  • Hey guys!!
    In this video i will show you all how to make any closure look just like scalp with out spending the extra money on a silk base. Or simply hiding the grids in your lace closure.
    * BTW I did not bleach this closure *
    Items needed :
    1. lace closure
    2. Brushes (foundation) to apply the products
    3. concealer or foundations
    4. bond protective sheild (I was told in the comments that you can also use got2b glued in the black or yellow)
    5. blow dryer (optional)
    This is temporary..... it will wash away with water and shampoo if needed
    If you make a mistake ....so no worries!
    Try it out for yourself!
    Hair specs - Bundles are from Yvonne hair from Aliexpress goo.gl/77IcrU
    Closure is from Bliss wigs also from Aliexpress

    I used to do this back in the day about 7 yrs ago to my entire full lace. I never shared my secret because I was being petty 😂But it works I buy foundation lighter than my face because my scalp is lighter and you can always find light liquid foundation at the dollar tree.
    All this expensive stuff people buy is unnecessary no one not even other wig wearers knew I had on a wig. Take your time ladies when you see people with obvious wigs on they did not have patience. It isn't anybody's business to know if you have a wig on.
    The tea hee hee is how well you can conceal it. This was a great tutorial.

      Queen Bluntress hopefully you can answer my question. My scale is lighter than my face. My concealer is toffee, foundation is golden toffee and powder is warm honey. Which would be best to hide the grids on my lace? closure

      Haha I know exactly where you got this from cause I used to do it back in 06-07. That’s when we were getting straight full lace and not just frontal wigs . When bundles were 4 oz and you could get two bundles for a full head. This was before UA-cam university . Are you still wearing wigs ?

    When I heard you say concealer I was thinking "🙄 not another concealer video" so ready to leave. But I'm glad I stayed because this is honestly the first time I've seen it done this way & most definitely the best one 👌🏾. The other videos I've seen some people literally swipe the concealer on there like "done" & it's highly noticeable. Thank you so much for this 🙌🏾

  • @bethjohnson5989

    Just FYI I tried this. Make sure you use a CREAM concealer not a liquid one. I used liquid and it bled thru into the blond hair strands on the other side. Only used one thin coat but I had to shampoo a bunch to get the concealer color out of the hair strands. So if I try this again I will use a cream concealer.

      Yes, I'm *very* late to the party 😂 But, I wish I'd known this trick before I started LOL! However, since I didn't have any cream concealer, I thickened up what I had with translucent powder, and it worked really well. Thank you for your tip. ❤

  • @Fancyfoxxx
    @Fancyfoxxx 6 років тому +26

    This method is AMAZING. I tried it on my closure & it worked....but for some reason, the protective shield made the color of the concealer lighter, so my "scalp" was WAY lighter than my actual face. So I washed it off & tried again...with the darkest LA pro concealer & it made a difference but it's STILL significantly lighter when applied with the protective shield. Idk man...

    Thanks for this. I always wondered if you could use a rubber-like product on the grid. I just bought a braided wig and it looks grid-like.
    Also, the second option for those who like to wash there wigs often and don't feel like doing this, you can always buy brown or skin tone silk and sew it under the wig for scalp like look.

    Has anyone found a method that is waterproof? I was thinking if I use a waterproof foundation and mix it with a clear silicon waterproof sealant then brush it on the lace should do the trick and you probably could get away with doing one layer since the silicon I'm assuming would be thick enough to evenly distribute across the lace filling in all the holes. Then for washing and cleaning your unit, you would just wash like normal and hypothetically speaking there should be minimum shedding because the silicone would act like a weft sealant? I don't what do y'all think? does this sound too crazy lol.

      Just use whatever color tinted and a mascara brush on the parted hairs to hide the deep through 😉 or a damp towel with diluted alcohol n wipe the hair.

    • @ShoshanaP
      @ShoshanaP  7 років тому +4

      +trish ellis I'm not sure
      But you can try using a thicker viscosity concealer or foundation. It can help in creating a barrier. Also use less on the first two layers then you can add a little more for the 3rd and or 4th. I hope these little tweaks can help you 😊

    • @jobriconsultancy
      @jobriconsultancy 6 років тому

    • @ShoshanaP
      @ShoshanaP  7 років тому +20

      +SaloneDutchess yes the protective bond shield is water soluble.... when washing your wig you need to either avoid the area where applied or be prepared to apply concealer and bond protective shield after about one to two washes 😊😊

      So if you were to sweat will concealer run down your face and neck?

    • @ShoshanaP
      @ShoshanaP  6 років тому +3

      It will not run. What will happen is it will go back in a liquid form and if not removed before it cools back down into the more solid form... It can stick to your hair. Nothing women water can't resolve. All you would need to do it wet the area and it'll start to break down and you can remove it, it if does happen to stick to your hair. It's a water soluble product

    While this seems like a great idea, it didn't work for me. Maybe others will have better luck. Mines bled through and got all over my hair. I'm really regretting buying my closure. This is so not worth it for me.

    • @ShoshanaP
      @ShoshanaP  7 років тому +4

      +Ashley Humphries I definitely didn't have that issue. But this product is water soluble so all is not lost. All you have to do now is wash it your closure that is with the water and a little bit of shampoo if there's some resistance. Then after that you could go ahead and apply again but this time just use a lighter hand and make sure that you're not pushing it through the closure, that you're staying just on the surface. I really hope this works out for you because it works for me so well and my sister. Thanks for watching

    Hmmm... this is great. I’m wondering if we could go a step further and put a thin layer of clear coat to stop it from dissolving when wet... it would probably also seal it so it doesn’t have to be done all over again as well. Imma try it thank you for showing up this!

    Question: How would this method work if you’re wanting your lace glued down? Will all that makeup and gunk get in the way?

    • @ShoshanaP
      @ShoshanaP  2 роки тому +2

      So I personally avoid the first centimeter to two or so of the lace when applying the product. Try to make it gradient down to where I stop it. So that it's not a harsh line of demarcation I try to make it blend into the lace.
      So since this is free of the product it's open and able to be glued down by lace glue or got2be glue

    • @ShoshanaP

      I have been told about people using got 2 be glued in stead and they have seemingly had success. You can try that if it is easier for you to get your hands on
