Demystifying Brain Surgery from Process to Procedure

When your care team recommends evaluation for surgery, many questions emerge, including curiosities about the process, the risks, and the possible benefits. Through this session sponsored by the Henry Ford Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, Dr. Ellen Air, Neurosurgeon; Dr. Jules Constantinou, Pediatric Epileptologist; and Dr. Jamal Khattak, Adult Epileptologist, will discuss how candidates are evaluated for surgery, and they will discuss common surgical procedures for epilepsy, including resective surgery, neuromodulation, and laser ablation.
