WHAT TO SEE in ZAFRA the SEVILLA CHICA of EXTREMADURA

Zafra is known as the small Seville of Extremadura, in the province of Badajoz and just 30 minutes by car from Mérida, so if you want to know what to see in Zafra in 24 hours you cannot miss this video.
On this occasion we left Marbella on a Saturday morning to arrive in Zafra at lunchtime. We left our things at our hotel and began our visit through one of the two remaining gates in Zafra, the Puerta de Jerez. It is the perfect point because a few meters away is the Plaza Chica, one of the meeting points of this city, and yes, Zafra, despite having less than 20,000 inhabitants, achieved city status in the 19th century. Following the Plaza Chica is the Plaza Grande where, as in the other square, several bars and restaurants are concentrated. Nearby are the Ajimez house, if you don't know what a mullion is, I'll explain it to you in the video, and the old Santiago hospital. We continue our visit to the Baluarte del Cubo, where the Puerta de Badajoz is located, and then visit the most important church in Zafra, La Candelaria. On one of its sides is the old synagogue that has been in the Chapel of San José for a few centuries.
For the second day we leave the Pilar del Duque which is located in the Plaza de los Escudos, the Palace of the Dukes of Feria which is currently the Parador de Zafra, and we end our visit in a convent converted into the Santa Clara Museum.
