Great video. I never thought to jack up the rear to make instalation easier. Learn something every day. Best to you.
1st chain is backwards smooth link goes against the tire , 2nd chain is on correct - the screw on links to attach the chain works well
better than the lever & hook type
I’ve got the exact same setup. Nice.
The 44" snowblower works in all kinds of snow, and the don't go sour waiting for the snow to fall. And the john deere chains fit a lot better.
Yes definitely need the cross bungees or I personally use heavy zip ties in x pattern or the chains slip off & you already know what a pain they are to install
Chain is on backward. Cross chain should lye flat on tire with ends out
I personally use this in winter & another set of rims with bar tread tires in summer much easier each season change
Those stuck up drag strip officials. 😆 🤣 with their rules and whatnot. Good vid as always.
Light 2 wd tractor with small plow. I have same tractor x300 and I prefer to use my Mahindra with a box blade or a small dump truck with 9 foot plow because the small tractor takes way longer. 4 wd really helps and a bigger plow is a time saver. I’m considering putting chains on my tractor too the Mahindra but due to its size and 4wd I rarely get stuck. I watched to see how the little x300 2wd handles pushing snow. Thanks
Great video - very helpful! My X320 works OK w/o chains but they would help. Where did you get the chains and weight bracket? I priced J-D chains ~ $200 (I’m in Canada) seems a bit silly to me.
The chains and bucket came with the blade when I bought it from a private seller. Aftermarket chains are available, I believe.
Good video. Where can I get one of those bucket holders? That would come in handy when mowing. :)
Amazon or eBay
I prefer to use my x390 with snowblower.. 10" of snow is a breeze to clean. If I get s snow that the blower will not work. I also have a deere 325G skidsteer.. But then you are leaving piles, and I do not care for mountains in my yard.
Boy, you sure over thought that chain untangling. It never takes me that long. Did you figure out why your fronts are loosing air? I have the same issue.
by the time he untwisted the chains it was spring, and I also has a tire that leaks all the time even with a new tube and a can of stopleak, I just keep putting air into it over 10 years now
I like the mounted bucket. Is that a diy thing?
That's a John Deere accessory, I believe.
Do you raise and lower the blade using the pedal that raises and lowers the deck? Thanks.
Yes, the blade is connected to the same linkage the mower deck uses.
Is driveway asphalt or concrete? Did chains cause any damage?
Concrete driveway. Yes, the chains did scuff it up quite a bit. I had to adjust my technique, and try not to spin the wheels much. I just don't have enough weight.
That manual lift for blade gear to be a pain after awhile. I owned N X530 for a very short while.👎😮
You need some weight on the back.
