They fixed the issue where you could get a rare leader in the rare slot in set 1 so the rare leaders are less common from what I’ve seen.

Stolen landspeeder is a great combo with the new Han solo leader, for 0 you play it, it immediately dies because of the 2 damages and you can then have a 4/3 for 0 from your discard pile. (Confirmed by a judge at my local store)

Your judge was incorrect, unfortunately. Han has to resolve fully before the text of the Landspeeder happens. So it will be destroyed while still under your control and you won't get it back.
