First of all, thank you for doing a "NO BS" video. I totally appreciate the speed up during the repetitive portions. I've done dozens of brake jobs, but never on my 3500. You armed me with much-needed info. Thanks, brother.
I read nothing but awesome, positive and uplifting comments in this section. It was refreshing to see comradely exchanges between total strangers for once. To all, peace and be well✌🏾😎
Mannnnnn I followed this step by step and did that shit. Thank you bro. Saved me so much money.
Thanks man, just got a 2005 dually to travel for work with our camper. Just learning the truck so I don’t have any surprises
Excellent video! Thanks a million!!
Another outstanding, useful, well produced video! Thanks very much!
Thanks jim i appreciate your input!
Excellent communication. Very thorough. Very helpful.
Glad it helped!
Minus not greasing your slides or removing rust buildup from brackets it was good. I know those covers suck but you still need to disassemble and clean
Was it necessary to take off the hub if not replacing the rotor and just replacing the pads?
Thank you my brother. Your video really helped
Great Video! Best one I've watched!
Very good video thank you
How much is average for a job like this in a shop? Pads rotors and calipers on a 2001 Silverado 3500
Guide pins are supposed to be greased up
Very helpful buddy great 👍 work thanks
Thank you! Glad it helped

I have curiosity the first thing That you take off is separator or is part of the hub

Does the hub need to be torqued at a certain poundage.
Yes uga dugga
Thanks for your help
Where did you get that hand drill from
Badd ass man. Thanks helped alot
At 5:40 . What did you call that right there ? Does it matter if you put them however or they have a directional way to put them . I replaced mine without paying attention to that . I don’t know if it’ll affect me in the future
It's a wear indicator. Yes because it helps seats in the top hat correctly
Great video, doing this today
Glad it helped
Yes, it did! In fact your tip of putting the screwdriver in rotor against the caliber helped too , My My battery impact Milwaukee died halfway through it I didn’t charge it, So I need to use a breaker bar with a socket. Thanks for the tips keep making great videos!
Can you post the link to your vid of the rear brakes and rotors for the 2014 3500?

Does this same method apply to Rear single wheel drive
Torque spec for 8 rotor nuts?
Thankyou. Very good how to
Glad it helped!
Good video. Thanks
Glad it helped. You are welcome
Awesome, what year is your truck? Thanks
No problem anytime! It was a 2012
I'm having trouble removing the rotor off the hub. I have already removed the caliper and all the nuts in front. Is it safe to knock it with a heavy hammer to free it up?
Yes
Always use actually brake pad lubricant not just anti seize
Thanks 💪🏽
Glad it helped
You don't have to torque the nuts?
You should but i dont
@@JaboTheMechanic What should they be torqued too. backpackerwdogs@gmail.com
Which nuts are you referring to
I just did my rear ones on a 2011 3500. Both front and rear are 221ft lbs for bracket bolts and 80ft lbs for 10mm allen guide pins.
what year is this truck?
2012
If you wanna replace rotor yeaaaaaa ,but pad is very very easier than what you do
