dumbledore because he can see right through him and it is a wake up to him would fester. Also, Flitwick would probably sense that Dumbledore knew something about civil even if he didn't know what Dumbledore knew, and would resent Dumbledore for not being honest and open with civil about it. I think there would be other things that Flitwick would resent that Dumbledore has done as well. Even perhaps hiring Remus Lupin… Not necessarily because he is a werewolf, but because he is a werewolf being hired in a position that Dumbledore knows is cursed therefore Remus would have trouble getting a job once the cursor to a cold. I don't think that would please Flitwick all that much. Flitwick and Lupin - once again, get along like a house on fire. I know this is very Flitwick centric, but he is the main character in my head, so therefore the staffroom interactions I imagine usually involve him. Oh and I forgot to mention… I think Flitwick, once again being a raven claw, would have a hunch that something was "off" about the fake moody as well. No doubt, in my mind he may even try and warn Dumbledore and Dumbledore in typical Dumbledore fashion wouldn't listen because Dumbledore always knew best right? Just another thing Flitwick could resent Dumbledore about. It's really interesting, just to see this into personal stuff going on. It would be nice to see some interpersonal conflict between Dumbledore and Flitwick and to see that Flitwick doesn't necessarily take everything that Dumbledore does and says as gospel or as wonderful, doesn't necessarily believe that Dumbledore is Mr wonderful either, but is a "good guy" and wants nothing to do with Voldemort either.
Was expecting to see kingsley shacklebolt on this list. Considering he was tasked with protecting the muggle prime minister, seems like he would be a powerful Ravenclaw and also became minister of magic
Stag - Harry potter Jack Russel Terrier - Ron Weasley Otter - Hermione Granger Doe - Snape Horse - Ginny Weasley Hare - Luna Lovegood Phoenix - Albus Dumbledore Peacock - Draco Malfoy
Most Powerful Ravenclaws in History: So we are startling the list with Luna Lovegood and Cho Chang, because Rowling barely mentions anyone outside of Gryffindors and Slytherins
Cho Chang literally does nothing in Harry Potter except for cry over Cedric and snog Harry whilst crying over Cedric and be apologetic to Harry about Cedric.
Hi, would you mind if I use the part of this videos from 0:24-0:29 where you are quoting the Sorting Hat? I am looking for some samples and I found what I needed in your movie.

The diadem was not hidden in Albania, the country near to Greece! Rowena Ravenclaw was born at Glen, Scotland She was a Scottish witch. UK consists by Britain and Northern Ireland Britain consists by three regions: Scotland 🏴 England 🏴 Wales 🏴 Nowadays they are all speaking English but each region has its individual language! In Scottish language the region Scotland is called Alba/Albain It’s like Greece. To English speakers we are Greece but in Greek we are called Hellàs! Helena Ravenclaw hide the diadem in a forest in Albain(Scotland) the birthplace of her and her mother Rowena, not in the country Albania! Ravenclaw is probably the most interesting House along with Slytherin, but yet is the most underrated! JK Rowling put in the sky Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses and she dammed Ravenclaw... Ravenclaw is not just dry knowledge! Hermione has huge amount of knowledge and she isn’t a Ravenclaw! Ravenclaw is about wisdom! Not just knowledge! Ravenclaws have passion for learning! They are free spirits and they think outside the box! They are innovative, explorers, weirdos some times but they have open minds! That’s why Luna is a Ravenclaw and not Hermione! Ravenclaw is the most noble House! Gryffindor and Hufflepuff...everyone could be brave and loyal! Ravenclaws also fought great at the Battle of Hogwarts, Slytherins also are loyal friends (even their friend was Voldemort) but still they were loyal to him. Also, both Ravenclaws worked hard to achieve knowledge and Slytherins worked hard to achieve power! Bravery and hard working is not a big thing! Everyone can be loyal or ward worker! But no one can be so determined and cunning as a Slytherin, and no one can pretend to be free spirit, or thing like a Ravenclaw! The greatest Houses in Hogwarts are Ravenclaw and Slytherin! And our emblem is an EAGLE 🦅 not a raven! Jesus WB...you fucked up everything! 99/100 merchandise products are wrong! 🦅💙🦅💙🦅💙🦅 An eagle soars where others cannot climb!
Although there are some really powerful names I actually feel like ravenclaw is in his importance beside of ms ravenclaw herself the last and least important one. Especially for the Harry Potter main story Cedric and in the last part the whole house are way more important. And also noticeable Newt was also a hufflepuff but I really like flitwick
It's a similar discussion for Hermione as well (though Dumbledore is way more powerful and smarter than her). They are very intelligent wizards, but their bravery surpasses their intelligence. So they are placed in Gryffindor!
I have a general question . I've read the books and don't remeber most of this info being mentioned in them. Are all these stories and facts from the author themselg or spin off games and stories Rowling didn't write?
Can you talk about all the random Wizards and witches in all the four houses from Colin creevey Cho Chang Ernie Macmillan Justin Fletcher and Roger Davis?
How old was Ignatia wildsmith when she started at Hogwarts? Also what inuniverse explanation is there for flitwick's elderly physical appearance in the early Harry potter films, compared to his younger appearance in the later films?
I think raven claws are capable of being kind. If you observe Filius Flitwick closely, you will see, he comes across to me as a very kind individual. I think it is highly possible. I think kindness is one of those things that is capable of transcending house.
If Helena Ravenclaw fled Hogwarts with the ‘Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw’ and was found and killed in Albania by the Bloody Baron when she rejected him, how did the Diadem end back up in the Hogwarts Room of Requirement when Harry went looking for it as a Horcrux? Did Helena return it as a ghost? I would think ghosts wouldn’t have that ability. Did Voldemort happen to run across it while exiled to Albania after 1st Wizdaring War? This might be a good idea for a video.
I have a question - If Ignatia Wildsmithwas (number 4) born in the year 1227, why did she start school in the year 1938 (at the age of 711 yrs)? Yes, at around 3:56 minutes, he says so himself. :)
The practical answer is that the new director had never read the books. The headcanon answer most of us go with is that he did a bit of a makeover when Hogwarts was hosting the Triwizard Tournament, as many things and people did (Filch's weird jacket and fancy jog, anyone?). When he like his new appearance, he just stuck with it.

does rowena ravenclaw count? she was never actually IN the house..
Yes .
But wasn't she a RAVENCLAW?! 😏
WHAT ABOUT LUNA AND CHO?! Why didn’t you include them?! Luna fought tons. Ollivander came on the list and Luna and cho didn’t?! That’s messed up.
Honestly Cho really didn't do anything to be on that list, I agree on Luna though
Lumos_vs_Nox that’s true
Cho doesnt really fit in this list, i agree with luna tho
Luna could be below all these. She has to be in top 10
A proud Ravenclaw here. Always wanted to talk to the grey lady about history, old magic, rare artifacts, rare books and secret libraries hidden across the Wizarding World.
Me: Watches one Harry Potter video
UA-cam: yOuR lEtTeR hAs ArRiVeD!
I wonder if Goldrick Gryffindor had the time to get married?
i'm 30% ravenclaw and 31% hufflepuff💙💛 i love these vids!
Remaining 39%?
@@suprememe1903 muggle 😜
I’m a raven claw but my personality relates to both hufflepuff and raven claw
Your voice is very soothing.I just hope you make longer videos
Could you make a video on the most powerful wizards in Harry's year at Hogwarts
Great video!!
I have a question! Can one of your videos be about the most powerful field of magic? (Potions, dark arts, defense against the dark arts, charms, etc)
Every Ravencalw when they read the title:
Me.

I still think Remus Lupin should have been a Hufflepuff. To me, he displayed so many of their qualities.
How about a video about how the professors casually interact with each other in the staffroom? :D just a fun thought
I am a Ravenclaw.
I am so smart. SMRT!
big brain time
Sound like Trump 😂
Good Video!
Ignatia Wildsmith was born in 1227 but started Hogwarts in 1938? Did you mean 1238?
Ya I saw that too not sure what’s going on there
Was expecting to see kingsley shacklebolt on this list. Considering he was tasked with protecting the muggle prime minister, seems like he would be a powerful Ravenclaw and also became minister of magic
Hey what are all known patronus of all Harry Potter characters or the best guess of their patronus.
Stag - Harry potter
Jack Russel Terrier - Ron Weasley
Otter - Hermione Granger
Doe - Snape
Horse - Ginny Weasley
Hare - Luna Lovegood
Phoenix - Albus Dumbledore
Peacock - Draco Malfoy
Sarbari Chanda Doe for Lily and Stag for James too
I’m not sure but I think rufous scrimgour *or whatever the minister after fudge was called* was a ravenclaw
CURLY CAF Gryffindor
@CURLY CAF it was in most powerful aurors.
Gryffindor’s animal isn’t a Griffin
Ravenclaw’s animal isn’t a Raven
Most Powerful Ravenclaws in History: So we are startling the list with Luna Lovegood and Cho Chang, because Rowling barely mentions anyone outside of Gryffindors and Slytherins
Cho Chang literally does nothing in Harry Potter except for cry over Cedric and snog Harry whilst crying over Cedric and be apologetic to Harry about Cedric.
@@JamesJL ikr its annoyinf

I really love Prof. Flitwick. Even though I'm only playing Hogwarts Mystery, he is so kind :'>
1.Rowena Ravenclaw
2.Barty Crouch Jr
3.Filius Flitwick
4.Garrick Ollivander
5.Cho Chang
“Hufflepuff and Gryffindor gets all the glory”
Everyone: *laughs because he said Hufflepuff*
Yeah when did hufflepuff get the glory?
Ikr Slytherin and Gryffindor are the only ones that are valued and hufflepuff and raven claw don’t even exist to some people
Hi, would you mind if I use the part of this videos from 0:24-0:29 where you are quoting the Sorting Hat? I am looking for some samples and I found what I needed in your movie.
Gryffindor playing against Hufflepuff: good luck
Gryffindor playing against Ravenclaw: good luck
Hufflepuff playing against Ravenclaw: good luck
Hufflepuff playing against Gryffindor: good luck
Slytherin playing against any house: I’m gonna push you off ya broom and we gonna win so go home ya gonna lose
No matter what I do I always get sorted to this house. Hello R'claws! 🦅
The diadem was not hidden in Albania, the country near to Greece!
Rowena Ravenclaw was born at Glen, Scotland
She was a Scottish witch.
UK consists by Britain and Northern Ireland
Britain consists by three regions:
Scotland 🏴
England 🏴
Wales 🏴
Nowadays they are all speaking English but each region has its individual language!
In Scottish language the region Scotland is called Alba/Albain
It’s like Greece.
🦅💙🦅💙🦅💙🦅
An eagle soars where others cannot climb!
Cho just for thumbnail!! nice choise👍🏻👍🏻
Why dont they make Side story of HP series, like LOTR with the Hobbit. It should be Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff main story.
I wish that they had a more indepth sorting. I'm either Griffindor or Ravenclaw. Both are super cool!
What’s the name of the instrument in the background music for this video?
There’s literally only like 7 Ravenclaws😭🤦♀️
Ravenclaws that are mentioned
Harry Potter Theory.
This is a really good video.
I'm a huge fan of Ravenclaw.
Thank you
what if the elder wand was a horcrux would it ever obey anyone except the owner that made the horcrux .
@16bit Classics lol
In what. Movei is this scene from I just can't remember seeing. It. 7:45
Anyone else find it weird that dumbledore wasn’t in race claw?
No, he is one of the more brave people in Hogwarts.
It's a similar discussion for Hermione as well (though Dumbledore is way more powerful and smarter than her). They are very intelligent wizards, but their bravery surpasses their intelligence. So they are placed in Gryffindor!
“Aspirations for power” is a very wordy way to say ambitious.
When you do not put Luna on this list
True, Luna is a genius, she sees things most others do not, id say even smarter than Hermione
@@Wildboy789789 probably because they exclude her from the main characters
@@Wildboy789789 Still not in the top 5 in my opinion.
@@Nico-wg5jo HOW DARE YOU 😡😡😡😡I'm not ravenclaw I'm a slitheran but I loveeeeeeee her
I have a general question . I've read the books and don't remeber most of this info being mentioned in them. Are all these stories and facts from the author themselg or spin off games and stories Rowling didn't write?
Ignatia wildsmith was born in 1227 but started hogwarts in 1938?.
My friends say I'm a Ravenclaw (WHICH I LIKED CAUSE I WOULD LOVE TO BE SORTED INTO RAVENCLAW MOST) But the Pottermore test gave me Gryffindor--
I'm a proud ravenclaw member. My patronus is a bull mastiff, and my wand is a 13" Elmwood with dragon heartstring core. Unyielding flexibility.
Can you talk about all the random Wizards and witches in all the four houses from Colin creevey Cho Chang Ernie Macmillan Justin Fletcher and Roger Davis?
0:34 hufflepuffs are also particularly good FINDers
How old was Ignatia wildsmith when she started at Hogwarts?
Also what inuniverse explanation is there for flitwick's elderly physical appearance in the early Harry potter films, compared to his younger appearance in the later films?
Third love your vids so much ♡♡
My fave part about roena is that she was already smart so she made a charm to make herself smarter. That's like creating cheat codes your body.
5:01 is that Hogwart Mystery?I play that game and it is soooooooo fun!Of course Rowena Ravenclaw is the best witch because she create Ravenclaw 😂
I definitely wish ravenclaw got more love and we need an anime series about these powerful witches and wizards
You showed Cho Cheng. Where is she?
I’m new to the Harry Potter series, but I’m loving it so fast! Is there a house that values intelligence, then kindness right after?
I think raven claws are capable of being kind. If you observe Filius Flitwick closely, you will see, he comes across to me as a very kind individual. I think it is highly possible. I think kindness is one of those things that is capable of transcending house.
Wizards and witches do have a thing for living for a very long time
If Helena Ravenclaw fled Hogwarts with the ‘Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw’ and was found and killed in Albania by the Bloody Baron when she rejected him, how did the Diadem end back up in the Hogwarts Room of Requirement when Harry went looking for it as a Horcrux? Did Helena return it as a ghost? I would think ghosts wouldn’t have that ability. Did Voldemort happen to run across it while exiled to Albania after 1st Wizdaring War? This might be a good idea for a video.
Because voldemort put it there
Thank you for making me feel better about being a Ravenclaw
Come on! We are the smartest of all. We should be proud of ourselves! We don't need validation to feel good about ourselves! Ravenclaws are 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
I love your videos it helps me understand so much better!
Helena Ravenclaw is great in Trainspotting. 😉
Where do you get all this information?
Please explain to me how ignatia wildsmith was born in 1226, died in 1320 and attended hogwarts in 1938. I’m seriously confused
I have a question - If Ignatia Wildsmithwas (number 4) born in the year 1227, why did she start school in the year 1938 (at the age of 711 yrs)? Yes, at around 3:56 minutes, he says so himself. :)
I’ve got a question how come professor flitwick looked so different in the early Harry potters then he did compared to him in the later ones
He charmed himself lol
Harry Potter theory can we have a video on the theory of filch and madam pince relationship mentioned by Harry in the half blood prince
Lol yes good idea !🤣😂👏👏
