The first 25 minutes were horrible!! Annoying to see ANR with a cigaratte all the time. Was that really needed for his character? He falls sick and is still smoking. The doctor does not tell him to stop. Seems rather silly! Even in those days, people knew smoking was bad. The couple fight over money but his novels are selling well and they seem to live in a very good house. Hard to believe they are poor.
