I think its safe to say 75% of the visitors to this event know who Jacob is.....some day there will be a Carpetbagger Festival somewhere.
We met him at the Electric Chair. There were def alot of people who knew who he was.

I believe that the Trading Post and Bunker 304 are both owned by the same folks who own the Mothman Museum. We visited in April and loved those stores!! Cryptid lovers dream stores - so much great stuff!!

I went to Point Pleasant over the Summer to see the Mothman Statue and Museum. It was super cool but I hope one day to go to the Mothman festival!
Need to attend this someday. I've been playing Fallout 76 and they have a ton of mothman love in the game. Even his statue in-game, since its based in west virginia.
My son and I did a 2 day trip in WV going to as many of the IRL locations from Fallout 76. It was a great time

Jacob, you're going to get a little bit of culture here but the suit you took a picture with is part of the furry community. They are really well known for that beautiful moth suit. I actually had an run in with them a while back at a convention in Pittsburgh It's good to know that you actually ran into somebody I know lol😊

This is a huge bucket list for me! I love cryptids and the mothman is my favorite cryptid story. I often tell people of my encounter with slender man in Putnam county NY many years ago which sparked my interest into cryptids and the paranormal. Thanks for taking us along.

One of the theories I've heard is that Mothman could be from another dimension that somehow crossed into our dimension. Don't know how that works, but it's worth thinking about.
The theory is that he is an “Ultraterrestrial” a being that can shift between dimensions

Funny story, I worked in Americorps NCCC in 2009 and we got to work the Mothman Festival and my buddy actually donned the Mothman costume and got to run around at night scaring kids
