Back in the day Mr. LL Cool J was the Super fresh n Clean Tommy Hilfiger before his time kinda rapper. Fresh Prince tried to take his style in certain ways but was never the real Coca-Cola Classic.
I was thinking, if you could only preserve ONE artist's entire discography to showcase and highlight the progression of hip-hop through the ages and styles of production and evolution of flows and peaking in the "golden era"... LL Cool J is the only one that comes to mind. There may be other MCs some consider higher on the list, but there is no artist that has really endured and transitioned with the times and stayed a prominent name throughout. You could say someone like Rakim, but while he has been there since the early days and a monster lyricist, his catalog doesn't really act as a full showcase of the different elements and facets of hip-hop. And other's like Pac weren't even there during the 80s, or others there that early weren't consistent or fell off...
It Was HARLEM AT THE RUCKUS I SAW U WIT Yo Man....... I did not know what he was talking about, I Am just know understanding what hes saying... So he seen 👀 this chick at a spot in Harlem.....
