Fantastic video! Great photography and piloting. Great entertainment.
Love your channel. Entertainment factor is off the charts. I don’t even fly rc planes but I dig your videos.
Love your shows Brian. Thank you for producing them!!!!!
Brian I really did enjoy your video you and camera crew never ever disappoints. You are really a good pilot you have really improved on your pilot skills
Been using ICharger for 10 years, good stuff. Progressive RC has some nice fused parallel charge/balance boards that last as well. Great content as always Crew!
yeah I have been using my Revolectrix powerlab 6 from Progressive RC (buddyrc) for many many years. I still use it nearly as much as I use my newer S1400 smart charger
That's why I like 8mm bullet connectors, it's so easy to charge them as single 6S or 4S packs, but it's very easy to connect them in serial or parallel for 8S or 12S applications without needing another type of connector or special chargers.
Wow, too fast for me 😂 Great flying job! I would have had that plane in a million pieces in seconds
Thank goodness for Spektrum chargers and parallel adapters! Damn impressive performance, though!
thats true you can just plug a smart parallel charge board into a smart charger. Joshua Bardwell Strix ultimate is what I use in combination with S1400 smart charger .. works a treat.
@@mattgohio I haven't tried JB's charge board... but will take a look.. Thanks! As is... I found the best/easiest way to prevent batteries from slipping around under the straps is to simply wrap a rubber band around each end of the battery.... which works out fantastic because I just rubberband pairs of batteries together and leave 'em that way, so its like handling one battery. Pop the parallel adapter off and plug each battery into its own channel of my smart charger and that's it, done.
That is one sweet looking airplane. I think I will make this my first EDF.
That thing hauls 🫏!!!
Can't wait for you to do the Horizon Hobby SR-71 reveiw!!! Holy cow is this thing bad!
Just badass 😎
THIS IS WOWWWWWW
buddy RC and Ohio model products make awesome stuff been using them for a long time. I still have a Revolectrix PL6 powerlab 6 from like 2011 that I got from them still use it to this day powered with similar server power supplys that I soldered myself years ago. I still prefer true parallel "balance" chargers that allows you to charge like 6 lipo's at a time instead of the newer / safer "channel" systems where you can only charge 2 at a time. as long as they are the same battery type ie cell count and mah and they are all at the same voltage roughly within 5-10% you can charge them all up simultaneously this way
I never thought I would like flying so I bought a $100 piece of crap off Amazon just to confirm i didn't like it. But then I was at the hobby store then I was thinking I havnt got the true feeling of flying so I bought a hobby grade plane and hooked ever since. Only thing I'm always stumped on is programming. But flying is the best out of all my rc's
After many dismal previous soldering attempt failures, I recently soldered an EC5 to Ic3 adaptor, to use my xbc-100 to check a 6s 3600mAh ProAir 120c Smart pack. Because, you know, I'm a cheapskate, too. Turns out, I had the wrong Ic3 ends... and I was SOO excited that my solder joints held and the IC3 "pants" fit.... and yep. Useless adaptor.
Anyway, ive got so many 4s Smart packs of varying sizes, that I'll probably just series them suckas if I ever get saucy enough for 8s. I'm still in awe of 6s... for now 😊
Thanks guys! If that new power supply is rack mountable, which kitchen appliance are you removing to make room for the new "BPRC LiPo Charging Rack" ? 😊😊
👍
Nice video! I think your power supply was only putting out 12VDC not 24VDC. Or so it appears when looking at the lower left part of the charger screen which looks like it's displaying the input voltage.
@Brian, I've asked you to push it before. Now we're talking. More 8S flying please... Time to paint. Why have camouflage for line of sight flying? For speed, two different color schemes for top and bottom. Bright! I want to see it when you're out beyond your property. Some planes bring out the inverted in you. Yes!!!
Now I might have to update F16 90mm to 8S. Not sure about the Buddy charger though.
I would have that in the ground in 3 seconds!
a cross between jack black and john favreau
I wish we had a hobby shop in my city. But we don't gggrrr
My comment keeps getting deleted for whatever reason. I have the icharger 308 duo. You definitely do not need to pay $100 for a power supply. Used server power supplies at 15 bucks on ebay
Get a Gas Turbine Man! that is so complicated for a 7 minute flight, and expensive too. Gas turbines are so simple fuel and go, then Trim up, throttle up, throttle low and away you go. You would not want to sleep in a house with a China made 8s battery :-(
Where do you think 98% of Lipos are made? Hell the planes we buy are made in China.
Give it 6 months to a year, all those kinks will be worked out for charging 8s and up.
