Legend no doubt, I’ll say it now and forever say it winning the nw200 after what happened to his dad , greatest sporting moment in history, they broke the mould after him a truly amazing rider and the heart of a lion

Don’t we all…but asides, MD deserves his own place in history, I seen him from the wall and hedge, and he rides harder than the others, his own style, and spectators love it

@@Anyonewhos I couldn’t think of another that carried so much emotion, danger intensity, it’s a very subjective I guess but if it isn’t then has to be in the top five at least but for me no goal , or putt or 4 minute mile comes close , but again it’s all subjective hey
I was at that race. Not a dry eye in portrush that day . Totally agree the kid is amazing a total legend his own man his own boss. Keep er lit lone wolf 🐺 see u in a couple of weeks on the Isle of man
Such a humble man, i don't think he realises how much love & Respect for Michael Dunlop the fans and paddock have for him and what he's achieved all off his own back.
I agree, I’m in America. My bucket list is to see it live. I think he’s great . He seems to race to challenge himself. Not for the glitz and glam. Definitely who I’m pulling for. I don’t follow any sports. The Isle of Man turns me on

Proper old school racer, just like his Uncle, dad and brother! Pure raw talent and an absolute beast. Absolutely rooting for him this year in the Isle of man tt🏍💪

@@forddriver8827 Can't remember what year it was at TT but it was raining, there was surface water and everyone else backed off. MD was going past them like they were stopped. Race was red flagged and McPint said "He's a complete lunatic."

This is why Michael and the whole Dunlop family are all legends very humble phenomenal motorbike racers.the Dunlop family has given more to motorbike racing than any other family in history nothing but respect for every single 1 of them.

He made a massive point about not knowing where you will be in 6 or 12 months. He and all the other riders at the tt put it all on the line every time they set off down bray hill. No wonder tt riders are different and sometimes difficult they are one mistake away from death. The are a different breed of people.

I wasn't that keen on him a few years ago-until I learned his family history. Now I am a big fan massive respect to a lovely human being.

I never get tired of listening to Michael. Definitely an old head on young shoulders. Full of common sense. One thing all Road Racers have in common apart from being quick on a bike is that they are all so modest.

I like Michael for the his back to basics approach, he doesn’t want a massive team or corporate Ora around him, unfortunately to be at the top, some of this has to be done, but he’s been very good at finding that fine line between being a motorcycle racing legend, and not becoming an overly obnoxious superstar…….the best talking is done on the bikes 👍🇮🇲❤️

with all the great artists that are around, im pretty sure that the Joey Dunlop Monument with him sitting on his SP1 could be turned into something quite special, just a thought whilst seeing it covered in grime and other droppings.

I have always been intrigued by how motorcycle racers deal with, moments. Fear and, the reaction, how do they deal with it ?
As a non native speaker of the English language it’s a shame I can hardly understand the man.
But he’s a hero in my book anyway…
He is difficult to understand from time to time. I’ve got used to how he says certain words and phrases.

I live about 30 miles from where he grew up and have to think about what he says

Terrible interview, what a wasted opportunity.
Terrible way to start an interview, and followed by scrambled questions.. Learn to conduct an iinterview, especially if you are interviewing such high profile people.

How can one answer a question like that.."Are you a legend ?". ...not the best of interviewing skills
it's actually a really good question, of course he doesn't think he's a legend... but he also knows what he's achieved. No ones ever going to be able to say yes to that but it's interesting how they seem themselves and how they put that in to words. probably the best interviewer I've ever seen, And i met Michael Parkinson once in woolworths.
@@chrispritch. Plus the hour long podcast they did with him, on the TT + app site……that was fantastic, he was more open than he’s ever been, given that most of his interviews last mere seconds 👍🇮🇲👌

As a proud scot there's not a single accent in the British Isles I don't understand, seems to be a south east England problem
@@seanmeikle5477 I absolutely agree with you. Regional / local accents are amazing echoes down the long lane of history. They aren’t used for fun. It’s just how locals from that spot speak. It’s dying out as we stir things with those moving away and outlanders coming in.
Some are extraordinarily resilient like Manc, Scouse, Brummie (I was born in Birmingham).
