I know a Pastor who will bring their children for Avengers, and sort of Disney movies but NO to Tamil Movie. My Opinion is don't mix Christianity with Entertainment. Everything in moderation is what the way forward. Cinema does have influence in our life whether you want or not. Only you can pretend to an extend. The reality will come out one or the other day. Take Entertainment as entertainment and Spiritual as spiritual. Enjoy it in the right Proportion. Again Samuel, do some topics that are in the Grey Area. Cinemas are full of lust, rape, sex, extra marital affairs, - everything that the word of God calls a sin. This is what cinema is all about. But there are also so called'Christian movies' like the Da Vinci code, Christ temptation etc that deviates and contradicts from the scriptures. Even though secular movies come under a cover up of'social awareness' movies bla bla bla, still they have contents that the word of God does not approve. There is no need to watch movies that stand against our principles - so it's a big NO for secular movies. Guarding our holiness is very important, coz Christ is gonna come back and reward is for our deeds. Are we ready to face him with the holiness that He expects?

Any movie that is based on Biblical characters and increases our faith like Ten Commandments, Benhur, Quo Vadis, Daniel, Esther, Hosea and other characters is totally watchable. And there are other general stuff that I really like. science, historical, comedy, kids etc.. home alone , free willy, Martin Luther, around the world in 80 days, Tom and Jerry, and many many more..I feel it is important to be real and not rigid. All movies are not bad. But I guess there is lots of legalism in Christian circles nowadays, people behave as if watching tv is sin , every technology has 2 sides good /bad ..we should choose the informative, educative and motivational. Even if someone wants to get away from watching movies or pornography these stupid ads or trailers will pull weak souls in.
