Note that the NUX NMT-1 will be available for just $45 street price and likely somewhere near £40.00 for the UK and available in a month or two through NUX distribution. Recommended!
These newer 'budget' gear companies have been great for musicians. The innovation, price and quality are far superior than the cheaper stuff that was available when I was a new and broke guitar player in the 90s. These tools make life easier on stage, in the studio and at home. Thanks for the great overview and the consistent quality content. 🤘🏼
Thanks and appreciated that you watch this stuff. I don't really know of another device with these features and for gigs etc. my bet is that it would save many moments where you wonder exactly what is the problem :) Have a great new year too.
Thanks Tony, You would also be able to test your pedal board signal path. By breaking your chain and using the tuner you could determine if the guitar signal is getting to a certain pedal. This would be convient as it doesnt need to be pluged in to the power to test.
I would have additionally loved a continuity and resistance tester with leads to test speakers, fuses, pickups, etc. Or how about just a little general purpose multimeter with tuner and cable testing ports?
Well, I don't know, you can end up with literally a multimeter (you know what I mean). But I never saw a tuner like this before. Even in the studio I had to go get a cable tester when we reworked the building and what a pain it was. I wish I had this at the time but there you go... thanks for watching.
Wow this is super useful but I can't find these in Australia. I was fumbling about today trying to figure out what's causing my volume drop out on my pedal board and suspected a patch cable and changed it... worked great again for a while... then it came back again... changed a suspect pedal, worked great.... then came back again and round and round we go. This would make it a lot easier to figure out and isolate potential causes and stop messing around. Great video! thanks!
They are not available for about 30-60 days and from the NUX distributors etc. Yes I feel your pain - it can be reall aggro for sure. I get it on occasion in the studio, but I'm not in the same situation with the live gigs etc. Thanks fo the info and for watching.
I am glad you brought this to our attention, it looks super handy. I built a dedicated 9v voltage and current meter a while ago, and use it all the time. Actually, I want one more function. I want to know the resistance of the pickups.
Great point. I had the Orange one and did review it way back... here: ua-cam.com/video/MH1GcwLK8rw/v-deo.html and thanks for watching. Good comment but I'm not so sure NUX will make one of those.
You must be the first UK reviwer on this handy device, only problem is that it's so new you can't buy one! If/when they become avialable (probably in 2024) how much will it be? Keep hold of this one Tony, it is at the moment the only one in the country. Hope you are keep well
Ha good question... I never asked and assumed it was on the site... I'll look for the answer and fix it to the video... it worked pretty good too. :) Thanks...
Good point - I have to say I did not try that as a test, but I'll take another look at that and try to report back in a day or so. Well spotted and thanks for watching. Have a great new year too.
Good value except I like the poly tune where it displays tunings of all strings at the same time (while muting) _ good for checking on gigs. The other features are great !

Any time! I think its pretty unique... I certainly have not seen another like that. Thanks for watching.

Good point! And hey, thanks for watching.
Definitely a valuable device to have. I hope it's affordable, I'd like to pick one up. Great Review...Thanks
$45... and somewhere like that in GBP £... available 30-60 days...

If you stuck a guitar lead in both jacks, I'm sure you could use their tips to read continuity.
Good test, review, and interesting product!
Glad you liked it! I do too! and thanks for watching...

@@tonymckenzieofficial oh ok, great... might be able to get it in the near future then... thanks!

Good question... Well you never know with NU>X because they are a maker and designer who knows what could be added. Thanks for watching.
Hi Tony, will you be making an in depth video for the Fender Tone Master Pro modeler? :)
Saturday... 6:00 PM UK time, but it will be added to later as .. well watch the review and be surprised... I was.
I'd like to have a tube tester.
Orange used to offer one, but no longer.
Come on NUX, offer a tube tester.

Does the second 1/4” serve as a through so it can be used on a pedal board when in tuner mode?

Ah but the Polytune is up to THREE times the price! ... is it REALLY worth the difference? Thanks for watching...
I like the big display, so get one.
I think its a very useful device... and thanks for watching.
I think this product is 50% there. If only it had a tone generator, or even a guitar loop test sample built in. And maybe a 9V battery tester.
Ha well you can't have EVERYTHING :) but it is a good device and I don't really know another that does it... thanks.

Ah that tingling feeling... depends who you are ;-) Thanks.

Don't understand this... thanks
