Great fun Ben. Loved your reaction to the turn of speed. Not flown in the RV6 but had plenty of time in the back of John's RV4 (tandem seating) All of the Rvs have an amazing speed range but by comparison to my Jodel John has to bring his RV4 in very flat and slow as dropping the nose by only a few degrees increases the speed like mad which is not good when landing over the trees on our hill. Looking forward to your next videos, sounds like you have been very busy!
Thanks Tim! Ha, yes...Jon mentioned its so slippy it just wants to speed up (sometimes too much) if you get that nose down. Yeh must be interesting. Well...yes! Few things planned...but it's quite hard work having a video done every week i must admit! You're a hero for doing it for so long. Thanks for watching.
Congrats on the article Ben - good for you and your club, well done. Also, wow, great strip, superb aeroplane, I'd love that sort of piece of kit - ideal hobby aeroplane? You lucky chaps. My buddy and I, with our dad's, spent a lot of time in tail draggers, quite a lot of skill required to fly them, especially certain types. Tail draggers, are great for off airport and short strip work - especially with decent sized wheels/tyres.
Thanks very much! Certainly is the perfect hobby plane yeh. Though I must admit, you felt a little TUCKED in for my liking - certainly comparing it to a microlight. Thanks for watching
Hi Ben, thanks! That's interesting, your microlights are more roomy? You could say that a Cessna 150/2 is more confined than Eg a C42? Or so I'm told. When to 600kgs microlights come on line that should open things up more in the UK.
Nice one Ben! Even as pilot flying, I'm not keen on -ve g when practicing stalls, but maybe I'll get used to it. It's certainly a different feeling as a pax. Maybe the buzzard wasn't sqwawking 😁
Such a lovely aircraft! Looked a lot of fun! If you ever want to have a go at the other end of the group A spectrum, come along for a flight on my Tomahawk out of Kemble!
Definitely want one of those, so elegant and nimble! I’ve always been lucky with G forces, even during my aero’s rating never felt sick, it just hurt if you went over 5G’s. Squeezing your quads and tensing your stomach/abs when about to do +’ve G’s always helps too I find...
Amazing. I have a friend with a share in an RV4 and I am looking forward to a ride in the back seat of that soon. It will be very different to the C42 I am learning in!!
Yes! It certainly will. It almost makes the C42 feel more like an armchair, you're very upright and strapped in - if that makes sense! Have a good one and thanks for watching !
A lot of people have problems with "G" / motion sickness, the main problem is for passengers and often if you have had some experiance on the controls and then follow through, it reduces the effects as your brain knows what to expect. In the past I have flown mild aerobatics (loops, rolls and stall turns) but could not handle much more that a few without some level flight if the instructor was flying them without me on the stick as well, yet I was happy to fly a 10min routine without any problems.
I enjoyed that Ben, " I'm so bad with G- Force". It does take time to get used to it as you said. I can get to 4 or 5 G in Spiral Dive in my paramotor ( G straining required) That RV is QUICK!!
Great video mate! As for G tolerance: I found the visual disturbence of ballistic rolls affected me more. But, when we pulled 4.2g in the RV-7, THAT was noticeable! Certainly good motivation for me to lay off the pizza 😬
Thanks buddy! Yeh it's funny I've just not ever liked rollercoasters or things...Think i've got a really sensitive inner ear you know. Could always tell when the aircraft was turning on the way to a holiday as a kid...most people don't seem to notice that. HA! Fascinating!! Thanks for watching, great to have you along
Great vid, this has strengthened the case for an RV! I fly a Yak and feel sick after a few light aeros, it's something you get used to, but some people find it easier than others I guess
Can’t wait to see the actual aeros, especially that rear-facing camera so we get to see your face 🤣 I must admit, I do struggle with the Gs and find I lose any tolerance I’ve built up very quickly. I don’t think I’d be able to handle the controls and a loop at the same time 😬
Oh Johnny .. YES!!! 🤣🤣
Brilliant mate 👍✈️✈️✈️
hahaha! OOOOOH JONNNYY YESSS !!!

Great aircraft and a fantastic video Ben!
Cheers buddy - absolutely loved it! Thanks for watching
Enjoyable video.

Yeh its superb fun, and superbly quick. Ah wow yeh that would be great sometime, thank you!! And thanks for watching
Can’t wait for the lockdown to end. ! Really need to take my RV for a nice long cross country.

Yes I have heard that....omg it is exactly that....effortless and nimble...and elegant indeed! Thanks for watching

Just a smidge Brokeback with the Oh Johnny! ROFL
😂😂😂 I'm ok with that

Yeh thats very true...I am FAR better when I'm flying it. Ah yeh interesting stuff that buddy!! Thanks for watching, again!

AH wow thats fair going isn't it. Yeh mate I am...especially if I'm not flying it! Yes - it's RAPID......
@@BenAtkinsonVideos it's looked so much fun, but not quite skyranger fuel economy.

Thanks Brian! Yeh - its an amazing aircraft. Ah nice! Love a Yak. Certainly not born with the same tolerances, thats for sure!
Love that strip. Looks like it’s in great condition
Very entertaining! Look forward to seeing you squirm in a roll or loop 🤣
Im not!! 😂😂
If you are getting too much heat as a result of the green house, try a Koger sun shade. It’s very effective I’ve found.
Great video footage , interesting review of a different type of aircraft👍
Thanks andrew...yeh it was great fun to do ...!!
Superb guys!
Great fun - I've never been in an RV, looked a hoot - looking forward to your G Tolerance flight......rather you than me.....
You would love it!! HA....I'm awful at it...itll be very gentle to start with (I HOPE) ...ha!
I had the RV grin just watching this. Fabulous! You’re going to need to develop a 120kt brain I think...
That looked great fun.
Certainly was Jed! Thanks for commenting and watching.
Get in some turbulence with the RV and see how you feel! Make sure you are belted in tight though!
Oh nice! i love that aircraft
Thanks for watching mate, yeh it's incredible.
Cracking video, Ben!
Thank you!! 🙌
Some machine!
Really is, what a bit of kit. Thanks for watching.

Probably a Van's grin in there
Where is this sand bar? I need to land my Kitfox there.
Love the RV aircraft. Had a go in an RV9A and the difference in speed really caught me out when leaving the circuit and ATZ. Was there in a flash 😂
Ha yeh, you just have to think ahead of the plane....crazy!
Nice plane! 🤙🏻😎 Oh, and video too! 😋
What an aircraft. Effortlessly fast!
@@BenAtkinsonVideos Yes, indeed. Then our planes are slow? 🤣
Just noticed your friend using ailerons to level that wing drop at the stall. It would be better and safer to apply opposite rudder instead. !
how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
I want one!!
ME TOO!
What size are the both of you? I want to know if I’ll fit with the wife.
6’4” 245
5’3” 125
SO if you had uploaded this video with masks down would the cops come arrest you?
Looking back, how embarrassed are you wearing those face rags?
