Whenever I hear and see you play this beautiful music it transports me to the beloved Malvern Hills and the amazing views from Worcester Beacon. It's no wonder Elgar received such inspiration from these surroundings. Thank you Matt for bringing so much pleasure to the world.
What an astounding rendition of Nimrod Matt with great interpretation of the score and played with such feeling and understanding for the piece. Nimrod is a solemn, evocative piece that really stirs the emotions and regardless of music taste, I believe it has an effect on everyone who listens to it. Thanks Matt.
Beautiful reading of this matt. This piece always makes me cry. Mainly because my mum loved it. Sadly she died of parkinsons disease almost two years ago . This was chosen as the entrance tune too her funeral service😢. 😢😢 she will always be in my heart and my thoughts . ♥
Wow, Matt I loved your short clips on Tik Tok (saved them all because its but a few seconds and then spliced them all together😂) so just imagine what a ball I'm having here on YT. Listening through headphones just blows my mind!!!!❤
Matt: I, too, have played Nimrod (although a slightly different arrangement) on the organ in our church here in Indiana. I am so moved by your rendition of this piece! As you know, it’s not about the technical difficulty of the music here; it’s all about communicating the deep feeling of Elgar’s music through registration, tempo, etc. Many organists can play in a manner that is technically dazzling. Only a handful of organists, however, possess the skills to play with the passion you demonstrate here. Bravo! George Compton.
Absolutely beautiful! Elgar - Catholic and supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers. He composed the first ever football chant for a Wolves player and cycled from Worcester to Wolverhampton to watch the Wolves play. Want this played at my Funeral Requiem Mass
Once again Matt you have moved me. Listening to this piece always send shivers down my spine, but the way you played this sent many emotions running. Will you be playing this in Chichester?
Excellent! Good Registration. However, I would have preferred to hear a more gradual decrease in volume at the end by withdrawing stops using next stepper to level of p and ppp.

You play this big organ beautifully and inspire me to want to play it too.
A really super & sensitive rendition of this. Your easily one of the very best young organists in the UK. Thanks.
Excellent! I always find Nimrod really stirs the emotions. I loved this!
Great tempo, excellent use of swell box, registration to perfection, keep up the great work ,great photography ,thank you all
This is one af my favourites, Matt. Played beautifully with great expression and feeling. Thank you so much. James.

Stunning. Elgar's genius is timeless and inimitable.
Just beautiful. So moving and played so well with so much feeling. My absolute favourite piece of Elgar that I never tire of hearing. Thank you Matt.

Matt. Once again you have proved to me that you are the best. One of my favourites. Take care and thankyou. Alan
Sir Edward Elgar himself would have approved of that I'm sure.
A very beautiful rendition, Matthew.
thanks for this magnificent gift to start this beautiful California autumn day
a most refined performance Matt, love the tremulent. your crescendo is beautifully controlled. -sends a lump into the throat.
What truly beautiful rendition of this wonderful work Bravo
Nothing better than hearing this being played on a organ

Spectacular !
Perfection
Also wondering about the score in D … this is wonderful. Did you transpose it yourself?
Absolutely stunning performance. Thank you
I very much prefer this ending as played!! All that pianissimo stuff just robs the feel of a full climax, in my opinion!
I love simon prestons recordings of elgars imperial march too.
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
I find it so hard to play this in the organ. I notice you are not playing it in Eb. I've not seen the score in any other key. Did you transpose it?
It's moving
Ok this is great, now where is it, and who is playing?
All those questions were answered at the beginning of the video.

Beautiful
