Hello, I might be getting a new job as a Windows Network Admin and I know I have watched some of your videos but many things on my end to learn....You are very knowledgable. Thx for the videos
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this video!!! We are deploying 200 new systems at my job and this makes it so much easier with installs! I can have an image with drivers, apps and patches pre-installed! Spent last weekend playing with it on my home HV server. Thank you Thank you!!
Awesome video as always. Have you tried playing with DP without WDS on Windows 10 box? The limitations of PXE you mentioned in your video shouldn't get in the way..do you agree? I have not had chance to play with such setup but would be interesting to see the results. Thanks
@@bjtechnewshd Lol... I totally agree with you about not fixing anything that is not broken. But technology is changing and if something can be done on Windows 10 box why do it on Windows server instead. 😁
Hi Bernardo , never ried but worth trying install MDT on Windows 10? I'll do some test when finish my config for DC01 , MDT01 and CM01 ! on my hyper-v ! great videos , i follow you since 2017 !
@BTNHD It might be beneficial to include all steps for booting off of USB, installing with the iso then explain how MDT takes over to complete the imaging process, for those who don't have the server OS. This is unless you've already made a video on it.
Video was already done with the ISO and USB boot. All these videos have been done before and are in the channel. Apparently many of you don’t like to search and look for it. This video was only to show that MDT can be installed on a non server operating system. Question was was asked and answered. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. 🤓
@@bjtechnewshd apparently you didn't read the last sentence in my reply, either 🤦♂️ A more appropriate response would have been. "Hey! Thanks for the feedback. I have made a video of this before, and I would recommend anyone who doesn't know how to accomplish this on their own to check it out by visiting this link: " I myself know how to do this but it to help those who don't. But hey, what do I know, I'm not a content creator, lol.
I have done that in the past and no one listens to me lol. I’m to old to repeat myself 🤣. I hear you and I do appreciate the feedback didn’t mean to sound like an a$$ on the reply. Thank you and happy holidays 🤓
@@bjtechnewshd Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude either...and maybe the more appropriate place to talk about this is in private so pardon me for clogging the comments... Despite when my subscription started, I've been watching your videos since 2014/15 and enjoy what you post. I'm always putting myself in the shoes of someone who just discovered "topic" (in this case we'll say "MDT") and then ask themselves a follow up question like: " Well he mentions it can be done via USB doesn't go into any details or links to explain to me. I'm still feeling very lost". My suggestion was to help mitigate that for those newbies. Have a Merry Christmas, yourself and happy New Year. 🙂
Crap!! Never thought about it that way. I wish I had more people like you to kick me in the head and bring sense to me. Your 100% correct. I’ll make it up promise 😁.
Hello I'm in charge of 11 high-schools in my country, basically I have mdt on my windows 10 laptop and a synology ssd nas to deploy images on my clients.. My main concern is to adapt to the current domain in each school (11). Do you know a way of doing a task sequence that could adapt to different domains in order to join computers to the corresponding domain in each school.. Every school has a different network addressing scheme, and domain name... Thanks a lot for your help
Hi, I am not sure if I see any benefit in having MDT installed in Windows 10? I mean yes, we can install but what's the point at the end of the day you will burn it in USB. Can someone enlighten me benefits for having it installed in MDT beside not being able to afford Windows Server 2016/2019.

Add 'pause' to the end of the batch file, then you get to see the result before the cmd window closes. ref time 4.10 ish
Thanks for making this video. I've used tftpd32 in the past to pxeboot without WDS
Tftpd is very old school. Back in the Norton Ghost days 😁
@@bjtechnewshd See this will grant what I mentioned above in my comment to... 😁
Crap! Might to have to find my notes and make a video on tftpd 🤣 - thanks for giving me more work 😂
@@bjtechnewshd Sorry bro..that was not my intention...you don't need to do tftp32 though... deploy DP without WDS. ;)
@@bjtechnewshd You can also use tftpd64. This isn't so old school.
We use a server since we're able to do it that way, but starting out I've used MDT on desktop.
Very helpful. thanks!

I’ve always used WDS when PXE booting over the network to deploy Windows. It’s a habit of mine and if it isn’t broken - why try to fix it 😁

Very true. I guess I’m super old school in building everything on servers OS. But I should think about company’s that can’t do it all on servers 🤔
@@bjtechnewshd Yes sir.. and if you work for company like Dell services..its all about saving money :)
Thanks, where do i get WSIM for 21H2 please!?

X86 is not 86 bit, it's 32 but. Processor architecture is going to be either 32-bit or 64-bit. The majority of modern processors are all 64-bit
