Thanks for posting this video. I've always been interested in how to make faux tortoise shell (resin) jewellery. So sorry for your loss as I lost my dad also over a year ago. God bless and thanks again :)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Being creative got me through the loss of my mother a few years ago so I know exactly what you mean about just keeping on crafting. Just found your channel and I’ll be watching for more!

Hi Amy! First time watching you. I’m from Australia. I feel for you re your loss. I lost my mother and mother-in-law (who I loved) within 2 weeks of each other. Hoping to meet them again in heaven as well.
Love your UA-cam site so far, and very keen to learn more about resin jewellery making. Bless you!

Thanks for the tutorial. What about bubbles after, are they an issue? And do they need any sanding after?

You can easily get rid of bubbles by just using a utility lighter, Don’t keep the flame on the resin for too long. Make sure to do it quickly. That means 1-3 seconds of heat exposure at a time. I recommend doing it 1 to 3 times as needed, with several minutes wait time in-between to allow the resin to cool. Sanding is optional, depends on the finish you want to achieve.

Are you wearing a respiratory mask when using resin? Anytime you are mixing and using resin it should be done in a very well ventilated area. Can cause serious health problems. Please research and take care of yourself in all your wonderful art endeavors!
