I’m Ron Palmer, I am an instrument rated private pilot and owned a 7seat Lance which I owned for 10 years. I am 84 years old and can no longer pass the FAA physical. I love your flights which I never did as I always used airports. I still feel the plane and controls when you fly. Thank you for your videos. Love you guys.
What a Great Trip! And the extra unplanned stops for fuel, muffler repair, flat tires, etc., not only bring your group closer together but look at all the new people you met along the way. Now the next time you are in the area you have contacts all over the place! Awesome Adventure, Great Film work!!!👍👍😊
Glad your home safe and sound thanks for bringing us along with you!
this type of cideo is EXACTLY what my brain and heart cries for. You are living a childhood dream of mine that I don't have the money or eyesight for. So these videos bring a lot of joy to my heart.
You guys should have your own reality show! Very good. Your a natural at video production, postproduction as well as being the host! Best channel on UA-cam!
For perspective for non-pilot folks - the average pilot flies less than 50 hours a year. So the Low and Slow to OSH trip for these dudes was more than most GA pilots do annually!
If I only flew 50hrs a year I'd just find something to do. I'll often go out and fly 2-3hrs in the morning and catch another hour before sundown. Oh wait I fly an Ultralight so that doesn't count in the GA world ;)
Between yesterday evening and this morning right at 4hrs. And to that I throw up a Big Ol' Shaka !
That Lazair looks cool!
It's a blast. Too unconventional for most to understand however. Talk about low and slow. I fly "Ultra" low and slow ;)
What you are saying is absolutely correct. Because of the expense of GA people are hardly flying enough to stay proficient.
Thanks for letting us tag along. I'm sure it was another great adventure for you Trent. Keep the videos coming.
Love how this series shows all of flying. I just bought a Cessna 170 and spent a couple days getting beat to death going over the desert of New Mex, Az, and SoCal. Ended up leaving it hangared in SoCal and driving home so i could get back to work. Coming up the valley was so choked with smoke I wasn't going to risk it. Briefer said several places reporting 3-5 vis and pireps of IFR at altitude. On the drive north I noticed a couple small fields with their beacon on during the day, IFR. I'm hoping in 2 weeks when I have a weekend off the smoke has cleared and I can bring it home. Its great that people can see that the adventures may not always be the most fun, but they're still an adventure!
Watching Trent Palmer videos just makes you want to fly bush planes..awesome effort.
What an adventure! Living the aviation dream you guys! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us.
Grover Bowie that's nothin. I was paid $1 an hour when I was 11 to shovel horse manure. 😉
Loved low and slow to KOSH and back. Great to meet you at the show. Welcome home! Robb
Can’t wait for spring to get out my Piper J-3 cub and get flying with my buddies. Thanks for taking me with Trent.
Thanks to ALL the Flying Cowboys for allowing us to tag along on this Epic Adventure. Watching everyone working together, and problem-solve along the way really showed the true nature of General Aviation. Trent, a special thanks to you for going above and beyond with editing and producing this series of videos. And, congratulations on the approaching 100,000 Subscribers !! Well deserved ! Peace out from SW Florida
I’ve had a career on the edge of aviation for a while and never had the need or desire to get my license. After discovering your videos a few weeks ago and watching all of them, I have just signed up to get my pilot license. My first flight is on the 19 of August. Thank you so much for reminding me that flying was one of my childhood dreams. Your videos are amazing I hope to have as much fun as you are having.
Did you get your license?
Outstanding, Trent! Not too many have seen America from the low and slow perspective...
You gained 50000 subs in one month!! When I found your channel (with 35,000 subscribers) I said to myself, he deserves more attention because he works hard for these amazing videos that some you tubers with a lot more subs will never make. One month later I saw the number next to your name saying 96 thousand and I said now we're talking! Keep the good job up😃😃
Thanks man! It’s been a pretty crazy month for my youtube for sure!
I learned in a car with no a/c that when it is really hot don’t have a vent on you. It works far better just to have some air movement in the cabin so the cabin is not hotter than necessary. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
You know it was a great adventure when you start getting a sense of the blues when everybody goes their separate ways. At least I did. I really felt it when you guys went down to two airplanes then to one. It’s forever in the memory books and you’re ready for the next one!
Blown away how well you covered your trip to Oshkosh '18. You and the Flying Cowboys , thank you for sharing the adventure. Next time I'm in Reno I'll look for you and Kevin in the skies !
Thanks for the story Trent. I started my adventure at the beginning of the month by binge watching Mark's "Draco" build (that guy is a force of nature, wow!)...then continued to follow his, yours, and the rest of the Cowboys, Low & Slow saga to OSH. I've been to Sun 'n Fun, but haven't made it to Oshkosh...I feel like I have now, vicariously through your videos...I even felt a twinge of pain on the final flight break up, I didn't want the adventure to end...great job!
Sad that it's over! Can't wait to do your engine though. Yeeehaw! Epic adventure Trent... Epic!
Cory Robin comment from 13 Hours Ago on a video posted 1 hour ago?
hey you guys, stop grizzling about your discomforts of flying home! lol Look out your windows and enjoy where and what you are doing! We have to sit here and imagine??? :)
Yep, my fellow cowboys get a sneak peek at some of my videos before I make them public 🤠
Great trip, guys. Good video style …. I'm subbed.
Sorry +McGaha. I’ll wait next time. You guys don’t miss anything! Impressive.
Yeeehaw! 👍🤠
I find this as equally anticipated and entertaining as Game Of Thrones.... and it costs millions less to make .... Mind you Im a total aviation buff so its kind of like a preaching to the choir .. us aviation aficionados eat this stuff up .. remarkably well done
What a trip...Thanks again for all the fun times.
Thanks for bringing me along. My view from the cubicle sucked but I still had a smile on my face.
Thanks for letting me come along for the ride. I'm grounded, so love your v-logs!
Non flying aviation enthusiast -Absolutely great video work. I get to see America and watch you guys have fun. Be safe and keep these coming!
Thanks for taking us on your adventure.
The only thing better than watching this must have been flying it. Thank you for documenting this awesome Flight!!
Awesome! Thanks for letting us all tag along
That was one of those epic journeys where it doesn't all go well, but you get there. Nice trip, amazing pit stops, great fun to watch
Yew!!! What an adventure...properly jealous of you boys! Happy everyone made it home safely with all of the Cali fires and smoke. 42 hours on the hobbs is awesome for that short of a period with everything at Osh going on. Keep up the great videos Trent! Oh and be a guest on the Pilot to Pilot podcast, would be awesome to hear!
Bumpy air is great conditioning for sailing the oceans!!! Great adventure & thanks for the ride-along.
Thanks for sharing Trent! I live vicariously through you!
Another memorable trip done. Great job Trent. Everyone is safe with a safe return
Glad to see you all made it home safe. Great meeting you all at OSH and hope to see you again next year.
Excellent Adventure (!!)
My grandpa was a crop duster in Pompano Beach Florida back in the 50s and early 60s and that's what I picked up as of loving airplanes on my lifesearch rent thank you very much for you guys I love watching you guys fly your plane in the desert That's my kind of flying like I said I don't have my license I don't have a aircraft but if somebody asked me to meet them at the airport and I'll be there to be picked up I'll be there in a minute live next to her airport here in Branson Missouri we don't get much flying around here
People ask me why I love visiting the USA so much. This is why! Some pure beauty out there! If only Australian was a little more bumpy
Again, so glad that you let us share your journey👍🏻🎯🙌🏼
That Mesa before Kemmerer was stunning!
I saw an opportunity for a great shot coming into Kemmerer... would have been fun to see everyone lined up slipping into the runway.
You will have to shoot that next time you have that talented group of pilots flying together. Thanks Trent!
Awesome videos, Trent, that brought back memories of my journey to Oshkosh 1996, in my Quad City Challenger II Clipwing. What a rush that was!
as a glider pilot i like to see these vids man, always an adventure and you dont know where you will end, keep on going
What an adventure !! I must say that to capture my attention and maintain it takes quite a bit - so please accept that as my ultimate compliment.
Great video series Trent! It was great meeting all of the Flying Cowboys at Osh and I'm already looking forward to next year!
I vote for a Bush Plane TV series with you guys!
Wow Trent....what a trip! Thanks for taking us along!
I so enjoy these videos. You positive, upbeat attitude, honesty brings back so many good memories of flying a J3, Cessna 150 and gliders. Thanks so much.
Great adventure Trent. Keep the vids coming. Love watching the Cowboys fly.
Hey Trent, thanks for all the videos. Getting me more interested in flying than I’ve been in years. Now if I can just get my 15yr old boy excited, maybe I’ll get a plane. That’s so awesome watching you guys land anywhere! Chris, SLC
Thanks a lot for taking us to Oshkosh and back. This was fun to watch.
I just got home after a week of flying a pipeline with an Astar. The smoke from the fires made the vis some days around a half to a mile and a half. Sometimes it was hard to see and hard to breathe it all day. Glad you made it home safe. Loved your videos.
Good to hear you guys made it home safe. Nice meeting you and some of the other Flying Cowboys at Oshkosh. Hope to see you next year.
Great to see a local, great trip. Thanks Trent.
Thanks Trent! I used to be a high and fast guy, but your videos have changed me into a low and slow guy. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into these videos! Well done Sir, well done!
GREAT GREAT GREAT .it was like we were there with you .quite emotional to say goodbye to all your friends.loved it.keep it going cant wait for what is to come.
I’m a student pilot at the moment. Your videos are inspiring. Keep it up.
Learned to fly early 70's with Joe Willams in CC. Put my first airplane together, a J-3, @ Frank Norveno's. Love reliving all the off airport stuff in your neck of the woods. Good Work Trent ! !
Epic! Another bunch of amazing shoots! Welcome back home and thanks for sharing!
You are the key to my motivation of flying
You guys have decided the issue for me. I live 134 road miles from Oshkosh. 2018 is the last one I intend to miss.
What a great group of guys! Thanks for sharing it with us. 👍👍
Thanks for bringing us along on your epic adventure.
Great series of videos. Sad watching you guys break up at the end when the 'cowboys departed'.
A whole bunch of others and I are all ready for next year, Trent. Fantastic series of vids...good times, good friends, and great flying. Thank you!!
Awesome videos. Thanks for the show. We appreciate. Safe flying ✈ cowboys. Peace..
So cool... Kemmerer Wyoming is my home town. I enjoyed the trip to oshkosh and back thanks to you.
Thanks for taking us along!
dude, you have to be the #1 youtuber on the planet, #respectfou
Really enjoyed riding along through the internet. Thanks for the videos.
In Reno last night for 'AMERICA' at the Silver Legacy, Great show but it was IFR in yesterday coming in from west and worse this morning heading back out, due to so much smoke. You can taste it and feel it on your skin ! Welcome home !
One of these days. Great video!!!!
I just felt so sad watching this last video from the low and slow to oshkosh vlog, i bet it was hard saying goodby to everyone after two weeks of being together. I wish it could go on. I thank you Trent for taking us along on this journey, i enjoyed every video you made, and hope to see alot more from the life of the flying cowboys! (I subscribed to all of the guys channels so i wont miss out on anything) hopefully i can be at air venture next year! But now ill rewatch all the vlogs from low and slow, from first day to last day.
The videography is amazing! Great work, Trent!
I really enjoyed tagging along ! Great job Trent!!!!
Thanks for sharing Trent! You and the group rocks!
A joy to watch, happy for you guys that you could have such an awesome adventure. You are all truly blessed.
Glad you guys made it home safe .
Great vista scenery and looked like loads of fun....
What a great time had by all. I enjoyed watching your series. Wished I could have been there.
I remember commenting on one of your videos a few months ago and you had sub 2k followers and I said you’d be the next big aviation UA-camr.. boy was I right. Great job man! You’re killing it!
Haha, thanks Alex!
I was thinking the same thing. I think Trent had 86k followers 2 days ago. There's a reason why he's blowing up. My wife gets motion sickness and has no interest in aviation but after watching the horses in this one she would consider popping a dramamine and flying in a small plane. I really enjoyed keeping up with the Oshkosh experience. It looked like a blast. Until the next one.
Looked like a great time. So envious. Keep flying bud
Epic adventure. Thanks for taking us along!
man its really amazing seeing how much distance ground air and states you guys can cover flying low and slow, and did you say reno and truckee was home that's my neck of the woods lol
Trent...I feel your pain when you say its like a hair dryer in your face. I mostly ride my bike here in Tucson and when its 100 to 110...I know the feeling. Glad you're back safe! PEACE OUT! Ü
I found your channel more recently and boy am I glad I did. I've always loved a big tired tail draggers but now I'm addicted. I wish I knew someone who had one that I could fly with, I'm stuck with a 172 with speed pans to rent. If your ever in Seattle, I'll hook you up with cheap gas and parking @KBFI!!! Love the videos and the plane!!!
Just found your channel a few days ago & I'm in WI. If I had known this past summer I would have gone to OshKosh to say Hi. I also know about the love for the high desert as I am moving to my new home in New Mexico in a few months. mountains right on my back yard.
Trent, was flying back to Friendswood Texas from West Texas Hill Country. Lost about 4 pounds in sweet so I feel your pain. Excellent video, enjoyed it.
congratulations on breaking 100,000 subscribers. I am all in and going to my local air Field tomorrow to talk to a flight instructor about private lessons!
Good show Trent. Welcome home
Great Adventure! Thanks for bringing us along... Can’t wait for the next one.
Really enjoyed sharing your adventure ! Cheers from UK.
I only subscribed to your channel about a month ago, I'm so glad I did that was easily the best mini series iv ever watched, I really love the Bush flying, fly safe guys, love from the UK
Congratulations on hitting 100k Trent!! 🤙🏼😁🤙🏼 Love your channel bud!! 😁👍🏼
What a trip, I really enjoyed the mini series. Thanks for posting.
Welcome home! Great footage Trent - Well Done!!!
What an awesome trip, thanks for taking us along.
Great trip Trent, thanks for taking us with you.
Nice trip low and slow. Thanks for the ride.
Dang that mesa though, so sick!
Thanks for sharing Trent, I know it is a lot of work to produce these videos. Must be great to get home after an epic adventure like this one. It inspires me to do more flying.
Great trip Trent. Owning a Kitfox you probably already know the story of Michael Gordillo who flew his Kitfox IV from Madrid to Oshkosh - going east - in 1998. He also did a real time blog though there was no video, just text and some pictures. He got delayed and was under house arrest in Vietnam because his cargo pod looked like a bomb. Because of that they actually delayed the official closing of Airventure ‘98 so that he could make it on time. It was an epic journey that I followed at the time and sadly there doesn’t seem to be any of it still on the internet. I remember when he crossed the Bearing Strait into Alaska I don’t think he payed another nickel for a gallon of gas or a hotel room and had a group of enthusiasts escorting him rest of the way to Oshkosh. It was a great story. I wish it was still posted.
