I get my braces in a week - excited and 50!
I just got braces 9 days ago. I am 52 yrs old. Like you said, I wanted to do this my whole life, but it was just never the"right time". I'm ready to start smiling. Your smile is Beautiful! 😁

I had braces at 47, my teeth here shifting a little. I highly recommend. As was mentioned, as a child I lost a few teeth also. Braces allowed me to get rid of a bridge I had, bridges can be problematic, moving those teeth involved saved me future issues. If you get wire braces know that you HAVE to be vigilant with daily cleaning and care. I was always praised by how well I did to keep them clean, but still got two little cavities. I highly recommend getting a Waterpik water flosser, I didn’t get one, I feel like it would have prevented those two cavities. My orthodontist told me that the patients aged 40 and up were becoming almost higher in number than children. Most people can’t afford braces until they are older.

I am 53 and just started Clear Correct. The reason I waited so long is because I have many crowns in my mouth and I didn’t know that I can still wear braces with crowns. I just started few months ago and I can’t wait to see my new smile;-)

I loved your video. I got my braces at age 58, full metal braces also with springs across the front of my teeth. I felt every time I went he added more hardware. After 5 months I had to have two good teeth removed to make room to move my teeth. Then I had two big gaps to fill in. Nights I had to wear rubber bands. This went on for almost three years. Yes I am now 62…
In the beginning I had one dentist say to me at my age it seemed a lot to go through for vanity reasons. That comment made me so upset because it was more than vanity. I had had extreme crooked teeth my whole life. I never smiled showing my teeth. Fast forward 3 years I have an incredible smile. I do not regret one day of all I went through and believe me it was a journey. It has made me more confident, it made me look healthier. I swear people even address me differently than when I had crooked teeth. It was expensive and I too did the no interest payments through the orthodontist. My mouth feels healthy as my teeth are easier to clean because they aren’t crooked and tight. I could write a book on all the positives that have come from this. If you’re older and thinking about this , do it. Don’t wake up 5 years from now saying darn I wish I would have gotten braces. It’s a big commitment. BIG, but trust me when I say the journey is so worth the results. Thank you for you video , your beautiful and inspiring.

I am 50 and i have decided to do it . Only few ppl scared me off ,saying that at my age doing it , it will weaken and loose my teeth😢 but i want to do it. I wantvto feel good and perfect smile.

I got mine at age 58, I had a couple dentists say the same thing and that being older my teeth would move slow. I had very crooked teeth. They moved just fine, sometimes they were really loose and I feared they would fall out but that doesn’t happen. Brush, floss a lot, get dental cleanings every 4-5 months and you generate good blood flow that helps your teeth. I had braces 3 years, a long journey but worth every second of it. My smile looks so incredible. Good luck to you…
Any money invested in your smile is so worth it, just be careful to choose a cosmetic dentist, a real expert in smile makeovers and one who listens to you. Watch out for those who keep pressing expensive veneers too, often braces, or braces along with bonding will produce beautiful results. A great smile will take years off you and boost your confidence tremendously.

Such a good decision you did not go to Turkey to have your teeth distroyed and end up with the awful plastic smile you see on almost everyone these days. Your teeth are so beautiful BUT natural looking now. So well done.

I did Invisalign at 50. Best thing ever! A tiny bit of contouring and some whitening.....perfect smile. I used the retainers for a couple of years, then got one of those big plastic night gaurds from the dentist because I'm a gritter. The hard plastic keeps my upper teeth from moving. My bottoms never budge. Good luck!

Ok so i went back to the vegan cupcake video. Just wow . Worth every single penny . You look amazing unfortunately my bone density is shot i cannot have any work as my teeth are not strong enough my teeth are loose. I would have to have bone transplant work . Im ok about it its not affecting my mental wellbeing . Everything chaneged after full hysterectomy.

I’m 54 and I want to close my gap in my two front teeth. Other than that, my teeth are pretty straight. I was wondering if I was too old for braces. I did my research and veneers are more expensive, but I’m still undecided about braces or veneers. Tfs your experience. 😊
