I had a scammer threaten to kill me and my wife a few weeks ago when I called them out on their bs, which was a little scary because they somehow had my real name and address. These guys are miserable, soulless, garbage human beings, beyond any sort of redemption. Videos like these make me smile!

I've told my 75 year old friend if she gets any calls from any company claiming anything to just say "hey, do you know Perogi?". I told her they'll probably hang right up if they are a scammer.

My friend said she received a random call and her display said the call was from New York. When she answered and the recording stated that there was a random charge on her CC, she knew something was up. She stated that she partially opened a PP account, but she decided against it. She told me about it and told her that it was a scam call. I told her that Pay Pal doesn't have any residency in NY. Courtesy of Perogi and the SP team, I was able to inform her on what types of calls to look out for and to inform her mother as well. Thanks, Perogi, for all of your advice and information

I am of Indian descent and know that they are idle threats as like you said you are getting under their skin. Keep doing what you are doing. Someone else who does alot of good is Boda Scambaits. I know that their are alot of people that do scam baiting content and that is good. We need to talk to everyone our friends and family and especially our elderly people, and show them these videos and explain how the scams work. I am a substance abuse counselor and one of my patients always receives calls from these people and I asked them if they knew they were being scammed and have they lost anything, they said no but the callers are abusive. Thank you for everything you do. I told my patient to watch you.

Thank you. Thankfully, have never been scammed, but have been 'approached' numerous times. The trouble is they virtually are always Indian people, who can say some ridiculous things like the police are on their way because of not paying enough tax. I feel bad for older people who are not tech savvy. I’ve warned my mom of these scammers. She’s now taken to not answering ANY calls that she doesn’t know to save herself because I warned her once they know a phone number is active they’ll keep calling from different numbers to try and scam.
I just told my grandparents to ignore any Indian accented tech center (really any call) calls.
Seems to work.
🇬🇧 I do the same -- NEVER answer the landline at all & expect genuine callers to leave a message. As for the mobile, I only answer those that I recognise. (Another futile landline call coming in now...🙃)

And you are right, I have friends in my age group that would not even think to use 'btw' and other such colloquiums, but my laptop has a chiclet keyboard and it's not great for typing on, particularly when you learned on a Royal upright from the 1940s. I thank you for these videos. My father was just scammed out of $19,000. He lives in Florida. I live in CA. The addresses of the packages was an hour from me - my husband went but was unable to intercept the second package. We had my dad recover one package from the UPS store before it was sent out. They convinced him that he would get in trouble with the FBI for stealing the money from them (McAfee). My poor father took out his life savings thinking he was doing the right thing. Anyway, local PD did not give a hoot and wouldn’t do anything. I had my dad make a report with his local PD, the CA local PD and the FBI. I know he won’t get his money back- but can I give you the addresses to add to your information?

I cant express how much I love these videos!!! We took over my fathers computer business, I knew scammers were bad.... but it was a shock to experience it first hand. By the time we see the victims, its already happened. Their money is gone. Theres nothing we can do but clean their computers and help them change their passwords, install software to help prevent it. Its every day. We try so hard to teach people what not to do and how to protect themselves but some people just don't understand and will get hit over and over. Its heartbreaking. Thanks for what you do!!

Though people higher up the chain almost certainly will have connections to the kind of organized crime groups that can and do kill people. It is probably much less dangerous to be an American in the US doing this than it would be for a local in India or wherever the offended scammer in question is.

Idk, I guess it depends on what you consider "victorious". Most of the time all he's done is make some random cold callers mad, and from what I've seen the absolute biggest project he's done related to scamming resulted in getting a few call centers shut down for like a day. These places are still bringing in hundreds of millions a year. Sitting in a call for hours with one scammer does virtually nothing
